I'd turn that question around: are you working on a project to receive feedback, or because you want to see it finished?
Partially both to be honest. When I start a project, I want to flesh out the world around me, but due to problem with my thinking nogging, I'm demotivated easily and feedback usually helps. It's a cycle caused by a lack of self-validation I guess.
I think I had to post around forty chapters of Hard Candy before I finally got a comment and it wasn't even a positive one lol Zeebop has the right of it here. Write for yourself first and foremost. It can help to write a lot in advance before starting publishing. That way the lack of feedback won't affect your morale
