'You always end up waiting for me somewhere, huh?' Cedric chuckled, 'See you in a bit.' Cedric walked up to the counter, but he wasn't sure if the other man was done talking to the elf yet.
She nods, leaning against the wall while he hires the room. Seeing the young man looking at him, Velca gives him a brief smile, polite, but possibly a little flirty. Mmm, not bad... Afterwards, her attention goes back to Nathaniel, tracking how far along he is in renting the room.
Seeing that the man was still talking to the elf at the bar, and the noble lady smiling at him, Cedric approached her. He gave her a quick bow and smiled, 'Greetings, are you waiting to get set up too? I hope I'm not bothering you, I'm Cedric and not from around here either.'
Velca returns the smile and gives a quick curtsy, which has the side effect of giving the youth a look at her impressive cleavage. "I'm Velca. Yes, I am. My companion is hiring a room for me." She chuckles. "No, you're not bothering me. I'm happy to meet new people, especially in my first time in a city."
For the briefest moment the young man got slightly rosy cheeks. Velca knew he had taken a discreet peek at her. He quickly composed himself and smiled, though, 'Well met, Velca. I can understand. I'm from the countryside myself, been in smaller cities before but they were towns compared to the capital. My uncle brought me to compete in the king's tourney. Unfortunately, I met Ser Gregor in the second round, so it's over for me already, pretty lucky I survived the match with only a really sore neck. What brings you here, if you don't mind me asking?'
"Oh, you're a jouster?" He sees her smile widen slightly, impressed. "Are you okay? I've heard that Gregor is a monster." She gives him a brief look of concern, before answering the question. "Oh, me? I'm looking to make my fortune."
'Sore neck, bit of a headache, the bastard hit my helmet pretty hard,' Cedric said, 'I'll be alright.' He nodded, 'It comes with the territory, I've squired for my uncle Ser Rodrick of Marhovis for quite a few years. I didn't achieve a knighthood yet, but I'm on my own for now.' 'Make a fortune? How are you planning to acquire that?' Cedric asked.
"I'm glad you're alright, at least." She smiles, while making a note of the name, in case the connection could prove useful at some point. "Any way I can," she answers, "though I was hoping to do it through business. A Lord brought me here to show me some investment opportunities, but I think he's pissed off at me after we got ambushed by elves in the forest." She rolls her eyes. "As If it's my fault that he can't run fast. Like, I gave him a knife, and lured the guard into the woods! What more could he ask for? Written invitation?" She crosses her arms in irritation. "Sorry, don't mind me."
'Ambushed by elves? And you are unharmed, managed to snag a knife and lure one of them into the woods? You must be quite resourceful, how'd you managed to do all of that?' Cedric looked quite impressed, the young man obviously having thought she was just a pretty noblewoman coming to the capital for business before.
Given that, in reality, she accomplished that feat by making a deal with the elves and performing oral sex on one of them, Velca 'bends the truth' slightly in her recount of events. "Oh, stop." She blushes. "Well, I used the elf's greed to my advantage. I hinted that I could help him get a bigger share of the loot, and took him to the woods to discuss the plan." Technically, that's true, but of course, she left out the part about the blowjob. "As for the knife, the Lord left it in his carriage. I just picked it up and tossed it to him when no one was looking."
'So that lord foiled your carefully laid plans? Crafty, you should have no trouble making some money in the capital,' Cedric smiled, and then got an idea, 'But... you might need better bodyguards if you'll get ambushed by elves and thugs for your newfound wealth. It just happens that I'm kind of looking for employment at the moment myself. I know how to cook, sew and clean too after spending so many years as a squire.'
At this Moment the Man from earlier who talked with The Elv stands behind Cedric. "Lady Tammerlane is just fine without You kid, thank You for Your Concern."
'Lady Tamerlane?' Cedric said, that name carried some weight, 'And who are you to speak for her, good sir?'
He walks beside her and musters Cedric. "Ser Nathaniel, Chevallier. I'm this Ladies Bodyguard. Now why don't You turn around and Move on..."
Velca chuckles at the blatant request for a job, and goes to reply, before being interrupted by Nathaniel. "Please, Nathaniel, he means well." She smiles to her companion, before turning to Cedric. "I'd be honoured to have you as a bodyguard, but I have no money, unfortunately, or not enough to hire you, at least."
'Thank you for considering, but I wouldn't want to step on Ser Nathaniel's toes, he seems quite... protective,' Cedric said, 'We are both staying here, so I will see you around, lady Velca. The best of luck with your quest.' Cedric looked a little dejected but gave a quite bow and then headed to the counter, to get his own room set up.
The Elv on The Counter sets a cleaned Beercup aside and looks at Cedric. "Well aren't You a Handsome New Face. What can I do for You?" She says, smiling weakly.
'Greetings, I'm Cedric, my uncle Ser Rodrick told me he had arranged some lodging for me here,' Cedric told the innkeeper.
Nathaniel looks at Velca and shoots his head. "You dont need some Richborne Kid. You have me who can Help You out."
"Oh I see. Well I prepared a Room for You, do not worry about The payment. Please follow Me" She goes up some stairs to The First Floor of The Inn and opens a Door on The left, at The end of The Corridor. "I hope everything is to Your liking? If there are any Requests let me know..."
