“Wha...that looks like...one of Asmodeus’s weapons?” Finding some strength, she snapped to stand straight and watch the thing.

“TRYING TO STEAL ALL MY STUFF JUST CAUSE I TOOK A NAP? WELL, GUESS WHAT? MOM STILL LIKES ME BEST!” She just saw the thing fly away as she made a pouting face.

“He’s so spoiled. Did he try writing me out of time again? If he ended up erasing all my work on my book then I’ll-” She had another theory pop into her head, but as she said it, it didn’t sound likely. “...no...this...really isn’t my realm anymore, huh?”

The realization became a bit more clear, as she thought on it. That’s why she was such a joke here. She wasn’t allowed outside of her own world.

Coming to a conclusion with her own thoughts, she looked at the rest. “Is it really our problem, though? If someone is sending war machines to eat them, we should probably avoid picking a fight with whoever is capable of making stuff like that...for now. What can we really do for them anyway? They’ll just be a bunch of bones and stuff and I can’t bring back the dead like this...at least not without a lab...maybe not even then.”

Again Velaelle rolled her eyes at the silver-haired girl's antics. But when the girl finally got serious she responded in kind. “We are clearly in a different world. We need to learn more about where we are and what we're dealing with. The crash seems like a good place to start – even if there are no survivors we might find something of use to us.” She explained and started walking toward the hill, planing to scout the area from the top.

Once she got to the top of the hill and had a chance to see the town on the other side Velaelle was forced to reconsider her earlier conclusion. “Hmm, interesting. I could be mistaken, but... this place looks like multiple towns, almost certainly from different worlds, merged together in a random manner. And if that is so, then there's a high chance that multiple locations, maybe even entire worlds, were merged together, either in part or in full.” She had no idea how such a thing was possible – she had never heard of a spell powerful enough to do this sort of thing.

“Doesn't look like we'll get much from the flaming ruin over there,” the noblewoman pointed at the remains of the flying object “I suggest we go into town and try to find someone who can give us some information about where we are. At the very least it will be easier to to find food and water.” She suggested.

“If that’s true...that...might explain all the destruction.” The white haired girl thought on it a little. “If we’re all from different places, how do you think their reaction to suddenly finding your town merged with a bunch of other strangers from dimensions?”

Ir was only a theory in her mind, but she didn’t see it as unlikely. “They probably went to ripping each other apart immediately...if there’s any survivors left, I doubt you can expect them to be the kind who want to talk after a war with jellyfish people and orcs. At least one person here has to be alive though...which means my followers must still exist somewhere.”

While more caught up with herself, she could already start to feel her stomach to growl reminding her she hadn’t eaten anything ever since being catapulted into this plane. “...well, normally you’d just knock on someone’s door and they just give you food, but if I’m right about extradimessional war, I don’t think anyone is going to be opening up willingly.”

Seeing the strange town, with all its different types of buildings. Cybele was now sure of her previous answer, "So worlds have mixed together." She said to no one in particular. And as she felt no hostilities, she once again unsummons her crimson spears. "Well, that... thing engulfed in flames seems to be no more. So I agree with Velaelle's suggestion. The town seems to be the safer choice."

Vier jumped slightly in surprise at the exclamation... and could not help but feel a little sorry for the woman as she seemed to be coming to an uncomfortable realization about her situation.

Poor little sexy thing. Maybe he would try to lay her first to make her feel better once they were in a less confusing situation.

Part of that confusion was how nobody else seemed to recognize a passenger jet. He had thought maybe he had stumbled on some really dedicated cosplay troupe at first but now he was not so sure.

Vier was also stunned by the sight. No technology he knew of could have pulled off something like what the elf and the evidence of his eyes was suggesting either.

"At the very least," he added, "they'll probably send people of their own to check it out. Unless they've gone full zombie apocalypse or something."

Valleirea gave out a sigh. "I guess, we have too." She didn't really expect this ending well if the people we're still just trying to figure out what was going on, but if not for any other reason, than sticking to a group raised her own chances of survival while she was still so pitifully weak, she felt forced to tag along.

To say that Valenya had been startled when she saw the plane fly overhead would have been an understatement. She literally jumped and then loosed an arrow at the thing. It didn't strike, instead falling harmlessly to the ground, but the 'young' woman shook with anxiety. The others discussed things about being on another world, but the remained quiet, not even voicing her apprehension about chasing the screeching giant metal bird. The other elf woman seemed to make some sense to her, they would need to find food water and shelter, and as the troupe moved she kept her eyes open for anything.

When they crossed over the rides of the hill she gasped at the collection of structures. As a wood elf she'd never seen a town before. Elven clans and tribes were nomadic by nature and didn't really put down roots. She herself could count on both hands the number of places she'd been to more than twice. Permanent buildings weren't the way of her people, unless they were high elves, but even then she had no experience with them either. Her mother once told her about the "Unnatural" way humans lived in buildings and clearing land for farms and such, but Val herself had never seen them.

