    A Fighting Game

While I myself am not the one up to the task, I do admire anyone who pushes the game functionality to the limits on this website!

    Writer's barely diguised ______

I don’t like “the writer’s barely disguised fetish” because every character you write is a bit of you, right? So every character will inherently be akin to you, to some extent. Someone mentioned music, and let me put it like this: your character likely won’t be a fan of music you’ve never heard...

    Conflict is fun!

I definitely agree, for the most part. I *do* think you need the happy moments as a sort of juxtaposition to the drama; if it’s bad thing after bad thing after bad thing, it’s whatever… but throw a moment of joy in there? The glee being torn to shreds when the next bad thing happens greatly...

Just for fun, tell us why you chose your avatar.

Honestly just made some bullshit on paint because I wanted to have SOMETHING as a profile pic. Ended up using it to be the base for my character’s costume in my story, so it worked out. In hindsight I would have chosen less “loud” colors tho!

Should there be a separate category for committed authors?

I always wondered how story of the week was chosen! Hearing that that’s the way is… annoying, imo. I had thought maybe it was just “admin thinks this story is good/ deserves attention!”, so this is an upsetting reality! admittedly, it would be a hassle to cherry-pick a story every week when so...

Should there be a separate category for committed authors?

While I do think you could add maybe a tag or searchable term for longer stories, I don’t think it should be seen as separate from the rest. I don’t think “longer” means “better” or “above”; I mean, you could write a long chapter that’s bad, or a short chapter that’s good. Not speaking on the...

    Your favourite finished stories?

Imagination is fun and all, but I’d rather have a full story lol…. Literally last night I read for an hour or two of an amazing story, and then caught up to realize it hadn’t been updated in *three years*!!! Thats why I love the “adopt a story” program. Such a great concept to save stories...

    Post bug reports here!

Hey! I attempted to search a story by name in the chyoa search bar the other day, but it wouldn’t come up. The only way I could find the story I was attempting to find was to search it on Google. I think the issue may be the original writer’s account was gone? There was no author listed, so I...

    Marcie and Gina read CHYOA

I tried to be a bit of a bully with Ava… maybe I should have *really* let her fury out lol

    Marcie and Gina read CHYOA

Goodness, it was over twice as long as my usual chapters lol. I think I may have went overkill with the reasoning to make it plausible in-universe…

    Marcie and Gina read CHYOA

I ended up writing a reply chapter. I’ve never done a chapter on someone else’s story before. Do I just upload it and it send it to you for evaluation or something?

    Marcie and Gina read CHYOA

Thank you for taking the time to read my story! I had a lot of fun reading the review! Amazing choices for music, genuinely laughed at the DK pick. Also enjoyed the critiques! I’ll go a little more in-depth on the actual chapter replies section. Once more, thanks!

I am NOT a Hero! by MichaelChaseLit

Thank you :) Hit chapter 50 recently now! I’ve also added a few tags, though only for things that have happened so far instead of future things. I deeply agree with Chyna’s ‘vibes’! I can’t say I’ve ventured to other sites hardly at all since finding it lol

    DOOMED

I don’t think there is anything wrong with a side project! IMO it could allow you to write your main story even better, since you aren’t bogged down by other ideas scratching at your brain. If you’re worried about prioritizing one over the other, just view the simpler one as ‘warm-up’ before you...
