What doest that even mean?

No, not required, as far as I know. The original picture would probably need to be trimmed and cropped at least.

Well, since you seem to be already steadily going through the list, you may want to check something of Asimov, if you haven't already. I'd suggest the Foundation cycle, forget that Amazon's bullcrap if you happened to watch it, and The Gods themselves, to get started.

Great thread by the way.

Well, I'm not entirely familiar with Pratchett's work. I tried to get into it, but alas, for now, it didn't go well. He wrote quite a lot though, as far as I know. Lovecraft, if you stick to narrative, wrote quite less. He mostly wrote short stories and just a few novellas. As far as I know, I...

Or just a full-fledged robot replica of a dog, like those of Westworld. It behaves like a dog, although it is potentially more intelligent than a human.

Honestly, it was surprisingly good. Herbert style is very peculiar, I grew fond of it as I read. I knew vaguely the story since I had watched a couple of times the David Linch adaptation, but the book is so much more. It's a book of the mind though, full of details, thoughts, and events but...

I was just chiming in, I'm naturally drawn by discussions about rules. You may want to wait for Gene.sis to pop by, just to be sure. Then again, with all that is going on with Chyoa funding, these rules may as well change in the near future.

Not meaning to sound rude, but every now and then these kinds of threads pop up and suddenly it seems the rule needs constantly to be reworked or reinterpreted. This specifically, has been already covered, I'm pretty sure of it. A talking, intelligent, over-eighteen, dog-looking as much as you...

Dune, great book, in every sense. Brave New World.

I fail to see the point here. I think it was generally agreed that an intelligent, talking, over-eighteen (robotic or not) dog-looking creature is not a dog. Stemming from there, every spawn of imagination, furry, scaly, slimy, tailed or not, it's game, as long as it passes the Harkness test...

That's disheartening. As I said, I don't know anything about this stuff. I'll take your word for it. Naively, I thought you could have a Paypal (or similar) account and accept money in form of donations without having to explain why to anyone. Silly me. That would have still left...

What's a quick story? What's the word count limit? I have no idea. Let's assume those prompts are quick stories. You should try to treat this quick story like a sketch of something bigger. You know the drill: start with a concept and stereotypical characters, expand the concept to a scene and...

Thanks for your reply. Makes sense. Beggars can't be choosers, though. I figured as much. Yeah, well, if the answer is simply they slipped through the holes in the net of censorship by chance, that can't be a satisfying answer for anyone, Chyoa in primis.

Hi, I was reading the whole thread about the future of Chyoa and some questions came to my mind. Since I didn't want to go off-topic and draw attention, I'm posting here. (Disclaimer: as it may be evident, I'm really ignorant when it comes to patreon and other payment platforms.) What I...
