Got it. That really made my day, thanks. We can dial it back, at least a little. Does that mean we should cancel this weekend? With Damien seemingly currently mostly satisfied, that was one problem out of the way for the time being. After she had sent a response to Adel, there was a lag in time before she got any response back, right outside the door of her next class before Felica had relayed a reply. "Yeah, sure. Now do you want to stop getting almost murdered on my day off? Would be pretty cool of you." So what? Like they have a actual work schedule? I made Abel get off his ass to go check on Laya, but he seems pretty sure that she'll be fine. He says it would be better if you all grouped again when you can. Would make it easier to keep track of everyone without the running around. He's really bitchy about risking getting the bar ruined though, so pick somewhere else. With that out of the way, the rest of the classes proceed as normal, nothing really exciting to mention with the afternoon classes until the bell finally rings, closing school for the day.
I'm not sure. I'll get back to you. Glad you enjoyed the photo. She heads to the archives, heading to get Jack's home address, so she can go to his place, given that she doesn't have any other way of contacting him.
"Okay. Good. You'll be on my murder list too if you scratch it." Heather reached into her pockets to hand the keys over to him, still not looking forward to just standing by and waiting around for whatever may happen. Jack had managed to find the name and address easily enough. His sister complaints about nobody being on the counter shared by a few people, leaving it at an average three star rating. Aside from that, the number was there. The phone rang for a few seconds, until someone picked up. "Rumors. How can I help you?" It was a male voice that didn't sound like the usual staff. Probably a part timer or a stand in if they were going to be out for a while.
'Thanks,' Jack said, taking the keys, 'I promise I won't scratch it.' 'Oh, hello,' Jack said, 'Is Adel or Abel there? I need to talk to them... their cell numbers would do as well if they're out.'
While the archives have hundreds of student names, she knew the year of Jack's graduation and had his name. It took a bit of time to sift through, but she still found his registration and the home address that he most likely still lived at. While his parent's numbers are there, his isn't since that isn't required to fill out or asked for. Still, it was more information of her former student than she had a while ago, and there was a good possibility that it was still up to date.
"Ugh..just don't fuck with my seat settings." Heather allowed him to make his call, arms folded and idly tapping her foot with impatience and undecided of what she should be doing. "Adel isn't scheduled to work today. Abel went out an emergency. I can give you the numbers, if you want. That might be bothering them though. If you need anything, I can probably help you with it." Assuming it was a typical call, the worker was fairly calm and came across actually more professional at his job than the other two. After a quick discussion, he ultimately provided Jack with their respective numbers.
'Okay, thanks for everything,' Jack hung up and looked to his sister, 'Well, maybe I don't need to molest your car after all.' He quickly dialed Adel's number, hoping she would pick up with an unknown number calling.
The bus stop isn't too far off from school, with regular buses still coming through. The only issue is that they run on a schedule. After staying put for more time than she felt like she should be around for, the bus had finally pulled up as people began to pile in. The driver went at legal speeds, doing everything annoyingly right. It would be good if this didn't feel like she was pressed for time. Checking her phone, much more time had passed by the time she finally was able to step off near the residential area around Jack's house.
"Well, you do have to deal with a pyschopath, so it should be fine." Reluctant to get all touchy or say anything outwardly nice, she wandered back to the kitchen, grabbing an orange, resigned to having nothing better to do and her stomach growling. _______________________________ Jesus. Does everything in my life have to revolve around these idiots now? Adel was busy at war with her own thoughts, flipping off someone who had just cut her off on the road, before distracted by the sudden ringing of her phone that sat beside her. A number she didn't recognize, she simply hit the button to refuse accepting it. Fucking telemarketers. I don't have time for this shit.
Jack was a bit disappointed, but not surprised. He sent Adel a text instead: Hey, Adel. Jack here. Do you know a girl called Angela? The crazy bitch thinks she's my girlfriend and got me some weird present. 'Oh, damn this better not be that girl,' Jack cursed and called to his sister, 'I'll get it, Heather.' He went to the door and spied through the glass, before seeing Alexandra and quickly opening the door. 'Hey, Alexandra, funny you'd show up here... I just wanted to talk to you,' Jack said, 'Uhm, well, there's some crazy stalker girl called Angela after me... and she vaguely threatened to take you and Adel out of the picture if you get in her way.' He stepped to the side, 'Oh, sorry, come in please.'
Alexandra steps inside. "Yeah, I was afraid something like that. I told you that the girls would be interested in you. I didn't think that they'd be that interested. You didn't get a gift beforehand, did you?"
Jack? K. Dnt opn the bozcx. Seirosulgy Adel’s response was a bit of a mess, but the general idea could be made out of what she was trying to say. @Tjf Seeing a former teacher of hers stroll in to, Heather looked stunned, especially at the proof her brother wasn’t lying. “Miss Kinley? Unm...hey. Been a while.” She was always a chatty student, but was clearly aware this wasn’t the ideal time to catch up.
Alexandra beams at her former student, the girl's disruptive classroom habits forgotten. "Hey, Heather! Good to see you. Ummm, it's not exactly easy to explain what's going on."
'Yeah, I got a box,' Jack said to Alexandra, he brought the box to the living room and showed it to her, 'There's this weird cylinder and this jacket. Fits me like a glove, I'm not sure how she got the righ size. The crazy girl wants to meet me in a park.' Jack look at his sister, 'It's McKinney not Kinley, Heather.' He chuckled. He sent a message back to Adel: Too late for that.
"Damn. I was talking with our friend Felica earlier. She told me that I'd be getting a box like that, and that if I opened it I'd die. I guess you got the box instead of me."
@Tjf @unisol_gr44 "Right...whatever. Me, getting the name right is literally the least of problems right now. We got...I don't know. We just know that she's crazy." Heather had the least understanding of the situation, doing her best to try to piece it all together. Alexandra knew she was smarter than she looked and if she was given time, she'd figure things out eventually, but to even start to grasp everything that was happening required a lot of leaps in logic. Jack could feel his phone buzzing again. WTF? Y the fuck would U open it? Dn't move. On way. Drivin
'D-Die?' Jack said, 'What the hell? I don't know... there wasn't any bomb in the box. And the stuff isn't toxic. Okay, the stuff in the cylinder might be but I'm not gonna smash it to find out.'
'Right, sorry, I'm under a lot of stress right now, Sis,' Jack sighed. He replied to Adel: How would I know? I don't get presents often and my sister said she was real nice. K, not even gonna ask how you know where I live. We'll wait. Alexandra is here too.
