Implemented Edit "reader variables" should be "variables"

In the variable management menu, in order to edit game variables, you have to click "edit reader variables", but reader variables make me think of the reader customization variables, which are a different type. The first time I saw this, I looked around for "edit game variables" for a few...

    Post bug reports here!

Actions with multiplication seem to raise the "This chapter does not offer that story action." error when the action buttons are activated.

What does this game mode error mean? (Resolved)

"This chapter does not offer that story action" I set up an action, but when I try to press it, that error pops up whenever the action involves a multiplication.

Feature Request: Arithmetic Operations with Variables

Good idea, if the variable limit is increased (at least for time) and Unix or something similar is used under the hood (so that time essentially passes even without the user), then that could also work well. Although I guess it would also be useful to know how much time has passed *with* the...

Feature Request: Arithmetic Operations with Variables

The mad lad has done it again, absolutely fabulous! Yes: Brief example: A 2d roguelike with tile data stored in an object made up of arrays for each y slice. Generating the dungeon could involve looping over each tile in the object and performing some tile generating function on it. Ranged...

Feature Request: Arithmetic Operations with Variables

Not necessarily, I meant to include both story level and broader level in how I was defining "definable functions" (as in either one would be good).

Feature Request: Arithmetic Operations with Variables

I would've wrote essentially the same (including the praise). The action buttons are so nice! No need to wait for a page load to change the variables. Loops, arrays and objects would also be amazing, but it's very understandable if any or all of that is asking for too much. Definable functions...

Feature Request: Arithmetic Operations with Variables

Hmm I wonder how far Friedman (I assume it's Friedman?) is aiming to take this new game mode. Depending on how much he's planning to add, it might be most efficient (albeit still a ton of work) to lean in on the user-generated aspect of the site, implement some fundamentals (loops, functions...

Feature Request: Arithmetic Operations with Variables

I was about to write the same thing. There are so many things I've wanted to do but couldn't (realistically), due to not being able to directly set variables based on other variables. This is the feature I most want to see right now, by far.

I love the new game mode update

    Good point

I love the new game mode update

Ah good point, I forgot about this. Though before this conversation, I was thinking you could use a second variable to represent the difference between a variable and its limit. So you could have game:remaining_weight that's always changed alongside game_weight and game:max_weight, at least...

I love the new game mode update

Sorry, I should have clarified that "Weight_cap" was meant to be adjustable, based on eg. if you have a backpack, how many stat points you have in strength, etc. I was under the impression that you would have to do something like "if Weight_limit - Weight - 100000 = 0", to check if you're...
