"Tsk." Vizelle scowled as she saw her dead men, but soon enough regains her composure. "Fuuu... really now. Who'd try and attack at a time like this?" She said to herself, taking a deep breath as she gives it her all to hide her psionic presense. The sorceress then starts to make her way up, slowly to make sure she isn't spotted.
Eanne considered her options for a few moments, before getting an idea. “For now let's pretend this is just a job interview and she's not suspected of anything. Question her, see what excuse she offers for needing a new job. If there's nothing obviously wrong or suspicious tell her that there's a couple looking for a cute busty maid to play with, and that satisfying the couple will be her final test before she gets the job. Then send her to one of the empty rooms to wait for the clients. As she will soon find out the couple will be me and Bec,” she pointed at the redhead, “though you re welcome to join us, if you want. And if there is something obviously wrong or suspicious about her... have her restrained by your security and I will join you in questioning her. Either way I would like to watch the interview in a nearby room, if possible.”
Elena frowned - that was unchareristic of the spy. The priestess paranoia told her that the woman was part of the plot - but she quickly disregarded that idea - she had no proof. "Do we know who is behind the attack?" She asked.
Heading upstairs, past the sound muffling spell, she sees that the club is operating as normal, and she can spot a few criminals at their posts like nothing happened. Apparently the assassin didn't do anything until she got downstairs.
"Oh?" Vizelle was surprised to see everything was quite normal. She immediately uses her psionics to look for Arnolf, Get down here, and bring some men. She sent him a telepathic message, before turning around, attempting to undo the sound-proofing spell. Then she heads back down to wait for the slaver and his men.
Dubernay nods, before directing her and Bec to a nearby room, where a servant gives them a terminal where they can watch the live footage. Watching the 'audition', she notes that Julqe is still in her maid outfit, the same one she wore in Eanne's service. The young woman seems...strange. Robotic, even. Each response she gives is just a bit too quick and curt to sound natural, and though her words are all correct, something about the way she says them puts Eanne ill at ease. Spoiler: Awareness Roll D100: 99 The woman begins to move forward, off the bed upon which she sits. Eanne realises that she's about to attack Dubernay.
The gangster and his thugs are tromping downstairs, guns at the ready, only a few moments later. "What? What's the problem?" He grunts.
"No." She shakes her head. "My information is all second hand, and doesn't go further than that the emperor and the council were in danger. I guess I was a target too, though no one told me that."
"Notice anything?" Vizelle asked, sighing, before pointing to the blood splatter where the guards were disposed of. "Hah. Really now, clean this up." She said in a stern tone, "I have to question my little guest, make sure there's nothing else amiss." She added, before entering the cell she used to secure the assassin. However, instead of waking her up, Vizelle takes her time to make sure her would be killer's body had become hypersensitive, to the point that a gentle breeze would be able to make her cum.
Dammit! Eanne cursed as she realized what was going on, then attempted to warn Dubernay with a quick telepathic message. Get away! It's a trap! She then turned to the servant that had delivered the terminal. “The madam is about to get attacked! Restrain the maid!” She ordered, her tone leaving no room for argument.
Spoiler: Julqe's Attack Roll D100: 52 Spoiler: Dubernay's Defence Roll 64 Julqe springs forward, but Dubernay is able to catch her wrists. The two women grapple, as the guards enter the room, raising their weapons.
Elena sighed. "We need to meet. This is not a talk on the holo call." She said shortly. Then she paused. "After, we secure the Emepror. Can you find him?" She asked.
Spoiler: Telepathy Roll D100: 44+20=64 Reaching into the woman's mind, Vizelle catches some details of her memories. As expected, she's an assassin, specifically a freelancer for hire. Trying to see any current memories though is fruitless, for the past few days, there's only an empty void where her memories should be. It's strange, Vizelle notes. It's not like the memories are secured by telepathic defences, they just don't seem to be there.
As she watched the two women struggle Eanne attempted to reach Julqe's mind with her telepathy and distract the maid at least a little bit, hopefully giving the madam and the guards a bit of an edge.
"You can come to my parlor, or I can come to you." She nods. "As for the emperor, I have my people out on the street looking for clues. There's just been a rumor about where he might be, but like you said, this isn't for a holo call. If the rumour is true, and someone's listening in..."
Elena frowned. "I will meet you in your place, as soon as I can." With that, she finished the Holo-call. She went back to Empress-dowager. "Your highness - I have convinced the officers. I shall now join the search." Elena said to the woman.
"Ho? A freelance. Good. That should make turning her into my asset a lot easier. But." Vizelle hummed, thinking about the missing memories. Was it removed, or was it merelt stored else where? She thought to herself, "Tsk. Well, one problem at a time." The sorceress clicks her tongue, moving to secure the assassin's limbs, for now a simple bondage with her hands, and legs tied to the bed frame. Once Vizelle was sure she was secured, she waked the assassin up. "Tell me your name." She asked in a stern tone.
Spoiler: Telepathy Roll D100: 73 (Pass) Reaching out, Eanne manages to enter Julqe's mind, using a rush of useless thoughts to make her pause for a moment. Closing in, a guard uses the opportunity to jab a stun prod into her mid riff, and she jumps, before collapsing onto the bed, unconscious.
