The new Adopt a Story Program

Cantalope hasn't worked on the subjugation story in close to a month and a half I was wondering if I could take over, I could do a lot with that story

 

He's active from time to time. So I'd suggest adding a thread and see if he approves it, or asking him whether you could be editor.

Yep, I've given you the editing rights to the three stories.

 

I don't know if this it the right place for this but haven't found anything that fits better so I am posting it here: (What follows is directed specifically at Friedman.)


Guidelines
Pretty much anything goes, as this is my first story and I wanted to keep things simple. I notice that in some stories, chapters in in such a way that when people add new links to the story they can't/don't always fit with what was written.

It's kind of a personal pet peeve of mine, so please avoid if you can. Thank you.

These are the thread submission guidelines for the story Diminsional Rift Resort for which I recently took over editing duties: now I would not bother mentioning this were it not for two key and related facts:

Fact 1: Earlier tonight one Catfish27 approached me asking if I could as editor now make the story public as they had 2 threads already written that they wanted to see added to the story and ideas for a lot more: I regretfully told them that I was hopeful that I would eventually be able to do so but at the moment was not owner and therefore it was beyond my power.

Thus reminded that I had not added to the story in a few days I went back and started writing a new thread: which was when I saw the guidelines quoted above: which I realized:

Fact 2: Were clearly written by JingleJester with a public story in mind!

Based on these two facts I submit to Friedman to change the story to public status! With myself as editor and thus available to approve/deny new threads based on these firm though vague guidelines left behind by JJ in his absence the story can prosper till it's owner JingleJester can return to tend it once more and the several people I have heard from over the past few months who wrote one or more threads to add before they realized it was a private story can get their content published, while I will of course leave JJ's content alone till he himself can come to finish it: by which time the story will long since have grown to the point where it is unrecognizable, weather it is moved to 'public' status or not, my own contributions serving to cause that occurrence if Friedman will not 'unlock' it: but that is what happens when you just abandon an idea this amazing for months on end...

And, should the joker bell not return and the tale not be unlocked, in the end the result will be the same because every month on the anniversary of JJ's last update I will ask Friedman to make me owner again and the very day he does I will unlock the story just as JJ clearly intended!

In closing I think it would save everyone time and hassle to just open the story now, so I can cut down my requests for ownership to seasonally or yearly whichever Friedman says would be the appropriate amount of time to wait and which I would respect, so long as the other people are not forced to wait along WITH me...

 

So, I'm not asking to adopt anything... but this thread seemed appropriate.

I see that KingSanford93 has posted an already published story (to be able to add), but doesn't give any credit to the original writer or contributors. Is that an acceptable way of doing things? (Rather than adopt the original) - Must be since it's been approved, I guess...

The story Sweet Lickings has been deleted (all threads have been replaced with a message saying the story is deleted) so it's pointless to put it up for adoption.

 

I ask to be made owner of 'Sweet Lickings': I could do SO MUCH with that story! (Basically ANYTHING...)

Friedman, I would like to be an editor of Razor7826's "The Secrets of Smith Paper Company" (https://chyoa.com/story/the-secrets-of-smith-paper-company/cover) story, until the rightful owner returns for it.

Hi guys! Can someone transfer ownership of I.S.S. Ishtar to Xenolan (Formerly known as Gystex)? It was his original story and he's back to add to it.

 

I would love to adopt private school teacher as I think I can do good things with it.
