Living in Your Sister's Shadow (& other stories by ThreeNipps)

OP upload queue updated. Was unfortunately kind of busy this weekend and not able to get much done. How cool would it be to have the Affection Multiplier perk where you only need 4 hours of sleep a night? I'll likely have the next SSS chapter out tonight. I don't have work Monday so it should be...

Living in Your Sister's Shadow (& other stories by ThreeNipps)

Probably write 5-10 in September so I have a cushion for days in October when I'm busy or whatever. I mean, odds are I wont pull it off but the house on 13th street will be my main focus for the month regardless

Living in Your Sister's Shadow (& other stories by ThreeNipps)

Upload queue updated. I'm excited about getting back into Spooky Scary Sisters. I'll try to update it at least every other week or so. Once October rolls around, I'll have a backlog of chapters prepared and do a 30 chapters in 30 days type thing. Also, there are several dead storylines in SSS...

Living in Your Sister's Shadow (& other stories by ThreeNipps)

To continue the conversation about harems in the latest LIYSS chapter, I'd like to ask you guys a question. Keep in mind that I am in no way confirming or denying anything that will happen in any future storylines. Given everything we know so far, is Jack capable of pulling off something like a...

Living in Your Sister's Shadow (& other stories by ThreeNipps)

Alright, so this post will probably be edited a lot in the future but this thread will serve as a place where I post some general information and also answer any questions you have at length (avoiding spoilers of course). If you want to throw around theories and have discussions amongst...

Ever surprised by what takes off?

I was looking at the story map for the VDC and did a double take when I noticed the discrepancy in likes between your story and everyone else's. I genuinely don't get it. Likes can be extremely fickle. Chapters that you don't think will do well, will. Chapters you are really proud of will...

Lesser known authors and stories, or work in genres you normally avoid

On a whim, I tried a new story called "Maisie's Big Day." It's only got a few chapters so far but it's well written. The author is new as well. This sentence made me laugh out loud: "Game of Thrones had gone down in flames, but at least it had given her a hell of a figure."

Lesser known authors and stories, or work in genres you normally avoid

Finished American Fox in London and Family Values. Enjoyed both of them. Any other recommendations?

How do you know your public perception as a CHYOA Author?

You can go into notification settings and turn off notifications for bookmarks.

Tools talk: What tools do you use to write?

I just use Notepad or write on here directly. One really old-school thing I do is outline all of my stories with pen and paper. I think it's just a habit from creative writing classes that I took in the past. I really like how Scrivener looks from that screenshot. Might give it a look.

How do you know your public perception as a CHYOA Author?

For what it's worth, here's my advice on gaining a following and building a successful/popular story. 1. Buildup is everything. You need the readers to care about the characters and story. If they don't, tons of them will leave after the first sex scene. Also, if readers are emotionally...

    New Years Resolutions

CHYOA - Just improve as a writer. When I look at my earliest chapters, I realize how much I've improved. A year from now, I want that same feeling when I look at the chapters I'm currently writing. I'm happy with the progress that I've made but know that there's a long way to go. Not sure if...

Lesser known authors and stories, or work in genres you normally avoid

I tried Secret Masochist and while the quality of writing is clearly fantastic, it just isn't for me... lol I'll check out the other stories posted in here. Also 100 percent agree that wilparu deserves a lot more love

question about the Story Of The Week honor

Sorry... :( I think that I'll have my branch 25 deep in a few days. One of the stories in the collection by user Nom Nom Nom de Plume is complete but it's 15 chapters. It's really good though! We also have wilparu working on it who puts out great content at a high rate. We'll get there!

And the most popular genre on Chyoa is . . .

This is what did it for me. The scene where Jaime and Cersei get it on in the tower triggered something in my head. Next thing I know, I'm reading stories in the category all of the time. This led to fantasizing and creating my own scenarios in my head. Now I'm actually writing.
