Make sure that the condition is set up correctly (via "changes to the score") and active (check that you see it on the "score" tab). If you see it, then the later chapter must be at fault and "the conditions to view the chapter" not set up correctly. A spelling mismatch of the variable perhaps...

Considering that you write chapters, where nothing interesting happens, on purpose, this shouldn't come as a huge surprise ;-)

I just made the following observation on my device (android + chrome). Perhaps it is related to the issue? In a story/chapter with "conditional branches" enabled, and "Changes to the score" checked, the "enter" button takes me to the Variables instead, and i am not able to create tags either...

Don't know if that really is the case, but is it possible that your text is still there if you "un-link" the chapter?

As far as i know you cannot completely remove a variable. But a variable can be set to "hidden". When you remove the Flashlight, i.e. set the variable to false, you can set the variable to "hidden" at the same time. The variable would still be there, but it would not be shown to the reader. For...

Before I did read your post, I thought that the Veteran Achievement is the problem, because it is unattainable by newer members. But you are right that even without it, we still have a static list. Using additional criteria besides the achievments seems like a good idea.
