The story owner has added you as an editor. They also stated that on the introduction chater: That means that you are able to edit chapters. You should also be able to access unpublished chapters of any author of that story. (I'm not sure if they appear on the story map, so you might need a link to the chapter or know the parent chapter.) If you don't want to be an editor for the story, you could ask the story owner to remove you. If they don't want to, I can remove your editor status from the story as well.

Hello, new author here! I just published my first story, Personal Paradise for anyone interested, yet my stories page on my account is still empty. Also while I have been able to publish the first ten chapters, the eleventh does not show a button to publish. I hope this is in the right place. Thank you all for the amazing website and community here!
Welcome to CHYOA! New stories must first be approved by a moderator. You can then publish further chapters without additional approval. Happy writing!
The new stories list is not working correctly. Stories that are older are moving to the top of the list when new chapters are added to them. This is causing it to appear that authors are trying to manipulate the new story list by deleting and reposting things (as people go "hey haven't I seen that already?") but is in fact that same story, posted at the original time (as evidenced by the metadata), but moved back to the front of the listing.
There might be some confusion as the "15 hours ago", "a day ago" isn't the time when the story was posted but the time when the story was updated. Additionally, there is some backlog of stories to review. So it might look like some stories jumped to the top. (I checked a few stories and they were exactly in the order of the story's publishing date.)
Thank you guys for the explanation of what was going on earlier! However, I do believe I have found a different bug. In counting how many stories I have created and published, I count 14 with an additional one that I am working on presently but haven't even saved as a draft. Yet the chapters counter on the right part of the screen in the user tab displays 25. I do know why. Thanks again
The counting of chapters is quite flawed. (This is a known issue.) In this case, CHYOA probably counted the published chapters between publishing the story and its approval twice. (The numbers add up.) Funnily, the numbers in the story stats are correct.
Ignoring a user is no longer preventing notifications from showing up. On several stories I'm following, I ignored a branch author because I don't read/like their branch of the story. This means that I get notifications for new chapters on the story (from multiple other authors that I do want to read content from), but don't get updated when something I'm not interested in gets published. Recently, this has stopped working. The users I had already ignored are still not showing up in my notifications (which is good), but anyone new I ignore is still creating notifications (which is bad). Unless there's a completely different step I'm missing, or have forgotten I did for the original users I blocked from my notification feed...
Hm... I could only imagine that it is related to the story being public (no notification) or moderated (notification). If the story is moderated and the author has a story role, it might lead to no notification as well. If it works that way, you would also receive no notification when the ignored user is the story owner or an editor of a story and approves a chapter of an author who you don't ignore.
My story's "Halloween for life" introduction page is getting error 502 while loading page. Please fix the issue.
Hello, I'm writing the story Rumors are based on truth and recently my chapters are being sent into draft randomly after being published. I keep a tab open on my last chapter to check the notifications from time to time. Does it have anything to do with it?
I have a bit of problem with the website, I'm not sure it is a bug but when I log in to my account and after several minutes I get logged out without my knowledge.
I'd suggest not to use an "Edit chapter" tab for doing that. With the front page or your profile page, it shouldn't happen. If it keeps happening, please let us know. I'd guess that it is an issue with your connection or browser. Have you tried another browser and/or device?
Often when I try to message someone on chyoa using my phone (running Firefox on Android if it helps) it types the text white in the chat box. I can see the cursor move, I can select the text but I can't read what I write. I'm often forced to type my message in the search bar and copy paste it into the chat box afterwards.
