Spoiler: Dodge Roll D100: 50 (Pass) Yannika feels her muscles seizing up and beginning to freeze in place, but manages to get behind the podium. "Oh, come now, don't be like that." He laughs. "The emperor's confessor wanted you dead, so you couldn't get in her way, but what a waste that would be. No, I'd never hurt the emperor's mother." The imperial guardsmen reach the base of the stage. "Get away from the priestess!" The leader shouts, as they raise their rifles. Xenephon doesn't even look at them, only raising his hand. Spoiler: Imperial Guard Attack Roll D100: 57 Spoiler: Xenephon Psionic Roll D100: 27+15 (Order of Sorcerers)=42 Streaks of hot plasma stream forth from the guards' guns, colliding with the hastily erected barrier Xenephon creates. Some breaks the barrier, hitting his shoulder and burning into it. "Alright, you bastards..." He turns, facing the guards, psionic energy visibly rippling through his body, his eyes hateful. "You asked for it."
“Ooooh... yes... that feels great... eat me out more...” Eanne managed to get out between moans of pleasure. “MMMMmmmm!” Finally Eanne came, a rather loud muffled moan escaping her as her body shook in the throes of orgasm, and she squirted all over Amara's face. “Wow... that was... thanks... I... needed that...” Eanne managed to get out as she tried to catch her breath. After recovering a bit of her strength she got off Amara's face and laid on the bed next to her. “That was... incredible. I should get you to eat me out again some time.” She smirked, then gave Amara a quick kiss on the lips. “I think that's enough for tonight. Let me catch my breath and I'll go back to my room so that you can get some proper rest.” After a couple of minutes enough of Eanne's strength had returned. Getting off the bed she put her dress back on and looked at Amara. “Good night, and thanks again.” She gave the officer a final lustful look and headed for the door. But before going out she used her Telepathy to check if there was anyone in the corridor outside, she did not want to accidentally crash into another person, as unlikely as that seemed.
Hersillia WAS quite drunk by that point... and more so by the time Carius' message came, so her response was a bit sloppy even though she was trying to get it back together a little bit for his sake (and he has probably seen a drunken message or two from her before). i liv, mpor. not shot. cumin home. talked good. plan mite work. sleepin son. xplin when back.
Amara licks up Eanne's juices, before grinning. "Looking forward to it." Eanne feels nothing outside in the hall.
Glad to hear it. She can practically feel his amusement through the message. He knows she wouldn't be so casual if something bad had truly happened. I'll see you soon. Hours later, Hersillia is awoken by one of her guards. "Err, ma'am, we've landed at the palace."
Figuratively, a million thoughts raced through Yannika's head. 'Carius' confessor wanted her dead? Why? What did she want? What was her plan? What was she afraid she would get in the way of? Was Carius in danger?' But her heart froze in her chest when he spoke the last. 'How does he know?' Her jaw dropped and her legs went numb. But the plasma shots from the loyal guardsmen shook her from her terror only in time to see Xenephon turn to face them. "Look out!" she shouted.
Without further delay Eanne left Amara's room and headed back to her own, to get at least some rest. She set up an alarm to wake her up in the morning so that she would not oversleep, then lied down and quickly fell asleep, too tired for anything else.
'Greetings,' Xavier nodded to her, 'I require something to eat and drink. Your discretion, I'm not that picky, I'm sure you'll pick something good.' While the maid took care of that, Xavier had a look around the accommodation, especially looking for a bathroom to get rid of the sweat and alien gunk from the day's fighting.
Xenephon sends forth a stream of psionic energy, as the guardsmen let forth a storm of disciplined plasma fire. Spoiler: Imperial Guard Attack Roll D100: 70+15 (Elite Guard)=85 (Pass) Spoiler: Xenephon's Psionic Attack Roll D100: 80+15 (Order of Sorcerers)=95 (Crit) Firing in disciplined ranks, the guardsmen send blast after against Xenephon's barrier, and another blast breaks through and hits the sorcerer. In anger, Xenephon sends forth a storm of power. Lightning sparks from his palms, melting right through the elite armour of the guardsmen, spreading from man to man. The youngest, who looked at Yannika after their orgy with such adoring eyes that she wondered if he was in love with her, is lifted into the air and flayed alive by quickly shifting tides of energy, dying slowly and painfully. In moments, only a handful of guardsmen are still alive. Spoiler: NPC Roll 67 "She's in danger!" Turning Yannika sees the 8 heretic soldiers she 'preached' to returning into the barracks. Heretics or not, they run to her defence, raising their guards. Xenephon turns back and laughs. "You have a talent for making men die for you."
Her heart broke at the sight of the young man as he was torn apart, and she didn't even try to hold back tears. "THIS IS YOUR DOING MONSTER!" she shouted and looked for something, anything that could help.
There are several bathrooms, the largest attached to the master bedroom of the suite. He finds a large tub. The maid returns with a tray of exotic fruit, with some rum to go with it, before moving to fill the bath with steaming water.
Smacking her lips and looking at the guard groggily, she manages to moan out, "Thank you." Sitting up, she rubs her throbbing temples and looks at the multiple drained bottles on the nightstand next to her bed. "Would you be a dear and fetch someone who can get me a quick cup of coffee and some headache medicine?" She smirks, the remaining alcohol in her blood still enough to keep her inhibitions slightly lowered, as she adds, "Unless you'd like to watch me changing to be more presentable..."
'You don't have to run the bath for me,' Xavier chuckled, 'Nobody has done that for me since I was a little boy.' He went to the fruit tray and took a nice looking one, 'Thanks. I appreciate it.' He sat down to eat some fruit and have drink. Sighing deeply after the battle, that investigation was a lot more exhausting and nerve wracking than he had anticipated.
Eanne needed a few moments to remember where she was, before it all came back to her. Right, I'm at Duke Chernobog's place... it would be rather rude of me to leave first thing in the morning, without saying a word to my host or his daughters, so I guess I'll be staying a little longer... I should take a quick bath to wash away the sweat from last nights activities... Does my room include a shower? I did not take a good look because Amara was here... Fully awake now she took a second, and this time a lot more focused and careful, look at the room she had been given.
Xenephon openly laughs at Yannika's sadness, before turning to face the men now running towards the stage. The few guardsmen still alive, surprisingly, don't seem to even consider running. Suicidal bravery is apparently a selection criteria for them. Looking around, Yannika is being ignored by Xenephon, who doesn't consider her a threat. She sees that his barrier only stops projectiles, so she could walk right up behind him, theoretically. She sees Gamba's heavy pistol still in its holster, which she could take. She could also shout encouragement to the men to bolster their fighting spirit, or try to convince them to leave.
"Oh!" He looks around, flustered. "No... I mean, not that I wouldn't want to...Just, it's..." He scratches his head. "I'll get you your coffee and medicine." Moments later, a different soldier arrives with a steaming cup and some pills.
"Sorry, sir. I didn't mean to offend." She bows. "Do you need anything else? You look a little tense, if you don't mind me saying."
With her heart pounding, Yannika rushed towards where Gamba lay; hoping to grab his pistol and shoot Xenephon.
