"I believe closer to three. Either way, plenty of time to feel that calming buzz in your core." To give herself something to do, and to avoid having to stare too much at Jei's hindquarters, Tylani searched for some comfortable seating within the apartment. She would rather not stand and drink, and it was assumed that Jei did have some comfortable chairs to be used when she wanted her guests to feel welcomed. Once all the tasks were finished and their glasses had been filled, Tylani attempted a simple toast before downing the alcohol in one gulp. "The loan bill failed today, because despite it all, half the League voted against it. The foundations of the party are our ties to the Asari citizens of this world, and by extension the Asari Republics. While that in and of itself would be bad enough, I have already heard murmurings as I departed from the Senate that certain senators would be interested in certain personal concessions in exchange for their votes. It is the reason why I am here. I believed that by gaining some measure of power over the party we could gain more beneficial arrangements, operating as a collective." Without saying another word, Tylani poured herself another glass. Typical, really. You can take the Asari out of the military, but you can't take the military out of the Asari, even all these years later...
"Yes, I am." He nods, embracing their anger. "I never claimed I wasn't! But I'm a human, like you, and like you, I love Sanctum Mesa." He pulls open his jacket and shirt, showing the huge scar on his muscular chest from an enemy bayonet during his brief time in the military. "If you want me to change my beliefs, then tell me your grievances! If you can't do that, then put your blade here." He points to his heart. "I'll be happy to have died for Sanctum Mesa." He holds out his arms, making no effort to resist if they attack. Hopefully, if they're not swayed by rhetoric, no one will be wanting to be the one to kill an unarmed, unresisting military veteran. After all, the news will be recording this by now.
Blake steps down from the limo "Charlotte good day to you is good to see you , how have you being doing lately "Says Blake in a very friendy tone
The two sat on the chairs and drank. Jei listened to Tylani's explanation, rarely giving her own input. When Tylani finished speaking, they stayed in silence, for a while. She sighed as she looked at her glass. "I guess we will not be thinking straight to organise the gathering today..." She said with a sight. "Shall we give a joined statement about moving the gathering for tomorrow morning?" She suggested as she purred more alcohol into Tylani's glass.
Spoiler: Oratory 32 +20 (master orator) - success It seemed that his words and actions had some traction because most of the people stopped, whispering among themselves. But there was also a large group - about forty people, making their way to him, unswayed. They carried makeshift weapons, were young and eager... punks. Those would attack him without hesitation. The closest one approached Jacob, with hate in the eyes, a blade in his right hand.
Blake smiled, as he greeted the director. Spoiler: Charm 65 + 20 (master charmer) - success "Hm~" The woman smiled lightly. "Charmer, as always," Charlotte said as she greeted him back. She waved to the factory, and the duo started making their way there, Symania following them. "So, what doe bring you here at this hour? I would think you would be rubbing shoulders with some politicians and drinking champagne~" She said with humour.
For a few more moments Tylani remained silent, simply taking occasional sips out of her glass. Then, just as a few droplets of wine remained left within it's confines, she exhaled deeply and nodded along. "Yes, probably a good idea. By now, I'm not sure I can stop myself from emptying this bottle of yours." There was a small hint of mirth there, hidden beneath the quiet awkwardness. As she was talking, Tylani ran her idle hand along her waist and sides for a brief moment, before retreating shortly afterwards without any results. She could not help but chastise herself. 'Pretty hard to forget this dress doesn't have pockets and you do it anyway. What's wrong with you today, Tylani?' Spoiler: Dress reference picture
"You going to be the one to stab the unarmed man, friend?" He looks at the punk. "I'm sure your friends will all think you're so brave." He mocks the guy, baiting him to come in hot and stupid so that Cloe can easily take him down.
Jie nodded and approached the terminal, entering a few commands. Tylani's personal communicator pinged - as she checked the message, it was the change of the hour of meeting with Jie's signature. "Add your signature, and send it to the rest of the party." Jie said as she walked to Tylani and refiled her glass. Spoiler: Awerness 27 + 10(expert) -10 (light intoxication) - success As Tylani took another sip from her glass, she noticed that Jie was not drinking much. She did drink, but did not drink much.
Before the man could do anything he was struck by a teaser - he shook for a moment, before falling on the ground uncouncious. The group paused for a moment... then started running, intend to attack Jacob, quickly advancing, closing in the gap. Spoiler: Crowd reaction 82 +10 (effect of Jacob's speech) - failure The rest of procession, hesitated for a moment, but then the crowd's mentality took over, and the rest of the crowd followed the the advanced group, also intending on violence...
Blake smiles before answering "Well maybe i came here for your pleasant company Charlotte" Says Blake with a smile on his face before speaking again "Well i had some free time and i was close by so i decide why not pay you a visit and check how the old business is doing "
The director nodded. "I see. Let us then move then to the office." Charlote said as she lead the two through the factory, to the elevator. As they entered and stood in front of a window, as the elevator slowly traveled up. As they stood in silence, Blake noticed an elevator of one of living buildings traveling up.
Blake lets out a small chuckle "Well i did not expect to see that when i entered the elevator "Says Blake smiling
"Alright, then, plan B." Jake charges forward to meet the oncoming crowd, ducking low as he encounters the first man, wrapping his arms around the guy's waist, and then tossing him forward into the other rioters. "You wanna kill me? Gotta catch me, first!" He uses the momentary holdup to sprint away into the nearby series of alleys, intentionally leading them away from the other group of protesters.
Charlotte looked at him, then followed his gaze - but theelevator was already gone, out of sight. "What do you mean?" She asked, as the doors of the elevator opened - the reached the top floor.
Spoiler: speed 9 - greater success 97 - greater failure As he starts running, he hears a curse from Chloe, as stated running after him. Jake quickly runs into one of the alleyways, leaving enough space for the riotters to follow him - it works perfectly. The angry riotters follow him as he manoeuvres through the alleys. As he runs, suddenly Jacob realises that he's missing something - Chloe was not behind him! There were riotters behind him - well, the few who could enter the narrow alley, but not Chloe! He could hear sounds of crashing behind him, from the main street...
"Son of a...!" Jacob curses. "Why the hell didn't she just follow my orders!" He rushes back to get Cloe. Unlike before, where he held back, in the defence of his pilot he's willing to use full force and violence.
Jacob runs into side alley, coming about three riotters. Spoiler: Combat 14 + 20 (mastery) Still running, he punches the face of the first, before he even knew what was going on. The two others looked surprised at Jacob, but they two, were too slow to react, as he run past them, knocking the two out. First landed unconscious on the ground as elbow hit his head. Second yelped as his legs were cut from inter him, and he hit the ground hard. Spoiler: awareness 67 - failure As Jacob run back into main street, he noticed that the demonstration changed into riots, as people started devastating the shops and vechiles standing near the street. He could not see Chloe. A he turned right, he noticed a large crowd moving in the direction of the other - peaceful procession, screaming loudly chanting, waving their weapons. As he looked left, he noticed a crowd gathered around a single spot, screaming, raising sticks...
Jacob uses the chaos to act like a rioter, hiding in plain sight, as he presses into the crowd towards the centre.
Spoiler: awareness 53 - fail Jacob walked between the two groups, but still could not find Chloe. The main body of rioters was even farther away now, then before. Suddenly one of the rioters run into him - thankfully they did not fall over. The man glance at him irritated- Spoiler: noticed 19 - 20 (chaos) - success but then quickly ignored Jacob, and started running to the next car, and started hitting it's glasses. At least Jacob's blending in worked...
