Interesting. I shall read it now. TBH I had given much concern to am origin story because it's very transient and keeps stuff to itself. It was more about its motive now. TD (I call him he because that's the voice that appears in a male head, but could easily switch sex if it entered a female head although I did think then it would be keen on chocolate). Their are a few things that I should mention. The reason for this I put down to my inexperience of the format. They are: The dreams are actual POV sexual experiences of TD's past hosts. He uses them as a way of continual sexual suggestion The protagonist almost needs to be trained and encourage by TD into regular sex. TD is very keen Ben to spend time on sex or something which will lead to a sexual result. Ben owns quite a large house, a big car and has lots of money tied up in shares even though his income is non-existent so he could pay for a lot of sex, but that kind of thing does not interest Ben any more and Ben prefers the adventure. TD gets his biggest rush from climax but also gains quite abit from Ben being turned on. The Porsche owner being young just got carried away with everything ... maybe I'll reveal that later You might have guessed but Ben cannot expel TD from his head. Similarly once TD has set up home in Ben's head, only death can release him. I know this makes it a little complex but I hopr it helps. Now to read your thread.
You say 'could' do you mean TD can consciously choose its sexuality? Of course what you want for your story is cardinal. However FYI; Dividends come from shares, and that is considered income by modern governments. Dividends is the shareholder's share of the profit the company makes that year. For instance, share holders were upset at Steve Jobs for cutting the company's profits in half so that the company can buy up its own shares. Mister Jobs could have been murdered because he intended to return Apple to a private LLC. Bank accounts that hold money generate interest. When a member has $500k in the bank the interest is considerable compared to someone who chooses to live from paycheck to paycheck. Modern government also considers interest to be form of income for citizens. How long can TD Exist outside his host? such as when he hops into a woman's head to alter and implant suggestions/compulsions.
I have now read the threads and thank you very much. Because this is my first time being asked to approve anything, perhaps I need some help her. Obviously one thing I should have been prepared is a change in the style of writing. There are some points I would like to make to you but I don't know whether this thread is the appropriate place. If it is let me know and I'll tell you my thoughts here. if not then wherever is appropriate. I'll tell you what I envisaged by making the story public, and maybe I was naive, that people would take, say the incident in the shop, and write a sex scene with Kelly which would either lead back into the Bella story (this is maybe a branching problem i.e the time I offer the vampire slave option), for which i did have a possible story with Kelly and Vlad, or go off on its own tangent. I'm presuming you're doing the latter. In which case have we almost entered a parallel universe, so do as you will, or does the story have to maintain more coherency? e.g. in my universe, she has a boyfriend, who is not actually a vampire and nor is anyone else in your universe, she may not have a boyfriend and vampires could exist So is it normal on this site for this kind of universe shift? If it is then I'd like to see where you take this. If you find this post a bit weird, it's because I'm new. You can see I'm struggling with this
I used to work in the banking industry and I don't mean in a bank. It all depends on how you own the shares e.g. you can choose to re-invest those dividends tax free whereas if you take them that's when the taxman comes in. Maybe the rules are a little different where I live. Ultimately the protagonist can free up money if necessary, but would prefer not to. TD is neither male or female but does reflect the sex of his/her host, as it desires merely gratification it is also ambivalent about sexuality. Your point about 3. is an interesting one. Here are the rules I am following: He only really gets a strong buzz from being in his current host's brain so unless he's convinced of along term benefit, he will in general return as soon as possible He can only do one thing at a visit, although he can remain if it is a repeated compulsion, idea. The more connected a thought that he provides is the longer he takes to place it and especially remove it. Compulsions are easy to give and take because the person acts without thinking but the memories created might take time to work around i.e. justify, it depends on the person. e.g. the he manages to persuade the nurse that groping a patient was such a ridiculously reckless thing to do that she may think she imagined it. TD can only leap a limited distance. In the initial possession he is almost carried along by the force of the blast and barely survives. So typically if someone is further away than a typical living room he prefers not to leap. However if involved in a major bit of brain surgery I suppose you could argue that he is confident of coming back to the host then the person he is altering could be allowed to go further away, but I think he would require a lot of persuasion. If the host should die while he is out the head, even TD dies as well, or possibly more likely the current head becomes his host. TD can only do the target what his host agrees to - he can't leave for someone else's head without permission even if he doesn't have to return immediately - but as you have seen he does covertly work on the host's brain which he would never admit to. If TD isn't getting his gratification then probably bad things are going to happen to the host Everything is helped if the target is receptive. e.g. Bella's a sub so a lot of what happens makes sense to her and maybe Janine, being the quiet one, is a natural exhibitionist. Janine's acceptance of what happens in the shower is more to do with being carried away by the euphoria brought on by meeting her compulsion, so although you might assume she is utterly repulsed it is overridden by the good feeling which TD didn't have to push further and, not giving anything away, Janine has not left yet.
