The year is 1970, and East and West are locked in a perpetual struggle for dominance. The armies of the US and USSR are ready for a war that mercifully never comes. But in the shadows, another war is being waged - a war of spies. It's a war where nothing is for certain and there are no rules. Espionage, assassination, even sex. Especially sex... Everything is on the table.


Hey everyone. My latest RP idea is for an espionage game. Players would take the role of spies, working for national spy agencies like the KGB or CIA, or for private groups with their own motives. The tone would vary from pretty grounded to more zany James Bond style stuff depending on the preferences of individual players. Please let me know if this sounds interesting.
 
It sounds interesting. But are we going to have some special gadets and tools, in more futuristic tone or more standard procedure?

Definitely going to be gadgets, yeah. There'll be some advanced tech for the setting - though outside of stuff the spies use, technology will be normal for the period.

My thinking was that players would be the spies themselves. I could do it so that they're bosses, though.
