My advice: Make up a fictional country and sect and use that. That way you can do what you like and maintain credibility without necessarily having a literal Grand Mufti on stand-by to make sure your version of Islam is kosher.

There are two main audiences for an erotic story about Arabic Muslims. Muslims who would likely prefer to not have unintentional inaccuracies about their culture (even if the story is a silly porny take on Islam and thus needs to have *intentional* inaccuracies) or people who are into "race-play" and such who probably have a bigoted and misguided view of Arabs and Islam and won't notice any mistakes.

That's a pretty unfair conflation of "people who are into raceplay" with "bigots".

Fair enough, not all of them are like that.

I generally agree with TheLowKing's point, but trying to make halal porn seems like a hilarious goal.
