Spoiler: Persuasion Roll D100: 49+10 (For the Faith)+15 (Diplomacy)= 74 (Pass) There's some murmuring as the men talk amongst themselves, before one shouts "I'm with you!" A few more voices join his, though most stay quiet. Looking at the room, Yannika judges that she has a handful of troops who will back her 100%, a majority who were swayed by her speech but not entirely convinced, and a handful who remain unconvinced, but are keeping quiet so as not to attract attention to themselves.
Spoiler: Psionic Roll D100: 4+15 (Order of Sorcerers)=19 (Fail) Reaching out with her powers, Vizelle feels herself making contact with the sphere's energy, and suddenly feels a rush of pleasure. She's not sure why, but she's convinced that the paperweight is an object of pure delight, and feels a strong urge to take it for herself.
Yannika let a genuine smile cross her face, pleased that so many had embraced her argument. Though she remained concerned about the few who were unconvinced. "Thank you. Thank you all!" she said. "Please ready yourselves to save this world. We must all prepare." She then turned to Commander Gamba and discretely indicated the few individuals whom she suspected were not convinced by her speech. "Commander, would you be so kind as to arrange a private audience with those men? I feel they may need more convincing before we embark on our mission."
"Nnh?" Vizelle shuddered, suddenly feeling herself grow warm. D-damn it, I was caught off guard. She panicked, feeling the heat, and the strange urge to retrieve the paperweight for herself. The sorceress goes to pick it up, examining it much more closely, and once again prying into its psjonic energies... albeit much more open to the pleasure this time.
Gamba nods, leading Yannika into a private officer's lounge, and informing her that the men will soon be there. As she waits, the head of her guards approaches. "Ma'am, is it safe to be alone with those men?"
Eanne shook her head. “Thank you for the offer, but I'll pass. I don't like drinking right before dinner.” She took a quick look around the room, her eyes stopping on a small table. “Why don't we sit down?”
Spoiler: Psionic Roll 58+15 (Order of Sorcerers)-15 (Failed last Roll)= 58 (Pass) Picking the object up and reaching forwards psionically, Vizelle feels the object's nature, realising that it has a way of compelling and controlling a person over time. Despite her success in learning something about the object's nature, Vizelle still feels it doing its work, her pleasure, and her urge to make the sphere hers intensifying. She sees brief flashes in her mind of herself in a tunnel made of a pink, fleshy substance, the walls closing in, as if reaching for her. She sees herself kneeling at the foot of a throne, looking up at a huge figure she can't quite make out, and hears the word serve reverberating through her brain.
Eanne looked at Amara for a few moments before speaking. “Nothing in particular, I'm just trying to figure out what kind of person you are. You seem... rather stiff, like you're constantly on edge, never relaxing. Are you always like this, or is it because you're not used to dealing with guests like me?” She inquired. “I am no expert, but you seem like you're competent and actually earned your position instead of using your family's connections, like so many nobles would do. It's always nice to meet someone with actual skill, who does not rely on family name. But do correct me if I am wrong.” (This post was rather hard to write for some reason.)
Vizelle lets out a deep sigh as she manages to peer into the paperweight's true purpose. But, with the pleasure still assaulting her, she couldn't help but blush ever so slightly, her breath becoming a bit heavier. Thankfully, despite her thin undergarments, her dress managed to hide her now erect nipples. She gulps, "Haah. This... thing. I will be examing it closely. It seems to have been imbued with psionic energies. One that was targetted to the recently departed officer." Vizelle explained, "Is there a private room here? I'd like begin investigating immediately."
She shrugs. "I won't lie, my father's name hasn't exactly hurt my career, but I'm damn good at what I do, as are my crew." She gives an intense look, before her expression softens. "As for the 'stiffness', I suppose I'm just overprotective of my family, especially Sitra." She gives a wry smirk. "Plus, I'm a little disappointed that you're not for hire."
@unisol_gr44 Spoiler: Awareness Roll D100: 31+15 (Bionic Eye)= 46 (Fail) Xavier hears what Vizelle is saying, but doesn't really notice anything amiss about her, given how carefully he's been examining the scene. The officer nods to Vizelle. "Yes, ma'am. There's a master and guest bedroom that are unoccupied. We secured them to make sure they were empty, but no one's in either right now." Stepping out, he points out the two doors. The intensity of the sphere's effects has declined, but the images and feelings it evokes are constantly at the back of her mind as she continues to hold it.
"Very well, I will take the guest bedroom. There might be something hidden in the master bedroom, good luck with your investigation, Admiral." Vizelle said as she heads to the room, once there she looks at the nearest guard. "No one is to disturb me until I am done." She said as she entered, locking the door behind her, and casting her sound-proofing spell. Vizelle let out a sigh, shuddering from the effects as she places the paperweight onto a table. "Now... let's see what else you're hiding." She cooed, peering into the orb's psionics to find its source, or a trace of whoever enchanted it.
Eanne nodded and smiled. “I can certainly understand being protective of one's family. Sitra seems like a nice girl and a good person, I just hope you're not being too protective of her.” Her smile turned into a smirk. “Sorry to disappoint you, but I really am not for hire. Not going to lie, though, you look hot and I would not mind... enjoying your company, so to say...”
Xavier approached the painting, not giving much mind to where Vizelle was going with the bauble. He removed it from the wall and had a look at the camera behind it.
Heading through the door, Vizelle sees a decently sized but impersonally decorated bedroom, suggesting limited use. The officer nods in assent, before the door closes. Instantly, Vizelle feels the pleasure coursing within her increase, as though the object is emboldened now that it has her alone. Spoiler: Psionic Roll D100: 53+15 (Order of Sorcerers)-15 (Prior Failed Roll)= 53 (Pass) Looking further at the object, sending her energy forth to make contact with its own, Vizelle feels herself repeatedly drawing close to finding out more about it, but like a memory on the very edge of her mind, every time she thinks she's about to make a discovery, it flees from her, and in its wake she sees images of herself, as a powerful psionic goddess, as a slave, worshipping a master sat on a throne, as a brood mare trapped against a wall made of flesh, strange appendages reaching up to touch her body and flood her mind with pleasure. As she probes the sphere's power, Vizelle feels her knees beginning to go weak, and her panties growing damp, all the while her desire to keep the strange paperweight only increases. Still, eventually, she has some level of success, narrowing down and identifying the psionic signature of the sphere's creator, enough that she could recognise them if she encountered them or their works in person. Curiously, she notes, the signature is different from the one she found in the office, suggesting that the sphere's creator and the killer are different people.
"Is that so?" Amara grins. "And what exactly would you do with my company?" Amara reaches out to touch Eanne's thigh.
As the tech expert enters the room, Xavier crosses over to the painting and easily removes the camera from where it had been placed. Spoiler: Awareness Roll D100: 68+15 (Bionic Eye)= 83 Looking at the device, he sees that it's a small, wireless unit. A green light on the back quickly switches to red, and then dies, indicating that the connection has dropped out as Xavier picked it up. Zooming in, he sees a small logo on the back marked Sidonis Industries.
Xavier brought the camera to the tech expert, showing it to him, 'Someone watched the room with this hidden camera.' The admiral then went to the tracks leading from the window and inspected them more closely, eventually coming to the corpse and having a look at it as well.
Eanne did not object to Amara's touch. “Hmm, I don't know... maybe give you a nice, relaxing massage while you tell me about your exploits? I'm sure you could use some rest and relaxation after a hard day at work – you must be really tense...” She mused as her eyes roamed all over Amara's body, focusing briefly on her impressive bust before going back to her face.
