Elena frowned. She could throw numbers... but the Prince should know that the Empire could do that... was there another thing to play, or was he just a fool. First thing, she sends a message to followers - the warriors would gather in the capital during the next three days. She suspected she would have many small craft ships and a few capital ships - which, for anti-pirate actions, was good. She would probably gather a legion strong militia... If not more. Next, she checked reserve fleets she could borrow for that endeavour. She checked which imperial officers were the most skilled, she sought a person or people who would command a battle. Currently, most people wanted nobility, but she was more interested in skill, in the officers, she would choose. She knew, she was not good enough to command herself and have no doubts she would win.

"When we met not a minute ago you introduced yourself as a sister of the Church, and yet now you claim the church has no authority here?" she asked this with a raised eyebrow and an inquisitive gaze before she continued. "From what I've been briefed, you had yourselves a rogue bishop. So long as that charge proves true, then he was beyond his authority and should have been removed." She tilted her head in contemplation, "Although informing the planetary governor would have been a more appropriate action. As then the bishop's removal may have been done through proper procedure. Regardless, one corrupt priest does not nullify the authority of the Church." "Yet now you have a man, a mage from what I hear, proclaim a priestess divine after she rose from the dead! And the whole world falls under their sway?" Her question boarders on accusatory. "This is very alarming indeed. I should like to know more about this mage and his priestess. Tell me sister, what is the story?"
Heading downstairs, she sees Halipha standing in front of a row of prison cells, inspecting the occupants. Joining her, Vizelle sees that the slaves are a diverse mix of genders and races.
3rd fleet it was. She checked the last mission of the fleet and the history of the commander. Then she moved to comlink and asked for the connection to the commander of 3rd fleet.
"Anyone catch your fancy?" Vizelle asked as she looks at them, But looks can be deceiving. She thought to herself as she mentally probes every slave, eager to see if anyone of them could put up some resistance.
“I am lady Eanne Winterwood, of house Winterwood.” Eanne introduced herself with a friendly smile, though her gaze was firm as she looked back into Amara's eyes. She chose not to mention the fact that she was a member of the Emperor's council. “May I know who you are?” She already knew, but there was no need for them to know that. She watched the sisters carefully, to see their reactions.
The heretic priestess chuckles, the pleasant sound reverberating across the snow and bouncing against the cliffs as they approach a fortress of some some kind. "Pardon me, I'm from the Church of the Holy Mother, not the Holy Mother Church. Perhaps we could have chosen a name that was less confusing. We worship the Holy Mother, our martyred and resurrected lady." She smiles. "I do not claim to be part of your church any longer, and I'm all the more happy for that fact." The gates of the fortress open before them. "We did notify the governor, as well as the archbishop of this sector, even a cardinal. Nothing was done, even after the Holy Mother was murdered." She frowns. "Arch sorcerer Valdor may have proclaimed our Mother's divinity, but he was far from the only one. You'll meet him soon. Maybe even the Holy Mother herself, if you're very lucky. They will be better equipped to explain what happened than I."
Xavier handed Ulie the bottle and put the snacks on the table, as he sat down beside her. He opened his bottle and smiled as he clinked his with hers, 'Cheers. Well, let's see what this adventure movie is about.'
The 3rd Fleet has a long and storied history spanning centuries of service, some of which Elena has heard without even needing to look it up. Researching it, she sees that the fleet has battled almost every enemy the Terran Empire has ever faced, from human threats to xenos. Despite lacking large capital ships, relying more on fast cruisers and escort vessels, it has a history of punching above its weight, with well disciplined crews and a disproportionately large amount of firepower. Looking at the last mission, she sees that the fleet has just returned from a multi-year long mission on the very fringes of Terran space, dealing with wave after wave of pirate incursions, spread thin to deal with scattered attacks against colonies. Finally, they've been relieved, and are enjoying some peaceful downtime for the first time in a long time. Spoiler: NPC Roll 83 Looking at the commander, she sees that his name is Vice Admiral Arminius Thrax, and that he's a veteran with decades of service. Thrax, from what intel she can gather, is a gruff, no nonsense kind of commander, who values results over all else. He's apparently got a reputation for, if not outright disobedience, then a severe lack of tact. He's been reported several times for speaking out of turn and insulting higher ranking officers when he feels that they're acting 'like damn fools'. Whilst he never did anything that could get him too badly punished, his career suffered for it, and he was made admiral only recently, later than a man of his age and service record normally would. After a few minutes establishing a connection, Elena sees a hologram appear in front of her, displaying an older man with the bridge of a ship visible for a few feet behind him. He looks at her, or at least the hologram of her that's being projected onto his ship. "I didn't expect to be contacted by the church today. What do you want?"
Spoiler: NPC Roll 13 Halipha shrugs, and looking at the slaves, Vizelle doesn't spot anyone who stands out. They're all cowed and emaciated, probably farmers from some remote agricultural colony somewhere, Vizelle gets the impression.
Amara holds Eanne's gaze. "I'm Captain Amara Chernobog, of the Nautilus." She nods. "So, are you one of my father's supplicants, or are you just some entertainment?" Sitra looks up. "Mara! Don't be rude!" Her outburst is brief, and she goes back to being introverted. Amara shrugs. "If you're the latter, stop by my room. My father's richer than me, but I'm willing to spend more for some fun." She walks off down one of the hallways. Sitra approaches, bowing slightly and looking remorseful. "I'm so sorry about her, she's not normally like this." Chernobog himself continues to sit, looking slightly bored.
"Hmm. Unfortunate. But they'll still be put to some use." Vizelle shrugged and heads back up to the VIP lounge until her disciples have their fun. And unless anyone of them does anything extreme, she attempts to read the ancient book.
The three look among themselves to silently confer over who will start speaking, before the young woman takes the job upon herself. "Well, we could each bore you with all the reasons, but to put it in brief terms? We think the Empire sucks. It sucks for the nobles, who think that they'd be better off running this planet themselves. It sucks for the church, who think that they don't need you, since the population here mostly believe anyway, and honestly, you suck for people like me, the ones working on farms, in mines or in manufactorums." Baron Verskaya smiles. "I apologise for this... woman's crassness, but in effect, she's not wrong. Outside of the threat of you killing us, none of our factions see much benefit to working within the bounds of the Empire. Who's to say you wouldn't just appoint another tyrant?"
The film is unremarkable, a pretty standard action flick, though the lead character, the busty xenoarchaeologist, vaguely reminds Xavier of something he can't place. All in all, it's a decent holo to just switch your brain off and enjoy some snacks to. By the end, Ulie's eyes are drooping after her exhausting day, and she begins to lean on Xavier's shoulder in her fatigue.
Eanne watched Amara leave, an amused smirk on her face, before turning back to Sitra and smiling at her. “It's alright, I won't judge her based on a single exchange. Maybe something happened and she needs to unwind a bit before she goes back to normal... or maybe she just needs someone to give her a spanking.” She smirked briefly. And I'd be happy to give her said spanking... “Anyway, let's just give her some time to herself and talk about something else. How about you tell me a bit about yourself?”
