https://chyoa.com/story/The-Girl-Who-fell-from-The-Sky.35179 In my story I've posted 7 chapters, but the menu says there are fourteen, and it is seven deep. I think the fourteen comes from me doing minor edits on chapters and not ticking off the box at the bottom that keeps edits from being considered significant and in need of being noted. Can I get that corrected, and how could I do it myself if that is possible. It's not really a serious issue. I'm only motivated to ask because of my OCD. ^_^
No, editing shouldn't change the number. The option for minor edits just prevents the chapter from changing from white ("chapter read") to blue ("chapter updated") on the story map. There is a bug that messes up with the number when a story gets published first. Usually, the number is lower but it might have counted some chapters twice during the approval process. Right now, only @Friedman is able to fix the numbers.
Okay, as long as I know it's not a mistake on my part, I can likely keep my OCD in check. ^_^ I won't pursue it further unless I get a lot of people asking where the missing chapters are.
I've messed up again, and have no idea how it happened. My fingers slipped on the Keyboard and I ended up posting three versions of the latest chapter, "Eventually" I deleted the material in the first two and put an explanation in them. I'd appreciate it if they could be outright deleted. Please and Thank you.
You can delete chapters on your own. Just go to the Edit Chapter page of the respective chapter, click on the red "Delete Chapter" link in the sidebar and confirm your choice. (If there would be child chapters, you have to delete them first.)
Much gracious. I still am not sure how it happened, but if does again I'll at least know what to do about it.
