With a stellar reputation, Spirax seemed perfectly positioned to climb up the ranks, but after the Battle of Gertren, where Emperor Agamemnon was killed in action, she disappeared, and was considered KIA until Imperial Intelligence unearthed footage of her taking command over a gathering of pirate crews. Why and how she went pirate is currently unknown. Spoiler: Spirax' forces The pirate fleet is made up of over one hundred ships, diverse in origin, but mostly small frigates and destroyers, no heavy hitters. The pirates themselves are as diverse as their ships - some are deserters from the Terran Navy, some are from other human empires, and some are aliens. The pirates operate in cells, small armadas and flotillas acting independently in various areas of space, only taking orders from Spirax's high command when necessary, and not being given much information about other cells.
"Perhaps a gift to Samodiva, or yourself personally? Perhaps a reduction in your planet's alms payments? A squad of church elites to add to your military?" She smiles.