I apologize if I am confused with what you are asking but encase you are unaware; I believe that (dis)Approving threads is done in [Manage Stories] that is the second option within the black background mini-window that pops up, after clicking the inverted triangle. Then under the title MANAGE the tab on the right should say "Waiting For Your Approval". The tab that you are on will have bold black txt for its title instead of light grey. I am fine with posting the points you want to make here. Hopefully someone else interested in contributing will gain insight as well. I believe most stories here treat choices as parallel universes. In short it takes a lot of pre-planning to link posts/realties across threads, without confusing people. My intent is actually to be somewhat consistent just in a different way. Such as how does Ben describe a vampire exactly when he says/thinks that they fail to exist? Since TD is a spirit, or ghost, that 'feeds' on emotions of a living biological entities; that is a definition of vampire as an adjective, instead of however one defines the noun. I mean even our science is mostly ignorant of reality. We know enough to send probes outside our solar system and build tri-corders we call iPhones but... So how does any one sapient know what they are talking about if they say something does, or fails, to exist?
Well that is a relief. I wondered about maintain consistency becasue when some people have added stuff it has been really short and so fairly easy to seamlessly fit back into a story, otherwise it would become a logical nightmare. I think that what concerned me most about your thread was the appearance of the other goth in the shop and the way it was handled with Kelly, allbeit at TD's prompting, being so dominant towards him. I just thought it might be simpler if he just had a compulsion to leave and mope about it in a local cafe. Because of TD's nature it's difficult to move quickly so if say the goth, with some ungoth like behaviour, had decided to punch Ben TD could not stop him. That is why I made Bella's partner sit in the patrol car, before making a move on her. Mind you, in my other story path, I am going to have to tread carefully with Janine's friends. Now because it is another universe, my second concern is rather redundant. If there was a sexual encounter I thought it might be useful if Kelly never knew about the costume being for Bella because of them possibly meeting in a surprise situation, but of course then it's already diverged from the conversation with Kelly in my universe. I had envisaged Kelly being a lot tougher mentally than Bella even considering Bella's profession, although of course Bella would win if it got physical. Finally, and again now irrelevant, Ben was at some stage was going to try to convince Bella, Kelly/Selene, Gary/Vlad that he was a real vampire, but it all goes horribly wrong. I still may do that. Bella was also a strong candidate to receive the power should Ben die, although I would guess that someone else could take up the story from there. I think Ben, and indeed Bella, are easily corruptible by TD so might be interesting if real challenge like a nun or a happily married family man (maybe a politician) ... although he could have plenty of sex with his wife, he might find it hard to be so stimulated with the same woman. Regarding TD or TF (the fey) I wondered if it had a long history then it probably occupied famous leaders, such as Roman Emperors or Catherine the Great, at some point. However it would be quite difficult to write a story about ancient times without age becoming issue - Ben can't have dreams about what Tiberius and Caligula got up to! So an alternative would be if TD was created by a mad scientist in a lab and has in fact been around for just a few years killing/causing the death of his hosts every few months. Obviously none of this affects your version of TF. Having said all this, I'm going to approve your stories as they are because I'd like to know what happens.
Just working on one conclusion to the Bella path in my story but I am going to release all those threads at once.
