Perking up at hearing that, Alicia looked at Alice. "You could probably trace necromantic energy from that, then." Taking a look back to the officer, Alicia wondered about that. "My own people aren't known for their subtlety. Unless Rebecca has any thoughts, I don't they'd just let us take it....so from the sound of it, the lich has hightailed it then. Not surprising. But that does mean it had a plan of exactly where it wanted to run away too. There isn't many places for one to hide, but these things can be expected to almost always carry a backup plan...." Alicia thought on it for a minute. "Of course, they can't just set up camp anywhere. It's Phylactery isn't something it's going to leave behind which makes me think it must still be lurking in the city. It won't risk leaving something like that to chance and wherever it moves to, I bet money to it, it still has to be somewhere it can keep an eye on it."
Renee nods, and walks into the back of the chop shop. @Daylan Zach shrugs at Melissa's question. "We can go back, or go make sure that Nadya's safe, up to you. I've never met her, I don't think, so I don't have an opinion. Does her safety matter to you guys?"
Alice nods. "Sounds like it..." The cop's eyes widen in confusion, overwhelmed by the information Alicia is spurting out. "Filacto-what? Look, I don't know what you're talking about, but the medallion's no longer in the evidence locker. One of the detectives assigned to the case has taken it, and I'm not quite sure what they did with it." Another cop car drives past, and the man casually pulls out a notepad, making it look like he's issuing a ticket, before putting it back when the car drives off.
Alicia sighed. “You can’t just shoot a lich. They’re tethered to something that binds their souls. Without breaking it, they’ll respawn with enough time. Trade off being, they can’t ever leave it behind. So the lich must be still active in the area. They couldn’t completely abandon it, even if they wanted to.” She sighed again at the dismissal. Wasn’t as helpful as she was hoping he’d be. What did..maybe...if there was one thing she had learned from her time with the society, it’s men were simple creatures. Walking up to the vehicle so she could rest her arm on the window sill, she leaned closer when facing to him. Not that she really needed to. Her swimsuit barely hid anything, but the scraps of clothes weren’t as important as the nun giving him a smile. “I’m sure you could come up with something. Come on, help us out. You can’t think of anyway to chat up this detective friend of yours at all?”
"Well, knowing Nadya. She can probably handle herself. And us being there would... well, probably it would anger her." Melissa sighed, thinking back on how the young girl acted on their first mission.
The cop gulps and scratches his head, eyes roaming along Alicia's body. "I-I, well, yeah. I owe him some money, so I could give it to you and say that you're delivering it to him... N-Not sure how you convince him to give up the medallion, though. He doesn't know about all this supernatural stuff. At least I don't think he does." He angles his thighs in an attempt to hide his erection.
Zach nods. "Alright then, mission accomplished, I guess." @Daylan @unisol_gr44 "Ready to head back?" (Sorry for this arc, guys, I didn't really plan it out well.)
A little stunned at how easy this was, she was amazed how much time this approach saved. “That’ll work. I’ll figure something out about the medallion...or Rebbeca will.” Giving him a playful wink, she felt an unusual amount of fun at seeing him squirm. She worried she was overdoing it. But they were just talking. Nothing to it, right? “I’m happy to find a guy who can give me what I need.”
He gulps again, his bulge becoming even more pronounced. "I-uh... I can certainly give you what you need... Whatever you need." Alice giggles, her arms wrapping around her mother's waist, massive bust pressing against the older woman, as the two of them look like models in one of the dirty magazines Alicia was cautioned not to read. The cop's jaw practically drops at the sight as the mother and daughter tease him.
"Ready when you are." Melissa replied with a smile as she heads out of the chop shop. (No worries, it was fun. Though, I think I went a little too far with Melissa's corruption.)
"Yeah, sure," Erika replies, following the group along, a little disappointed she did not get a chance to really cut loose with her new weaponry... and as much as she wanted to rub having saved Nadya from more enemies in her face, it probably was not worth risking another 'missed' head shot at the moment. Still, there were other interesting things to do at the moment, as she watched Melissa walk along in front of her. But that could wait for when they were back at base. (It's cool. I'm sorry I'm falling a bit behind too.)
Before too long, the group is taken back to the Estate, debriefed and told that they'll be informed of what happens next with the vampires, and with Nadya. They're dismissed and given freedom for the rest of the night. The director asks if they have any questions, before being given leave to depart. Outside, Zach yawns. "Well, that was an interesting mission. You guys got any plans for the rest of the night?"
'No plans,' James said, looking tired, 'But casting lightning spells always takes a toll. I might just get something to eat and drink and then catch some sleep.'
As they returned, Melissa had no questions for the director. Though she did hope those vamps will keep their word, all she could do was trust in them. Once out of the briefing room, the sexy milf looks at Zach, "I think I'll head to the library. Most of my knowledge about monsters come from movies, so I'd like to remedy that." She said with a giggle.
"Sure thing." Zach nods. "Rest up, James." Zach turns to face Melissa, and his face draws into a smile as her gaze meets his. "Oh, really? W-Well, if you're interested, I could, um, come with you." He gets the words out nervously. "I know a lot about them, monsters, I mean. Well, I know a bit."
@unisol_gr44 "That would be wonderful!" Melissa cooed, her smile turning into a grin which James would recall was one she wore after teasing him so much. "Well then, I hope we'll work together again, James." She said in a warm tone, that belies her lustful expression. Melissa then waits for Zach, before heading to the library.
@Daylan 'I will,' James nodded and turned to Erika, 'Hopefully you'll get to use your new gloves on the next mission.' The young man blushed a little, 'Y-Yeah, I'm sure something will come up again. You'll have to tell me what's up with that outfit change at some point. See you around, Melissa.' James left the others and went to the cafeteria, grabbing a bite to eat and drink, before he headed to his room.
He follows Melissa nervously, and the two quickly find themselves moving through the second floor of the mansion, pushing past some solid oaken double doors to a large double story library, shelves lined with books. It's empty, besides a haggard looking woman at the front desk, a librarian about the same age as Melissa, though she hasn't aged nearly as well. The woman pays little attention to the newcomers, happy to leave them to their own devices unless asked a question. Zach sidles up next to Melissa. "So, um, what type of monsters were you thinking of looking up?"
As James pushes past the door to his own room, he feels his phone buzzing. Looking down, he sees a message from Chelsea. Hey, James. Sorry for standing you up tonight, I know I said we'd go out on the town, but some work came up last minute and I totally forgot. Sometime soon instead? I'll make it up to you. Jade walks up to him, eagerly butting her head against his legs.
