Xandra consults her notes for a moment. "I still have to do some digging to see if there's anyone else, but assuming that no one was breaking in, there's only three people with regular access here. Ventris Van Dorn, his brother and business partner. Keera Tyne, his girlfriend, and one of his subordinates, named Alex Kang."

"Why not?" Xi Fei nods. "Want me to bring some of the boys? My brother's not much of a fighter, but he might have traps or bodyguards."

"Unnecesarry. I doubt he'll have guards if he made a quick escape. As for traps, those can easily be spotted, since won't be able to use any advanced ones. Lest he mess up the transmitters signals, which would ruin his hiding place. And besides, we'll come peacefully. Unless he plans on fighting." Vizelle grins, letting Xi Fei pilot the ship toward their destination.

Rising up into and above the atmosphere, the ship quickly reaches the comms buoy, a platform with a small station attached to it for maintenance.
"Unidentified shuttle, what is your business?" A voice comes through the comms.

"This is Vizelle, the Black of his Emperor's council. I am here to ensure this station is secure." She said with a smile, letting Xi Fei know who she is.

“Alright, we're done here so let's head out. When the good admiral sends me his reply we'll go meet him. In the mean time let's have a quick look around this section of the capital.” Eanne decided as she headed out of the cathedral, surrounded by Bec and her guards.

Eanne sent back a confirmation message, then looked at Bec. “The meeting will take place in the council chamber, so we're going back to the Imperial Palace.” She informed her guards and the group headed toward their new destination.

They find the council chamber empty and ready for them. Looking up after an uneventful period of waiting, Xavier sees Lady Eanne enter the room, redheaded bodyguard following behind her.
Eanne sees the young admiral Azurrose waiting for her.

Xandra gives a grunt of affirmation. "You're a councillor, so I'm not sure I could actually stop you. You're free to come and have a look for yourself. The body is gone, taken for the autopsy, but I've made sure that everything else is as it was when we found it." There's a ping on his communicator, as the investigator sends him the location of the crime scene.

"I see. You are cleared to dock." The voice responds, sending over the number of a landing bay. "Know that your identity will be verified upon landing."

“Admiral Azurrose, I presume? I am Lady Eanne Winterwood, of house Winterwood, and this is Bec Hallaran, my head bodyguard.” Eanne introduced herself to the admiral. “How can we be of assistance?” She asked, smiling politely at the young man.

They find the council chamber empty and ready for them. Looking up after an uneventful period of waiting, Xavier sees Lady Eanne enter the room, redheaded bodyguard following behind her.
Eanne sees the young admiral Azurrose waiting for her.
'Thank you for seeing me so quickly, Lady Eanne,' Xavier smiled at her and bowed, 'Xavier von Azurrose, Centauri ambassador and commander of our fleet.'
He gestured for her to sit down and continued, 'I have come across a mission that I thought you should see before anyone tackles it.'
A little screen for the councilors opened up in front of Eanne's seat and displayed:
- The Pirate Queen: In the wake of the old emperor's death, a diverse assortment of pirate groups have unified under the command of a charismatic former officer of the Terran Navy, and are rampaging across imperial space. Among the planets hit is the paradise world of Samodiva, homeworld to Lady Eanne.
'Given that this is your homeworld being attacked, I thought you should see this,' Xavier said, 'And... the Pirate Queen in question is rather interesting.'
It showed some more information:
As a minor noble, she was able to easily get into the navy's officer academy, but unable to stand out without a great deal of effort. She performed decently in her days in the academy, but achieving nothing spectacular, leading her teachers to think she would be a reliable but unexceptional officer.
This was disproved, however, by her performance in the field. By happenstance she's been in over a dozen battles, and has made a name for herself as a daring and skilled leader, commanding the boarding action at the battle of Thyros VI, and single handedly stopping a mutiny on board the Revenant, a ship she was second in command of.
With a stellar reputation, Spirax seemed perfectly positioned to climb up the ranks, but after the Battle of Gertren, where Emperor Agamemnon was killed in action, she disappeared, and was considered KIA until Imperial Intelligence unearthed footage of her taking command over a gathering of pirate crews. Why and how she went pirate is currently unknown.
The pirate fleet is made up of over one hundred ships, diverse in origin, but mostly small frigates and destroyers, no heavy hitters. The pirates themselves are as diverse as their ships - some are deserters from the Terran Navy, some are from other human empires, and some are aliens.
The pirates operate in cells, small armadas and flotillas acting independently in various areas of space, only taking orders from Spirax's high command when necessary, and not being given much information about other cells.

Bec lowers her hand into her palm and groans. "Damn it, woman, you died and you're still giving me shit to deal with?" The redhead sighs. "Yeah, she's my ex-wife. We met in school, the best and second best swordsmen in our class, though which was better tended to alternate. Anyway, one thing led to another, and our rivalry turned to...something else." She shakes her head. "Anything specific you want to know? We divorced before she 'died', and I haven't heard from her in ages. I actually still thought she was dead until I saw her face on a wanted poster not long ago." She grumbles. "Just like her, to not even send a message..."

Elena moaned as the crop landed on her breasts. She heard of the wrath of peasants and servants and the abuse the noblewoman would suffer at their hands, should they had a chance.
