And one more, which I have toyed with adopting for months:

That's right, I want to adopt the UR Story.

I just posted a chapter in a story that hasn't been updated in 2 years (The Wedding Band). Is it the story owner who approves new chapters or is it the site in general that does? If it's the story owner I'm unsure if my chapter will see the light of day.
I'm unsure how a story gets qualified for adoption but If my chapter isn't approved soon could The Wedding Band go for adoption? Worst case scenario I would be willing to adopt it but I don't know how great a job I could do but I would LOVE to see this story be revived.

No updates in six years and the 'owner' is listed as MIA: can I take over ownership of:
https://chyoa.com/story/a-bet-blonde-brunette-or-redhead.3759
And rehabilitate this twice discarded story?
Edit: You know what: Cancel that: this story is so far gone that it would be better to start my own...

Since the owner has approved your chapter(s), I assume everything is alright!?

May I take over 'Space Station 69'? With a little TLC and some ruthless editing I think it could become a great story.

Yes, I've added you as an owner.
Omegah2o was active a day ago. Let's see if he approves your chapters. Otherwise you could contact him.
