Hello, I also have a story that's been waiting several days for review now. However that isn't my main concern. So my question is when the review is completed will I see a message in my notifications on the site, or will if it's been approved or denied be sent to my email? My concern is that I don't remember what email address I signed up with as I didn't really see myself writing anything when I originally signed up.
In both cases, you will get a notification on the site. You can see (or change) your email address on your Settings page.
I currently have a story I'm writing. Have the introduction ready to publish, however, I only see the "save as draft" and "cancel" buttons.. not a publish. I'm probably blind. I would like to get it reviewed and published please.
You need to publish the story, not the chapter - chapters can only be published if the story they're in is still drafted. This is a very common source of confusion, I'll admit. Either go to My Stories, find your story, click the three dots in the top-right corner and hit 'Edit Story', or you can go to the story map and replace 'map' with 'edit' in the URL. Either method should take you to the story edit page, where you originally set the title, subtitle, synopsis, category, POV and other settings. You can submit the story for review from here. Note that all chapters in a story are released when that story is published, so everything in the story is made public once it's approved, no matter how ready.
Unpublished stories should also show the note on the bottom of each chapter. The link will lead you to the Edit Story page.
New to the site so sorry if this is an old thread but my story has been up for about a day and is still waiting to be reviewed? I've written quite a bit for it and am just excited to see what people think
Most times it takes about one day. Sometimes it takes a little longer. That said, it seems that your story has already been approved.
Hi I was wondering if it's normal for a chapter to get reviewed? I've been writing in here for a little over a year and it's never happened to me before. Its been longer than a day, I was just wondering if this is something I should worry about?
Chapters are reviewed by whoever runs the story you've contributed to. How long it takes depends on the individual. You could try messaging the story owner if you're unsure - they are probably the author of the Introduction chapter or the person listed in "Created on [date] by [someone]".
If a story owner wasn't online for a long time, there might be an editor. Currently, they can't be seen but moderators can look them up. So you might want to ask.
How long does it normally take for a story to get approved? Just published my first one and was just wondering. I'm in no hurry for it to get fully accepted, just want to know what the time table might be like
One day or two. Admins aren't 24/7 on website so it will will tak some time, but they show up really often