Her curiosity piqued, she silently followed the others excited and nervous about what was to come. Then her stomach growled reminding her she was hungry, and her eyes redoubled their efforts to find tracks of animals or perhaps some fruit bearing trees. If this really was some sort of town like humans built, perhaps there would be farms around too.

Your group enters onto the nearest street of the town. The school is a large, L-shaped building with a chain-link fence surrounding it. Several parts of the fence are crushed and damaged, but the building itself seems relatively in decent condition.A few of the windows seem smashed, but other than that it seems fine. The parking lot has a few vehicles inside of it. Mostly Modern-era cars, but the center portion of it has a large hut mad of straw and clay and the asphalt parking lot fades to sand around it. There were humans just sort of milling about with blank looks on their faces. At first, they appeared fine, but a half dozen or so start wandering in your direction and you all notice some oddities. Their expressions continue to be blank and their lips are a blueish color.

(GM note: zombies aren't going to be something that you fight constantly. It's not a zombie apocalypse, but they seem to be a pretty easy and admittedly 'no brainer' weak first enemy to evade/fight.)

“Zombies. Oh, joy.” Velaelle commented flatly, clearly not excited by what she was seeing. “Most zombies in my home world were slow and stupid. The same seems to be true for these ones here. The real danger will be getting swarmed and surrounded by a large group of them, as they will be able to overwhelm us with sheer numbers. So the question is, do we fight them, or try and evade them? We don't know how many more of them there are nearby...”

“Ah! I knew it! My minions are still alive!” Excited at the sight, the white haired girl lifts one arm in the air, clearly trying to do something.

“To me! Hands and knees! Become my chair!”

    .....

    “...don’t you ignore me.”

The silence hung as she stared, the zombies not responding to her attempts to enscroll them. “Wh...wha? Stupid...I can’t even control these idiots anymore?” Gritting her teeth, she looked at the shamblers before looking more confused.

“Are these not mine? It’s hard to tell them apart. I guess, that would’ve been too much to hope for. But...now what? Told you, these people were probably dead already.” The girl went back from ranging to completely ridiculous to almost unbelievably bitchy effortlessly. Standing straight, taking a breath, she focused inward as she thought.

“Well. I tried controlling them and that didn’t work. I guess all we can do now is cry.”

Seeing the "demon god's" antics, Cybele sighed. "Well, there goes our option of evading them." She said as she summons one spear, "I think it's better if we deal with them here and now, rather than wait for their friends to join them." She added in an excited tone, already getting into a fighting stance. Which causes skimpy clothing to tightly cling onto her curves even more.

'Why would anyone spend so much time twisting metal in such a manner?' Valenya thought to herself as they came upon the chain-linked fence. 'It serves no purpose.'

The building seemed to be made of stone, but not any stone she'd ever seen before. It was polished and smooth yet not like the rocks she had pulled from river beds when she was a girl. She had to stop and ponder at its construction upon seeing it. The flat road seemed alien to her, so accustomed was she to uneven terrain; she'd never seen the black asphalt before and it in fact hurt her feet through her boot. She was about to move onto the dirt sections of the ground when she spotted the figure moving towards them.

They were clad strangely with dirty attire and Val wondered at the fashion of these people. But it was their faces that caused a chill to run up her spine. They were blue-gray and looked like the deceased. Their eyes fixed on her yet still seemed black and devoid of emotion

The others were talking, specifically the white haired erratic woman, but it was when the sorceress summoned a spear and dropped into a combat stance that Valenya took action. She readied her bow, drew an arrow and loosed it at the nearest... what had the others called them?... Zombie!

Val Launches a preemptive attack at the first Male Zombie and rolls a 1d20(+3)=13 vs its defense roll of 1d20)+0) = 8 dealing 5 points of damage to it.

Velaelle, Vier, Valleirea, and Cybele still have to take their turns before the zombies do.

You all notice an odd red shimmer appear where Val's arrow collides. The zombie clearly flinches and groans in pain, but the shot does not pierce its flesh and lands onto the ground.

Seeing Valleria's failed attempt at controlling the... zombies(?) worried Vier a bit for a reason he could not put his finger on, especially considering how quickly she seemed to give up afterwards. The creatures certainly looked (and smelled, even from this distance) like the depictions of undead that he had seen in some movies and comics. And given the group of zombies was headed for them, he was not interested in finding out if they actually ate brains.

Taking a look around for something to grab as a makeshift weapon, and pausing to admire Cybele's ass in her attire, he shouted out, "Aim for the head! That's what usually kills a zombie best!"

"... Not sure it's because of a forcefield around the rest of the body but STILL!"

(Newest rolls are apparently at the bottom, which seems like a stupid way format, but the second roll confirms the dice aren't tweaked somehow. My roll really was just 20.)

"H-hey! Hold it! Sit down right now and be good!" The little brat tried to make commands, but saw the zombie horde advance closer and she glowered. The white haired witch began to pout...but her face began to glare harder and harder, until it became a straight growl at the shambling corpses and she adjusted herself. "Guess we're doing it the hard way then."

