Max:
Luckily for Max, fraud was not a very profitable crime here in the Underworld. Sure, you might be able to sucker a few dumbasses, but there was always the chance of people who were legit in the craft to find you and take you out for stealing their customers or you end up suckering the wrong crowd. It was still a thing that happened, but self-policing has its benefits, even in a criminal infestation.
The medical ward the soldier found himself in wasn't pretty to look at, but it worked. And there were rumors of this doctor catering to some very unsavory types, so he didn't get crossed much on a day to day basis.
Inside the building there wasn't much in the ways of customers ahead of him. Only a couple of individuals were here with him. There was a hallway in the back of the room with a desk in the middle. The person sitting at the desk was obvious an Android, a very comely Aravi look-alike that was there. It was obvious mostly because the synthetic skin around her elbows wore out so you could see her joints as she moved them. It also didn't seem like she had a lower body with how she was positioned, permenantly fixed to the desk.
The decorum of the place was rather lackluster. Just some low quality sitting arrangements strewn about the room with a wall lined with strange machines. Who knew what they were all for?
The Android looked to Max and scanned him up and down. She then noted, "Good evening, sir. The doctor is currently busy, but you seem to be a sufferer of corrosives on your skin. Please refer to the distributers on the right for immediate treatment, to nullify the acidic element. If you wish for skin and tissue repair, please wait for the next available moment."
Max nodded silently and walked over to the dispensers where he typed in the nature of his injury. He had basic first-aid training, but was still glad that the machines were very straightforward.
He hissed quietly as he struggled to take off his jacket and roll up the sleeve of his t-shirt. He regarded the ruined arm of his coat and frowned; he would either have to get it patched somehow or replace it altogether.
'Damn.' he thought
'I really liked this jacket.'
With a *DING* the machine indicated that it had compiled the necessary items and was ready for payment. Max transferred the necessary credits and the dispenser relinquished its goods in the form of a small vial, blood-bag, tube, and attached needle. 'I can't believe this place still uses needles.' Max thought as he took the vial and poured its contents onto his wound.
"MOTHERFUCKER!" He cried a little too loudly, but he didn't really care at that moment.
The stinging, and searing pain caused Max to clutch his arm and almost double over in agony. There was a distinct sizzling sound as the substance from the vial mixed with the acid in his laceration, and Max struggled to focus on anything but the near overwhelming pain in his arm. With controlled breathing, Max grabbed the rest of his merchandise, and shuffled over to a seat next to a stand. With deep breaths to help fight through the pain, Max hooked the blood-bag onto the stand and set up the tube. He then injected the needle into his vein and watched as the fresh blood entered his system.
After a minute or two he hazarded a glance at the injury to his arm. Already he could see the wound closing itself and he once again thanked that genetic augmentation he opted for when he joined the navy. He knew the wound would fix itself in a few hours. It would leave a scar, but that was to be expected, after all he had plenty of them.
With some effort, he set up his personal computer to alert him with enough time to make it to the safe-house, pick up his gear, and make it to the ship with time to spare, just in case anything happened. Next, he sat back and waited for the blood-bag to empty.
