He helps her mounting his Grey Horse "Hold onto Me. I'm afraid I might ride a bit faster than A Lady is used to. He makes his Horse ride quiet fast as they travel trough The Forest, the other Knights following behind and some Ride upfront in case of any other ambushes. "Might I know Your Name My Lady?" The Chevallier asks her.
"That's alright. I trust that you're a good enough rider to carry me safely." The blonde begins to stop acting so panicked, as though she's recovering. "Velca Tamerlane. Can I know yours?"
Cedrics Mother smiles "I'm quiet well. Your Father is quiet on edge since we came to The Capitol. Of course he would never admitt that because of his Pride. But You know him...He probably expects You to slay a Dragon today, so take it easy and don't Risk Your Health in this Tournament." She walks over to his Horse and pets it's head as She continues to talk. Unfortunately Your Brothers couldn't come. I was meant to write You but I didn't wanted to distract You while You prepared so hard for this Day. Celine however came to The Capitol it Us. Naturally she placed bets on You I quote 'Having Your Butt kicked' She chuckles slightly.
The Chevallier looks over his Shoulder smiling at her. "Ser Nathaniel Turok. If You forgive my Comment, but A Lady such as Yourself shouldn't travel these Parts without an Escort. Your Partner doesent strike me as somebody who knows how to Use a Sword either"
'I don't think they'll have any dragons on offer today,' Cedric chuckled, 'It's too bad Henry and Dominic aren't here, we'll have to catch up another time. Wait, what? Celine bet money that I lose? A pity I'll have to waste father's money then. Does Celine even have time to watch the tourney between flirting with the king's courtiers?'
"Nice to meet you, Nathaniel." She nods. "No offence taken, I know I shouldn't be travelling alone, but I have no money for a bodyguard, unfortunately."
"Cedric!" His Mother says baffled at her Sons comment on his Sister. "Your Sister wouldnt do such a thing. She grew to be quiet A Lady at court....Ok I wouldn't go this far but She eased up and is now less Wild. But You know just as much as I am that She wishes You good Luck in this Tournament."
"Well lucky me then I guess?" He smiles. I would show You around The Capitol if You like and offer my Services if that's what You want."
"I wouldn't want to abuse your generosity. Like I said, I don't have enough money to hire a knight for long." She returns the smile. "That's very sweet, though."
'Less wild? Part of me doubts that, but I'll take your word for it,' Cedric chuckled, 'You know we've always had this teasing rivalry, I'm sure she does wish me the best, in her own way.'
"Worry not, helping those in need is one of The Duties of every good Chevallier." They travel for about two Hours before The Arrive at The Capitol Citys Gates. Soldiers open The Heavy Gates for them and Velca sees The Massive City in all its overwhelming Size for The First Time.
"We all know that You will give Your Best. Now don't let me hold You off any longer. Make Us proud and be careful ok?" She says with a smile, stepping aside from his Horse.
'I will, thanks for everything, mother,' Cedric smiled and fastened the weapons to his mare, then led her out of the stable with his helmet in hand.
The Crowd Cheers as Cedric walks outside, but probably more for The Fact that the Tourney finally starts. Cedric sees Countless People on The Ranks on The Sides of The Tourney Grounds and in The Distance high above on a Balcony King Marcus himself. The Announcer, a Colourful dressed Man stands in The Center, opening up the Tournament "Lords and Ladies, Welcome to The Yearly Tournament of Ithia!" The Crowd Cheers and watches. Cedric cannot see His Father or Uncle among The many People but he can see The King high above on The Balcony, giving a brief nod to The Young Man.
Cedric looked around the crowds, quite awed by all the people who came to watch and the attention he was getting. Giving the king a small bow, he looked at the other contestants, his would-be opponents. He did his best to look confident at least, expect for his family nobody would have too high expectations of a nearly unknown newcomer.
The Announcer walks beside Cedric. Our First Contestant of Marhovis, Son of Count Karolus of Marhovis. Former Squire of Rodrick Marhovis. His First Tourney so we are in for a Exiting Time with this Newcommer." He grabs Cedrics and and Raises it, the Crowd Cheers and claps.
Cedric waved at the crowd and gave them his most winning smile, while the announcer introduced him. He then waited for him to announce the others.
"And here comes Ser Husca from Thund. If his Horse and Lance is as Fast and Wild as Last Year, then This should be a Amazing First Round in this Years Tourney" The Knight walks over to Cedric, guiding his Horse with his Hand. "Nice to see some new Competition. Good Luck" he offers his Hand.
'And to you as well, Sir Husca,' Cedric said and shook the man's hand. Taking his position on his end of the field, Cedric donned his helmet and went up the steps to mount his horse. Taking a wooden lance of the rack, he got ready for the first joust.
Pffft, she thinks, is this guy for real, or just trying to get into my skirt? Either way, a bodyguard and guide might be useful. "Very well, then. I accept!" She smiles. "What a beautiful city."
