So I have been reading a lot of Hentia manga lately and one thing I have noticed about them is they have an obsession the cervix being poked, speared and variously abused.

It's one of the things that really takes me out of a story. Mostly because the cervix is not something that should be poked and prodded with wild abandon. Hell, I even used the fact that a characters cervix was getting hit and it DIDN'T hurt as a way to show how deeply under a pretty literally spell that character was.

I have noticed that it is something that turns up in a certain kind of story, where the men have comically oversized cocks. It seems like a for a lot of guys out there they see it as a mark of pride that they can hit the cervix.

Which has made me kinda tempted to work it into a story, since usually if a guy can hit a woman's cervix it's because she really ain't that into what is going on.

I don't really have a point to this, it's just something that has been on my mind.

As you can see in the image linked above, the uterus is not connected at the back of the vagina, but rather, ABOVE the vaginal canal NEAR the back. What makes a huge cock superior?
A cock just has to stay inside the pussy to dump the semen. Yes, the longer it is, the more likely that will happen.
But... a bigger cock would mean that you have to provide more blood/pressure which would make the reproduction more exhausting, making the male more vulnerable to become a victim of a beast of prey or to get defeated and replaced by another male.

It is true that some people can get pleasure from something akin to what I was talking about. I should have made it more clear that I was really taking about stuff where it is foreceful. In comic form it takes the extreme of the cock literally entering the vagina. In written erotica it tends to be them talking about "Hitting" the cervix.

The human penis is large only compared to our closest primate relatives. If you look at all primates, including monkeys, then the size of our penis isn't actually exceptionally long. For example, the Hamadryas baboon has an erect penis of ~5 1/2 inches long. Slightly shorter than the average human male, but they're only about 1/3 the size of a human.

Our penises are also not really that complicated. It doesn't have lumps, ridges, flanges, kinks or any other exciting feature that other primates have. This simplicity is typical in monogamous species. On top of that, Testicle sizes is generally a good indicator of sexual competition within a species and in this area humans are quite lacking. Smaller testicles means less sperm generally indicates less competition amongst males. Two ends of the spectrum: Gorillas have a polygynous system(one dominant male to several females) and their testicles are minuscule compared to the rest of their body. Meanwhile Chimpanzee's have a multi-male to multi-female system(male chimps have sex with any females any time with any excuse) have much larger testicles compared to their body size.

This points to primitive Homo Sapiens probably adopting a polygynic system rather than a multi-male/multi-female system that eventually evolved into a monogamous or serial-monogamous system as most societies historically have adopted one of these systems or the other.

Only the patriarchal ones... In matriarchal societies, multiple-male/multiple-female systems are not unknown. Moreover, the further back in the record you go, the more common they appear to be. My belief is that there was a significant period where they were the norm, which explains the tendency of both males, but more significantly females, to cheat. Probably the ridge of the penis works like that, though I think the main advantage is that he doesn't slip out easily. Similar to an arrowhead.
The assumption about multiple males would require that the females would have had kind of regular gangbangs where the smallest cock started.
If you assume that the strongest males have had the biggest cocks, they would have been rather the first, while the smaller ones could have taken their chance afterward, which would basically have the opposite result.
If it is more like one male every six hours, the semen would already have found its way, either inside or outside.
Also, if bigger was always better, today the range would surely be closer together.

Yes, I find this a problem as well, especially one of the related incidents: when a woman's belly 'expands' with semen or alien eggs. Do you know why women get stretch marks from being pregnant? It's because the skin can't accommodate the expansion of the uterus and splits, eventually being filled in with scar tissue.
