Aloy's day began no different to most others. Taking a break from her adventures to rest and relax, and to get away from it all. She was wandering through the woods near Carja territory when a soft bleeping sound drew her attention. Deciding the investigate, she pushed through the woods off the beaten path, to an abandoned shelter, a relic of the old ones. The sound rang out more clearly now, resonating with her focus the closer she got. After a bit os searching, she found a small glowing device the sound was ringing from. Picking up the device, she turned it over and inspected it. A static shock jolted her and she dropped the device on the floor, it's casing breaking open. Saddened by the devices' destruction, Aloy shook her hand out and went to scan the device. Maybe We should leave it alone. The thought came unbid into her mind. It seemed so.... Off. She was curious by nature, but the machine didn't seem so interesting anymore. Maybe she was more tired and in need of a break than she thought. A lot set out towards the nearest settlement. And if she knew what had really happened with that shock, she would discard her focus in an instant. But if she even found out, it would be too late.
