Spoiler: D2 D2: 1 (Odds) As the only player betting odds at the table, Vizelle wins the whole pot. (+150 chips) Spoiler: Awareness Roll D100: 60 (Pass) As she takes her chips, Vizelle gets the distinct feeling that she's being watched, and not because of her body.
(Whoops, that's my bad. I thought he'd introduced himself) "I recognised you from a holonews report." Felicia smiles, offering him a light. "You were rather distinctive, in that fancy uniform."
With a several defectors on her side, Elena decided to prepare a trap for the prince with Admiral Thrax. It was time to take an offensive. The privateers would attack from the back...
"Hehe. It seems lady luck is with me." Vizelle giggled again, discreetly looking for her admirer. "On with the game." She cooed, betting a hundred chips this time. "I'll go with odds again." She said as she lets the players decide their own choices, but knowing the dealers in this sort of establishment can fix the results. She makes him give her a favorable outcome.
“Indeed.” Eanne agreed with the bishop's opinion on taxes. “I see... I am a bit surprised that there would be any artifacts of value on such barren worlds, but if the Church believes that to be the case, I have no reason to doubt that assessment. Can you tell me anything more about them, or would that be too much to ask for? I don't mean to pry into what the Church is doing, I just want to know what to expect if the supposed artifacts are found. Discovery of any artifacts of religious significance could have an impact on the Empire – hopefully a positive one.” (Had some connectivity issues.)
[That was with Zara, the blonde actress from before, I think.] 'This is a different uniform, though,' Xavier chuckled, 'Well, maybe it's my face that's distinctive and my mismatched eyes.' Indeed, one of his eyes, the bionic one, was strikingly blue while his natural eye was hazel. He stroke a match and lighted his cigar, taking a few puffs to ensure a steady ember, he smiled, 'Excellent brandy and an aromatic cigar, what more could you want?'
Yannika returned to the cathedral in order to arrange things for her impending service. Once she was satisfied she sent a message to both the Lieutenant and her Sergeant that they and their men could begin making their way there. However, before anyone arrived, a thought struck her and she went to find Sister Rhaiya. Perhaps the people of this world would be interested in adopting the ways of the Sect of the Sapphire Hearth? Yannika figured it couldn't hurt to find out.
Hersillia looks around, pointedly indicating the guards with her eyes before leaning in to whisper in his ear. "Before that, maybe we can go somewhere to... resume the previous conversation we were having as I was getting ready to leave. In private." She was not sure if it was the booze or the feelings brought on by the near-brush with death... but she was aroused. VERY aroused. And the thought of claiming the virginity she had promised she would only fanned the flames of desire in her higher.
It's several more weeks before an offensive can be put into action, in which time the offensive on Ietra IV occurs. Spoiler: Ground Combat Roll D100: 15 (Fail) In their time in control of the planet, the enemy have been entrenching their positions. When Elena's forces attack, they're face by an onslaught of fire from fortified trenches, and unable to break past their landing zones. Casualties are very high. As the ground war rages, the brainwashing of Elena's 'guests' continues in space. Spoiler: Brainwashing Rolls D100: 60+15 (Disregard for Safety)=75 (Pass), 62 (Pass), 42+15 (Prior Brainwashing success)=57 (Pass) This time, none of the three women can resist their conditioning. The pirate's will is broken through blunt force, reducing her to little more than a willing sex slave, while the dreadnought's second in command enters her first stage of indoctrination. The dreadnought captain, now shown images of the Jade Rose as well as being bombarded with sexual stimuli, develops a deep loyalty for the organisation. A sister messages Elena to inform her that the woman is now devoted, body and soul, to the order, her brainwashing complete. Spoiler: Space Combat Roll D100: 63+15 (Disloyal Captains)+20 ('Entertained' Thrax)=98 (Crit) In space, the traitor captains manage to bait the prince into a foolish head on attack, with predictable results. The majority of the prince's fleet is annihilated when the traitors show their true colours and begin to fire upon the fleet from behind, decimating it. In a panic, the prince's cruiser, which the traitors identified for Elena, turns to flee back to his homeland. Thrax looks at Elena, on the bridge. "Ma'am, from here, we can disable the prince's engines, and board his ship, or just blow the little bastard to hell right now. Which do you prefer?"
At this point, effort is hardly needed for Vizelle to win another game, the dealer subtly smiling at her and looking at her body, as he slips a weighted die into the cup. Spoiler: Awareness Roll D100: 68 (Pass) Looking around, she spots a hulking alien bouncer looking straight at her.
"Well, it's a historical artifact we're looking for, from an old missionary." Lysandra seems reluctant to go into specifics. Eanne will probably have to press her.
Spotting her admirer, Vizelle attempts to worm her way into his mind, mainly to know what his orders were, and maybe switch his loyalties to her. "Fufu. Odds. One hundred chips." She cooed, placing her bet.
"Well, the uniform, the eyes, and I suppose you looked very handsome, too." She chuckles. Smoking the cigar, he finds that it's of the quality he expects. "We aim to please, here."
"Mmmm, so you're planning to let an entire garrison of soldiers have you? And here I thought that I was the naughty one..." Izzy chuckles, within Yannika's mind. Yannika finds Rhaiya in an infirmary, standing in front of Barra, who lies unconscious on a bed. The green haired woman looks up as Yannika enters. "Hey..." She nods. "Before, um, I didn't get a chance to thank you. I don't know what you did, but... thank you."
"Err, uh, yes." He nods vigorously. "Let's go to my chambers, so we can talk in private." Carius has to restrain himself from grabbing her and pulling her upstairs, leading her to the imperial bedchamber. As they enter the elegant room, he looks at her. "So, um..."
Xavier took a puff of his cigar, 'It's quite pleasing, I concur.' While he was relaxing, he had a quick scan around the club for anything of interest.
Spoiler: Telepathy Roll D100: 3+15=18 (Fail) She tries with all her might to break into the alien's mind, but his will is impressive, and she gets nowhere. As the dealer gives her another easy win, the other patrons not minding, due to the telepathy, a different guard flanks her, hulking footsteps audible even over the din of a crowded casino. "Miss," a low voice says, "would you mind coming with us?"
The admiral spots two things of note. Two other naval officers of his rank by the pool table, and the fact that several patrons are going to rooms upstairs...with the maids.
"Lovely." Vizelle cooed as she collects her winning, acting as if her mental probe never happened. But as another guard approaches her, "Oh my. Can I at least bring my chips?" She asked before standing up to follow them.
Yannika tried to ignore the demon's quip about her promiscuity. Such was the nature of her work. But she couldn't help herself. "It is the gods' will! I will not be shamed by one such as you!" "I-" Yannika paused to think about how to answer Rhaiya, "just acted as the gods' instrument, nothing more." she gave a warm smile then. "And you don't have to thank me, we were sisters of the Church before all this started." she said and waved her hand about indicating everything. "We can be again if you'll come back to us. We have had nothing but concern for you and the rest of Lave V since your rejection of us. Our arms are open in acceptance."
