So, I've got another plot bunny. The setting is as follows: In some generic fantasy world, a pantheon of gods (players) gathered to play a... tycoon game - something similar to "Millionaire" board game. But they use real heroes instead of game pieces. So, each god chooses a hero/team of adventures/a tourist with six-legged baggage - as his champion/s and a target for them. Then he/she throws dice to see what the champion/s got themselves into. 1-raiding a treasure room 2-accidentally meeting a dragoon unarmed 3-robbed naked 4-seduce a powerful vampires ...etc. Then the god/ess throws dice for an outcome of this meeting. The champion might gain something (ally powerful weapon, lover, kingdom, etc.) or lose something (hand, money, ally, life.). Of course, god/ess might decide to sacrifice one of the champions advantages (powerful weapon, ally, lover) to save him/her/them. Then the god/ess describes the entire scene. Then comes the next round. The death/enslavement/incapacitation of champion/s means a loose. The first champion/s to achieve his/her/their target means a victory for their patron. What do you think?
Are there rules to who one can choose as a champion? For example, can you choose someone else's champion as your champion too?
