There was a man who loved his wife and kids. Then they all died in a horrible accident and he didn't. Then he found another woman to love but he got really sick.
She cared for him and he got better but the woman he loved didn't let him know that he had made her sick, and she used up all her energy caring for him. She died after he started getting better. He tried to commit suicide by jumping off a bridge but ended up paralyzing himself.
He became a ward of the state, unable to move his limbs except for the fingers of one hand. He got a dog for companionship. He loved the dog. It was the only thing left that he loved.
It seems i can't get myself get across right, i apologize. I need to write a story about a mage who thought two of his companions immortal only to find himself suddenly alone in a world that turned against him, standing over the body of his fallen love and not comprehending what the grief that he feels stems from.
So, i need something that pulls me REALLY FAR down under.
Lol jk. I was just messing aroumd. Ummm... Watch 'requiem for a dream' maybe? That movie kicked the shit out of me when I was younger. Been a long time, but still.
Actually both those are only a little sad, and more super depressing and in the case of irreversible fucked up.
Sad... Nothing springs to mind. I don't know many short stories either.
