"Ugh." Luo Fei groans as her cheek was stepped on, then as she heard of Su Cheng's plan. She had to fight the urge to grin, figuring that an entire village's worth of Qi would allow her to easily overpower the Bloody Fang inner disciple. But for now, she had to act as if she was in danger. "N-no! Anything but that!" She pleaded. Just as she heard the innkeeper. Oh? So there was a spy. Well, no matter. Once I defeat Su Cheng, I can go retrieve the reward she received. Luo Fei thought to herself, as she attempts to crawl away.
"Hmph..." The cultivator nods, taking a long sip of his wine. "How awful of her. Yeah, that sounds like the kind of job I can do. How many of these goons does she have?"
The maid hesitated. "The blood... is hard to wash of. They are still cleaned." She answered. It took some time, but finally the two arrived at the bower, where the Lord was sitting and drinking tea.
Spoiler: Hunt 60 - success His trip outside was successful. Cao managed to catch a Hare. He returned and finished preparing the food. Soon, the Hare's meat was cocking over the fire, while Cao was finishing preparing it's skin. He still was not sure what to do with it... sell it? Leave it? Or maybe make something with it - but for that, he would need tools. "Hm~" He turned his head, to see Ye Chao slowly waking up.
"Ah... if you give me a few moments, I can easily find who gave the job, Elder Sister!" Xing Jin said excitedly.
The man nodded. "Fu Hui." He turned to rabbitkin who glared at her. "Take the guest to medic's room and look over her." The woman gave a grunt of an answer and waved her hand at Yu Yujin to follow. It seemed that she earned woman's dislike... but curiously, the leader of bandits did not seemed to be bothered all that much... maybe he had thick skin...
Mulan bow to lord in mark of respect. "Good morning my Lord. I hope I'm not interupted." She said standing, and waiting for invitation to join his table, or he going to let her stand. "I want to ask you my lord, if there is any task or quest in your lands what require skills of cultivator. My skills." She asked polite.
“I’ll leave it to you then. But don’t go off trying to fight it, without me. Even if you had magic like mine to expel spirits, it would be a serious risk to run off alone. Find out everything you can, but we should only move to the site as a group.” She gave her instruction, before resolving that he could take care of it, so all she had to do is wait. It seemed like he really wanted to prove to be useful, so she figured she should just let him do this.
"Oh? You are still conscious?" The woman wondered. She walked up to her and kicked her, so she landed face-first on the ground. She then quickly bound her forearms together, moving the rope around her chest, coiling it above and below her breasts, then around her neck, before connecting it to her forearms. Making it very difficult to free herself. She then grabbed the woman by hair and dragged her to abandoned shed. "Here." She said as she threw Luo Fei to the ground. "Enjoy your moment of rest - I need to prepare your punishment." She said as she locked the door behind... well, there was no lock - she just closed it, but Luo Fei was not in state to move, anyway.
The woman shrugged. "I don't know... but they should be not a problem to such a person as you, no?" She said with a small smile. Was she teasing him or challenging what her said? "You will find her building down the street. It's called Hu'rer Pagoda and the Madam is Yin My." She paused. "That much of information, should be enough for you, no?"
"Nnnh!" Luo fei groans as she's bound, and dragged to an abandoned shed. "Damn it all." She cursed once Su Cheng left. "Haa, I guess I'll have to go through with this." She sighed, looking around for anything to cut the rope with. Maybe a nail, or sharp piece of wood?
The man smiled at her sight. "Madam Mulan! Come, seat with me." He waved his hand, as one of the maids filled a cup with tea that was in front of Mulan. "Tasks..." He hesitated, "There is one task that I would be grateful if you solved... but it's dangerous... and requires certain discretion..."
"Yes, Elder sister!" He said encouraged by the trust he was given, and he quickly made his way out. As he left, Li Zexi turned to her. "What are you thinking about, Elder sister? Once we finish this quest, what shall we do?" She asked.
Spoiler: Awareness 45 - fail + ? - success As she looked around, she found a shovel, laying in the hay. It was not exactly sharp, but it might just do...
The woman smiled. "I will not be leaving my place... and even if you succeed, according to our deal, you will still be paying." She gave a soft chuckle.
Mulan accepted tea from the maid and take small gulp. It tasted like bitterness but with little aromat of sweet fruit. Mulan never drink anything like that before. " I already offered my service to you my lord, so I can hear you problem. I promise to you, ewen if I don't accept, no words will leave this chamber." She said with confidence in voice. It was taught to her, that keeping promises is important.
Finding the shovel, she figured it would help. So she attempts to crawl toward it, while making sure no one was approaching yet. Luo Fei tries to loosen her bindings, but not remove them for now as she didn't want to alert Su Cheng.
Sighing, she glanced at Li, while they waited. “That’s a tough question. Reuniting with survivors is an idea, but they’d need to come around to our way of thinking…it might be a problem without a stronger position established. I suppose after, we will need to teach the lesson to the peasants and have them come to our way of thinking. We simply need to teach them freedom is worth fighting for. There must be at least a few people somewhere in the village who would agree.”
Spoiler: Oratory 18 - fail The man sighted... then he slowly nodded. "Very well, mistress Mulan. I shall trust you." He said uncertainly. "The truth is that a section of the mansion is closed of. There is a... monster in there. A demon, evil spirit... it's hard to tell. It hunts anyone who goes there... I need that ghost to be dealt with."
