Mszczuj didn't excepted to find use for money in the wild, where he is coming, so he decided it will be better if he get for himself good protection on the mission. "Alright, but I warming you if you screw something and I get killed because of that, my men will return for you. So make sure to do your work right." He said leave him to work. Now Mszczuj go for supper to get some rest.
“No, let her speak. Sometimes good ideas come from the most unexpected places.” Ophelia said to Jaroslaw before looking at Felina. “Let's hear what you have to say, but make it quick – we can't afford to waste time.”
"Eheh. Yeah... that is a long shot... unless Marienburg is somewhere within Trakai's forests." Allune said in a rather sarcastic tone. "Anyway... what else can you tell us about these knights? What made them... stray from the light?" She asked, while looking around to check if her companions were doing their job.
'Uhm, well, I don't really have time to be aroused right now, if we want to stop that attack,' Angelo frowned, 'And Marguerite can't exactly fight like she did before either, once we go to help the rest of the Inquisition.'
The party sits around a firepit within the courtyard. Eva scoops out some rations into a bowl, and passes it to Dobron to hand to him.
Mszczuj take bowl and said "Thank you." Next he pray before eating and later eat all. Tomorow will be long day, he need a lot strenght to done it right.
Jaroslaw bows his head, moving aside to let Felina approach. "My lady, her ladyship Miroslava built a passageway in the library, leading to a small shack in the village. It was built for discrete entry and exit, not military escape, so I don't think we could use it to get away, but it would put us quite close to those cannons." She points at a shack in the village, and Ophelia sees that it is quite close, on the outskirts and thus not in the centre of the raiding knights and demons. She also gets a feeling that it would put the cannons in range of her ice spell. Felina continues. "The lady purchased a hand cannon a few winters ago. I believe that if we were to fire it from that position, it would ignite the barrel of powder." Jaroslaw raises an eyebrow. "If this is true, my lady... A hand cannon would be better at detonating black powder than our crossbows, and we wouldn't have to worry about trying to make fire arrows, which are hard to use practically, though not impossible." Benacio smiles. "It's decided then, time for me to blow up some demon worshippers." Boldly, he strides towards the castle. "Where did Miroslava keep the hand cannon, maid?" She begins to follow.
"Unfortunately not. It's just something I ask travelers." She looks down, disappointed. "As to your question, it's difficult to say what exactly made them take the path they did. The Templar Order thought it an embarrassment that so many of their own rebelled, and so tried to silence any records of the event. The King of France destroyed many records when he destroyed the Templars, so even less survives."
“I don’t love the idea of doing it, but camouflaging this many people needs quite a lot of power. We’ll blend with the environment and pick off important targets instead of trying to fight the main force. A disorganized mess will be much easier to handle when we can make a proper attack later. Besides..perhaps, it’s not the most noble thing to say, but the dead can’t complain.” (Going to be tied up at work for a good while)
"Well, that's unfortunate." Allune sighed as she learned their reasons were erased from history. "Anyway, I'll do my best to help you find those texts. But, I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you. We are dealing with monsters after all..." She said in a rather dejected tone. "Hmm. Do you have a book about demons, or monsters created from... mutilated humans?"
Marguerite shakes her head. "You can't drink my blood, it's acidic to humans. It would have to be her." Sarva nods. Miroslava nods. "A good idea. I can help with that."
'Fine, if you both think it would help,' Angelo nodded, before he turned to Sarva, 'So... how would this work?'
"Yeah, something like those. They... those black knights create monsters from corpses. So... yes." Allune nodded.
“The hand cannon seems like our best bet right now. We should bring a couple of soldiers along, in case any enemies have been lucky enough to find the passage, or happen to be nearby when we exit. For the same reason we should put a couple of men in the library, just in case.” Ophelia looked at Jaroslaw and Kuril. “I'll be going along with my brother, so that leaves the castle in your hands for now. Hopefully nothing will happen until we're back.” The main reason she was going along was as backup - if the hand cannon did not work as expected she could use her spells instead.
Miroslava gathers up some ingredients from the cabinet. "Let me know what you need." The Guardian looks at Larisa. "I'm not really suited for stealth, so I'll stay back to prepare for a hammer blow. When you find a weak point, or if you get caught and need rescue, sound this, and I'll make my move." He hands her a hunting horn.
Sarva says "Well, I can just cut my wrist and let you drink from it, but if that's a bit too disgusting for you, I can find a bowl and fill it."
The woman walks into among the shelves, bringing out a handful of tomes. "These are bestiaries and grimoires focusing on undead creatures." Whilst there are many types of undead categorised in the books, Allune sees nothing pertaining to the kind of molded creatures made of multiple combined corpses that she's seen to this point.
'A bowl?' Angelo repeated, 'That sounds like a lot... maybe we chose the option that let's you lose as little blood as possible?'
