[Alexander's intent here is to check the room for bugs/listening devices/cameras (police skills I guess). He would also like to see if there are any peepholes going somewhere into the room or bathroom, having watched Hitchcock's Psycho a few too many times to not be paranoid in a rundown American motel.] Alexander looked around the room and was appalled, he'd have to talk to the young girl about the state of this place. He put down his pack next to the bed nearest to the door. 'Scheiße, what a dumb!' he called to Sarah. He sighed. Sarah just shrugged and plobbed down on the bed furthest from the door. 'If you don't mind, I'll have a quick nap, Alexander. You have that shower you wanted.' She quickly got comfortable and drifted off. Being as quiet as he could, Alexander had a look in the bath [presumably totally filthy] and then searched the room and bathroom for listening devices, cameras and peep holes. Whether his search was successful or not, he went back out again but left the lights in the main room and in the bathroom on. Returning to Erica, he gave her a wave and leaned on the counter again, 'I'm really sorry for bothering you again, Erica, but: are you aware about the state of room № 1? It's positively filthy.' he held his hand up before she could say anything, 'Now before you start, I'm not saying that is your fault: you're only here on weekends and the desk clerk. It's really your cleaning personnel that's taking your father for a ride if they get any money at all for their work.' He suggested, 'Maybe I could have a look at room № 2? If were are the only customers it shouldn't make a difference which one we stay in.' He pulled out fifty US dollars, 'I'll even give you the price for the night as collateral for the second key.' Looking through the bathroom, you find that compared to the rest of the room, it's not that bad. It's probably likely that whoever cleans the room knows that it's harder to hide filth on white and actually seemed to have put some effort in cleaning in. Looking around, you don't see anything that would imply that there's any devices, cameras, or peepholes to eavesdrop on you. After you finish with your complaints, she shuffles off her stool. "You don't have to pay extra for the room, but i'm going to have to go with you. If it turns out that you prefer Room 2 over Room 1, then you can move over and we can switch the key out." Erica goes back into the back again and comes out a moment later with a key and leads you to the motel room becide yours. She turns the lock and enters and lets you look through it as well. She stands just inside the door and watches you as you examine the room. This one....is pretty much just as bad.
Looking at the teenage girl, Alexander looked dejected and shrugged, 'C'est la vie, this one is no better. Thank you for being so understaning and indulging me, Erica.' He smiled at Erica, 'Anne is already kinda settled in over there so we'll just stay in that one.' Leaving again and letting Erica lock the door, he said, 'Will your father be around sometime? I think I'd like to have a word with him about the state of disrepair in his business.'
"Probably not. He's not going to be in town for the rest of the weekend" she locks the door and pockets it. "I-It's usually not the cleanest. We don't get enough traffic and don't really make enough money to afford a professional cleaner. My dad doesn't care that much and I can't really do it on my own..." She awkwardly clutches her arm as you two discuss the state of the business.

How long do you have to keep the desk open, if I may know?'

Alexander checks his wrist watch for the current time, 'I'll see you later then, Erica. Until then, don't die from boredom.' He winked at her and let her go back to the office. Going back to Sarah and Alexander's room, he grabbed a few utensil and a change of clothes out of his pack and went to the bathroom. After showering and brushing his teeth, he exited the bath and pondered what to do. [Need the time to decide what's next.]
Silas and Mira manage to a safe-ish clearing that seems like it would be a good place to lay up overnight. However, any hopes of being able to see any kind of gathering in the forest gets dashed pretty quickly as the hilly region makes line of sight difficult. (It's probably a little after 7. When they founded fine place to camp, she take down her backpack and get out sleeping bag. "It look like in that darkness we won't see anything. If you have no other ideas, I suggest to wait for morning. "
Erica is fiddling on her phone when you walk in and looks up as you ask her the question. "I can finish the rest of my homework tomorrow. As for a diner...There's one about half a mile(That's about 1km for you non-americans) down the road."

Sarah wakes up from her nap as Alexander finished his bath, and leaves the room. She blinks a few times, letting her eyes adjust to the light. Surveying the room, Sarah stands up and heads for the bathroom to wash her face. After she leavesmtheir room, and looks for Alexander.
Alexander smiled at her, 'Great, thanks! Can I get you something too? Coffee? Tea? Donut? It's my treat for being so patient with me.'
Mira offer him one biscuit, and eat another one. "Did you need some help with camouflage? If not, I will go sleeping. " She undress hersellf to underwear and get into sleeping bag on death leaves. She put her bag under head, and still have with hersellf knives and mobile Phone. "It is three mouths since I last time sleeping in the fresh air, Silas. You know how do this things?"
