Immediately, Louise regrets her outburst. Having ruined her marriage in the pursuit of her career, she fears alienating or shutting out her daughter as well. The reporter's expression softens, and she touches Amanda's shoulder. "Sorry, Amanda, I didn't mean it like that. I...just... It's not that I don't like...it, but doing it as quid pro quo like that, wouldn't that make me a slut? I'm trying to be a legitimate reporter."
"Well, it's not like you need to tell everyone if you do. Besides. People like sex. Even I...uhm..." She stopped herself, fidgeting a bit. "Well, you should still try having a sex life anyway. You can't just let yourself grow up to be some spinster. And he's totally hot. I'd actually want him as a boyfriend, but he doesn't like me. I'm used to not being the first choice...but I can still get it, if I want. Not...not that I'm...ugh...you want to just take a look at these rooms already?"
"Oh, I..." Louise looks around awkwardly, not wanting to probe the question of her daughter's virginity. "I, yeah, let's go to the rooms." Louise walks with her daughter in awkward silence. After a while, she turns to face Amanda. "You're a beautiful girl, Amanda, and someday you'll be someone's first choice. You should wait for someone nice, though, not someone like Silas who only wants sex."
Kelsa: Kelsa blinked at Ayra, having no idea who the weird looking (and frankly really RUDE) woman addressing her was. She shifted her grip on her belongings so she could place a hand on her hip as she struck a sassy pose and rolled her eyes. "Oh, yes," she replied sarcastically, "Thank you for your warning. I could neeever realize that ghosts are actually real all on my own, oh wise one." Sebastian: "It... is kind of nice to have places that are just... quiet," Sebastian replies, his eyes wandering to Fiona's breasts, that darker part of his mind wondering how they must feel in one's hands or mouth, how they would look bouncing free of their confines. He unconciously licks his lips, looking like he is just getting the liquid off of them even as his inner thoughts keep focusing on those things he knows he should not. "A-And... yes," he says, desperate for something, anything to think about otherwise, "These kinds of old castles tend to have a lot of hidden tunnels and passages and stuff. M-Maybe nobody's walked through the right wall... yet."
"I don't need to marry him or anything. I just want to have fun, a little. That's not a bad thing." Amanda shrugged as they made their way to the upper floors. The room looked immaculate. Silas had said they left it mostly untouched, but this was even more carefully maintained than he let it on. There was still the hints of lamps, and working electricity that was clearly wired in, but much of the room had that old age feel. Amanda was looking more and more amazed with this place. "Wow. So this is pretty much the kind of room a princess would live in? It's a lot better than mine, that's for sure."
Humans: @Mazoku "You know there a real thing? And you're still gonna go?" The woman's face remained stiffed, but she raised an eyebrow. The purple haired woman had a serious look, even though her attitude could definitely use an adjustment, tossing her hair with a wave of her hand. Kelsa didn't need to touch her. She could practically see the spiritual aura glowing off of the woman's body. Same with the guy beside them. They obviously weren't just fame seekers like the rest of the pack. These two had some serious power. "But you still can't actually fight. Can you?...I can keep you protected. For a price." Not willing to turn down striking a chain of deals to make a profit, she looked curious if they'd accept, though Conner probably feeling the need to justify themselves a little, stepped up. Kelsa was aware he certainly had the money to afford it, but he shook his head. "I've been doing a fine job of keeping my handsome face intact on my own without buying any fake charms, thank you." He didn't seem to really get the situation entirely, but touched Kelsa's shoulder motioning towards the door. "We have a lot of ground to cover." _________________________________________________________ Sebastian: "I don't know about any of that." Fiona sipped more of her drink, the ghostly ichor starting to take an effect on her by making her cheeks redden.
"Indeed." Immediately, Louise is unpacking her equipment, searching the room and surveying for spectral activity. "It's strange, this room looks good enough to have guests in. Why isn't it part of the hotel?" She asks mostly to herself, while she searches under the bed and through the nooks and crannies, looking for any kind of ghostly goings on.
It was tempting, just given the chills the purple-haired woman was giving her just by looking at her, to take her offer. Kelsa had never really had any sort of back-up in her previous adventures and it was already a bit different having Connor along as is, so what would have been the harm in having one more? On the other hand, Kelsa had gotten herself out of sticky situations before and, if this woman really thought it was that serious a situation, why was the first thing she did was to ask for money? Sure, Kelsa got money from the results of her adventures too but that was only to make sure she could keep bankrolling more adventures. Her mother had always told her to beware those who focused on profits, for they were always the first to cut their losses. Still, when Conner touched her shoulder, she placed her hand over his and kept her eyes on the other woman. "Just one quick question," she asked, "How much are you charging for your... protection?" _________________________________________________________ Sebastian swallowed nervously as he took a little more of his own drink, feeling it go to his head. And now she was letting herself get inebriated around him! Lowering her guard! Making herself vulnerable! Just like SHE had that night Fiona was all but ASKING for it now, the darker half of himself all but internally screamed as his gaze at her grew more... intense. There was a small glint of hunger in his eyes that, if her judgement is not already impaired enough to notice or if her thoughts of him are such that such a thing would be a blind spot, is probably one she has been given by customers with less than pure intentions. He bit his lower lip, his breathing heavier as his face grew flush and he probably would have been heavily sweating were he still alive. He should leave! Now! And yet he stayed, staring at her. "F-Fiona," he whispered, "M-Maybe... w-we should stop this..."
Yseult: "As you command." She said curtly with a deep enough bending of her knees to not be discourteous. She hadn't been at all bothered by Anita's attempt to get away from her. She had the right of it, of course, speaking that much meant they were tardy. With her numerous clones it was a lesser matter for Yseult, but they could be wilful and it was best to set a good example regardless. "If my Lord would like then I'd be happy to show him a proper lesson in serving guests. At a later time." The maid's French inflection suddenly a little stronger than before the Prince's own adjustment. "A first impression is not simply about voice, but posture and poise." She straightened herself, forming a cup with her hands before her stomach, and followed the prince with a quiet and submissive dignity. Taking the lead as they went to the entrance hall. A few others of herself that had duties that could be put of until later also convened on the entrance hall, should they be needed. They were not exact copies but all of them bore a strong family resemblance like they were siblings, daughters, aunts, or mothers depending on their age. Johannes, Courtyard: He had to admit, he liked the sarcasm dripping from the tanned reporter's lips like it was venom. "Arya here is serious." Placing a hand on his ally, lightly pulling at it. Only felt fair to warn her. Even if Kasumi could be more polite about it. "The knights in shining armor are probably inside and of the ghostly variety, but if there is anything you can come running to us if you still insist on going inside. Guessing you also know about the fact the castle doesn't let us leave after midnight." He started to search in a satchel he kept around his waist, one of several he had for his quite resource intense spellcasting. He brought out a small pouch on a string for hanging around your neck or tying somewhere. It smelled faintly of flowers and dried herbs, quite a pleasant scent. "A good luck charm." Not explaining it further before he gently tossed it over. It had a pretty weak effect, a finding a nickel while you walked kind of deal, however, "You can pour it out for an extra oompf. Name's Johannes by the way, already introduced Arya. And if you're a paranormal reporter, I'd love to share notes... If you survive..." Clearly joking by the end. But if she was here then that meant she probably had a good nose. Could even have struck magical gold without knowing it.
