You can link pictures from a discord server, so you can create a private server to host your pics and link them here which has the bonus of being able to sort them by story using channels

Storing them on a discord server works too

I don't know if it's only for me or if it's directly coming from the site (only happened on it so far.). For a couple of weeks now when I write a chapter using my phone, if I hit the back button to erase the last letter it randomly erases the whole text I typed on the page sometimes. It's super...

Often when I try to message someone on chyoa using my phone (running Firefox on Android if it helps) it types the text white in the chat box. I can see the cursor move, I can select the text but I can't read what I write. I'm often forced to type my message in the search bar and copy paste it...

I'm not really a "fan" of many celebrities, there are a few actresses that I find sexy and that I appreciate. But after years of writing and reading sexy stories on the interwebs I never found found any story focused on a real person that I really liked. The closest I get to that is through...

It's been a while since I did this. Well, hi people of chyoa, it's me, Despaxas. I'm not dead. Real life is a pain and covid tried and failed to kill me. I'll be pretty honest these last two years have not been fun and almost killed my writing abilities. I tried to get back to writing...

Self explanatory. 3000 notifications red dots disappear if you look at the the notification button funny, but I just spent 15 minutes scrolling down through hundreds of messages including some nearly a year old to find the ones with a background a tiny bit darker white than the others to find...

My point is that as popular as it is and with so many very active readers barely anyone knew that the forum existed or took the time to come here.

As someone who is on such a server (focused on one story, but it is a sample) People (readers) can chat with the authors, discuss the story with each other, we have private channels for authors to discuss between each other. Galleries of pictures, channels for off topic stuff like gaming...

A low investment solution could be to have a Discord server for the site. We made one just one of my stories and it gets multiple times the activity in a day that the forum get in a few weeks. That way there no need for the technical aspect of things, just creating channels and some...

Technically it would not show bad ends, some one chapter long off branches are sometimes just ideas thrown in that have not been furthered yet. There is no way to know if it is an ending, a dead branch or the start of something with more to come in the next few days, weeks, months

Just make it a togglable option Show branch length on options [x]

Another thing that could be useful to display next to an option is the depth of the branch behind it. So it would simply a number telling that the longest branch past this option is X chapters long and do it again for each further choice. Would avoid the 3 chapters long branch bad surprises...

I just realized something, in many situations if people continue from the last chapter, the original authors chapter get the second slot instead of being on top. Some people pick their choices based on options, others want to see what was the story that the story owner wanted to write (both...

No idea what you mean by that. Could you please explain it further?

Because seeing someone complaining that he can't cheat anymore and openly proposing another way to cheat the system is pretty irksome?

I really wish there was a word count, both in individual chapters and whole stories. I can't remember how many times I got attracted by a story with tons of chapters only to discover that most of them were one or two paragraphs only...

I use my phone and the stats only appear when I hold it sideways

Or maybe there is actually no problem. Yes the chapters here are not the same as a chapter in a paper novel, but the structure that stories take here wouldn't work with longer chapters. The term page is a bit vague when it can be between a few words to more than 3000 (which would be more...

But don't you sense your OCD kicking in, yearning to tally every single chapter update of the last month? *smiles deviously*
