    FallenSaint Really Really Experienced

Alright, I was thinking of another PBP game and wanted to see if anyone was interested.

The game will take place in the world of Valance. Long ago, the Gods and Spirits walked among the people. Nature flourish, and all races lived in harmony. But over time, humans grew jealous of the other races. The other races were all some form of humanoid based off of animals found in the world. And like their animal counterpart, these other races all had special traits to help them survive. The Humans were perhaps the weakest of all races, having only their wits and numbers. So as their jealousy grew, they began to attack the other races and formed a kingdom. They drove out all Spirits and Gods, declaring themselves a Godless race, and spread their influence far and wide.

Time passed, and as their people were subjugated, the Gods became weaker. Without worshipers, some began to die. With the death of each God and Spirit, the human empire grew stronger. The other races taken over by them were considered lesser beings and forced to live in slums or poor villages. Humans continued to prosper, but the followers of the few remaining Gods now live in fear out in the wilderness.

For this game, you play as one of the followers of a the wild God Tulris. He is a God of all things wild and untamed. His high priestess has grown old and is nearing her final days. A new high priestess has been chosen, but she must first go on a pilgrimage to six holy sites and spend a day in prayer at eat. When she is done, she will be able to return to her home and take her place as high priestess.

This chosen woman is Aria, a faun. She has the upper body of a woman, but her lower body and legs are that of a deer. (She has two legs, not four like a centaur.) The players will be followers of Tulris that have volunteered to protect her on the pilgrimage.

Now, the players can choose either to use magic or normal weapons as they wish, BUUUUT magic is the power of Gods, Spirits, and Demons. To use magic, you have to call upon the power of one of these beings. That being said, Demon magic will obviously be horrible and have a high price, where Gods and Spirits will be much more friendlier (Usually) and have more helpful and kind effects. Aria will have magic relating to nature and healing because of Tulris. Humans that follow the Gods can still use magic, but the Empire will rely on technology (Steam punkish) in combat.

Players can either be human or one of the humanoid animal-morphs (Rabbitmorph, Lionmorph, ect.)

This game will have sex, but it is not the focus. I would like at least three players for this, so is anyone interested?

Could you tell us a bit more about the Gods and Spirits? What do they look like, what can they do...

In any case the setting seems interesting so I'll play.

Looks and things such as that differ from one to the other. Tulris looks like a deer, but is the size of a van and his color change depending on his mood to a light tan to a dark black. Spirits are generally humanoid in shape, but are small. They are kind of like fairies, but are based on specific things. While a God will have quite a lot of power and be able to use magic that has a range of abilities, a Wind Spirit can only use wind magic, and will have wings. An Earth Spirit, again can only use magic related to dirt and soil. Water Spirits would look like small mermaids, and so on.

Other Gods shades and sizes would also differ. I haven't really named any of the others yet, but I was thinking of a Harpy-Like Goddess that might be found on a mountain Aria would have to visit. Other Gods might look like angels or simply like a human with great power.

Demons on the other hand always look tainted. They can never completely mask what they are, so even if one has a beautiful face and body, somewhere on them would be a place that is corrupted or rotting or just twisted in some way. Keep in mind, if you are using Demon magic, you will have some kind of taint or pay some price for it. Thinking of making a character that is mute because he gave up his tongue and voice to use demon magic. A good example would be Medusa from greek mythology. She was supposed to be a beautiful woman with snakes for her hair. Her hair would have been the sign that she was a demon or tainted by their magic in this world.

Each God would have their own realm of magical power, though there could be multiple Gods with similar powers. With their numbers becoming fewer and fewer though, that is less likely to happen. Tulris is a wild God and has power of the wilderness, not just forests and grass, but anything that is untamed. His power would be diminished in a city or place that has been overly touched by technology and discipline. The Harpy-like Goddess would be over the mountain and sky.

Spirits wouldn't be able to give their power to more than one person though. If a spirit is to give someone magic, they basically become that person's familliar and stay with that person as long as they wish it. SOOOO if you have fire magic from a Fire Spirit, and tell that spirit to leave, you lose their magic. Getting another Fire Spirit might not give you the exact same spells though.

Lol any other questions? I'll answer as best I can. What kind of race and gender do you think you will use? And what weapons or magic? If you are using magic, you can choose one Spirit as a familiar. (I'll control the Spirit familiar so if they talk to you, I'll be able to supply you with info through them.)

I was thinking about a female human (haven't decided on a name yet). Years ago she nearly drowned but was saved by a Goddess that looked completely human (except for her light blue hair). She never got to say thanks so she wants to find the Goddess and thank her properly.

Of course, the "Goddess" might have been a human woman using magic, but if you value your life you best not mention that in front of my character...

Even since that incident she has been able to use magic.

Haven't thought beyond the above details.

If you are using magic and saved by a possible Goddess, I'm guessing you would be using water magic. You would have to know the Goddess well enough to worship her (Yes, you can worship multiple Gods. Most of them were ok with it back in the "Golden Age") but you could still be using a Spirit that was around at the time of the rescue. Possibly even with the Goddess when she rescued you.

Well, she saw the Goddess only briefly so she likely wouldn't know her well enough to worship her, at least at the start of the game (maybe if the two actually meet during the game...). So I was thinking about a water spirit accompanying her and allowing her to use water magic.

Can a character use magic from both a Spirit and a God? Also, can water spirits fly? That will make it a lot easier for them to move around.

A character can use magic from anyone they can call on, so you can use magic from multiple sources. Getting more than one Spirit means more magical power and you can call upon the power of multiple Gods and Demons as well. I caution against the demons though. The spirit wouldn't fly, but when it is your familiar, it can float around you and also sleep inside of you when not needed.

We got an interesting mix of characters here.

Lol yeah, three that seem to be mages (Two of which are NPCs) Two warriors (One is NPC) and one that seems to be a mix of both. Two of whom seem like they might be trouble for the group lol. I'll try to get the game's first post up either before bed or sometime tomorrow afternoon. I'll also get a discussion thread going for questions and comments. Until it is up we can use this place, but I'll try not to leave us hanging on it too long.