Nobody was paying enough attention to witness it in full glory, but there was the sounds of magic crackling and then, the young witch was replaced by....it was her. The same white hair and red eyes. But...older. And...more mature looking. Her...personality seemed as large as ever, but it was nothing to the other changes. Floating just a couple inches off the ground, her wingspan let out in fully glory, the sight of blood red horns on her head clearly visible. There was no mistaking it. Despite all of her nonsense and idiocy, it was really true.

"You didn't really think that a lord of hell would be just a silly little girl, did you?"

The low tones of her amused laughter, starkly contrasted the girl that was in her place before. Valleria still didn't look that serious about fighting them. Her face held a slight smile as if this was nothing to be worried about, as if this was just a game to her. The bat-like wings behind her began to beat as she moved into a gliding dash for maximum speed as she outstretched her claw to rip into the closest enemy.

"The head?" Cybele repeated, lunging at the closest zombie. She jabs the tip of her spear right on the monster's forehead, before jumping back to see if it had any effect.

Vier manages to find a metal pole that was jutting out of a pile of rubble. It appears to be a piece of rebar from the concrete and will definitely work as a makeshift weapon. Since the GM is feeling generous, you'll still get a chance to attack the Zimbles.

Valleria dashes forward and clutches at Female Zombie 3 with her claws with an aggressive attack (1d20+1)= 21 vs its defense roll of (1d20+0) =...3. The same red shimmer appears to hinder you momentarily. It doesn't feel so much as a barrier to you as a conversion of kinetic force into some kind of energy that transfers into the body. However, the reaction doesn't last long before you rip through it and destroy the zombie.

Cybele lunges at Male Zombie 4's head with her spear with a (1d20+5)=21 The Spear rips through any resistance against its defense of (1d20+0)=7 and the corpse collapses into a...corpse.

Female Zombie 3 is dead, Male zombie 4 is dead, Male Zombie 1 has taken 5 points of damage.

Velaelle and Vier still have to make an attack before the Zombies turn.

Taking a test swing with his pipe Vier sees the injured zombie and decides to try and finish off that one so the stronger fighters don't have to waste time on a straggler. With an intense but less than intimidating sounding roar, he charges forward, aiming for Male Zombie 1's head like he was trying to bust open a watermelon with a bat (1d20+1)=20.

“Depends on the type of zombie. In some cases it does not matter where you hit it.” Velaelle noted as she raised her hand and sent a number of arcane bolts towards the nearest undamaged zombie. Each one was weak, but together they would do significant damage... she hoped.

with a (1d20+1)=20 swing of his rebar against Zombie 1's head with a defense roll of (1d20+0)=8, Vier easily manages to finish off the zombie with his swing.

The arcane bolts launch forward and collide with Female Zombie 4's body at(1d20)+4=20. However, the zombie seems to be to be a bit more lucky though with a defense roll of (1d20+0)=16. The corpse flinches and twists, but manages to maintain her upright manner with only 4 points of damage being done.

With the players' turn finished, it's time for the remaining 5 zombies to go. Two go for Cybele, and one go for Val, Valleriea, and Vier each. The two male zombies approach Cybele and claw at her with (1d20+1)=14 and (1d20+1)=21 vs her defense rolls of (1d20+1)= 3 and (1d20+1)=18 respectively. The first zombie shambles in and somehow manages to get past her defenses to bite down on her shoulder. The same red ripple engulfs Cybele at the surprisingly devastating blow. Cybele feels the zombie's teeth penetrate her flesh. She pushes him back to inspect the damage, but finds her body to be unharmed beyond the pain she felt from the blow. While distracted, the other zombie manages to claw at her clothing to a similar effect, but significantly less damage. She takes 11 and 3 points of damage from each attack dropping her hp down to 6

The Female Zombie 1 attacks Val for (1d20+1)=13 vs her defense roll of (1d20+0)= 11. The Female Zombie manages to punch Val in the stomach. It winds her a little, but at only 2 points of damage it could have been worse. However, the wave of red energy sparks all the same from the damage caused.

The Female Zombie 2 attacks Valleriea for (1d20+1)=4 vs her defense roll of "She literally can't be hit by a roll that low"

The Female Zombie 4 strikes out at Vier for (1d20+1)=19 vs Vier's (1d20+4) = 14. Vier gets slashed by the zombie across the chest for 5 points of damage, but he notices the same effects the others are. The pain and feeling of taking the injury followed by the apparent lack of physical harm.

This is the part where I would post updated images with the battle damage, but here's the cliff notes because I'm already running close to being late for work:

Female Zombie 3 is dead, Male zombie 4 is dead, and Male Zombie 1 is dead. Female Zombie 4 is injured with 6 hp left.

Male Zombie 2 and 3 are attacking Cybele and Cybele is down to 6hp.
Female Zombie 1 is attacking Val who is down to 33hp
Female zombie 2 is failing to attack Valleriea
Female Zombie 4 is attacking Vier who is down to 25 hp

    It's now the players turn.

I think I got that right, but I also don't have enough time to check my math, so I'll see you this evening after work.
