[The nun is still alive, but she will be in mortal peril if no one takes action to save her.] Yumi gives Adam a look. "I will search the room. This way I am doing something useful, if I cannot trade in secrets." She walks to the other side of the study, unamused.
Hearing her partner's voice, "Ah!" Felicia couldn't help but let out an excited gasp, making her hurriedly look around, and basically trash Angelica's room in an attempt to look for her deck. Only to find nothing, "Nnnnh, he's here, I know it." The red-head grumbles, "Help me search around, I don't care if we have to turn this room upside down!" She exclaimed, renewing her search as Dinah shares what she knows. "Chronomancy... chrono... so time? You mean to stay that barrier of yours stops time?" She asked in a curious tone, furthering her belief that they were simply cosplaying as nuns, as she's never heard of any nun using magic or alchemy.
Adam kneels down, tearing at the nun's habit to make a bandage and staunch the blood flow. When he's confident that she's no longer critical, he looks up at Julia, standing. @Arachna Julia's surprised as her student grabs her by the shoulders, standing to his full height and looking down at her. "What the fuck was that?" He whispers angrily, his grip not painful, but still firm. "Why did you try to interfere in my duel? Did you think I couldn't handle it? Allez vous faire! I'm not a Goddamned child anymore, Julia!" He breathes softly, gaze piercing at her, their lips seperated by just a few millimetres of empty air. "Sorry." He releases her, looking away. "Let's make sure this chick isn't going to bleed out, and get a move on. I'm sick of this fucking place." @AnonYMooseBoG "Let's get this over with." Adam moves over to Yumi, once he's confident the nun no longer needs help.
[Fate really doesn't want her to get her deck back.] Spoiler: Perception Roll 24+20=44 weak fail After a more thorough search also turns up nothing, Felicia hears the voice growl. Under the floor. "Yes." Dinah nods as Michio practically rips the bed apart. "It's my strongest spell. It can only affect a small area, but it's very useful." "Found the dick!" The eyepatched woman laughs, tossing a pink dildo underhand at the others across the room.
(I mean, with a protective dragon steering her to the right path, and a horny insect god telling her to go have sex. Seems like fate knows what it wants.) "Under the... floor?" Felicia tries to search for false floor board, stomping around to find a hollow area. While Dinah explained her specialty, and Michio finds a dildo. "A-ahh! What are you doing throwing around something so... so filthy!" Her prudish nature gets the better of her, blushing as she shakes her head. "It's under the floor, help me look for a secret compartment or something." She grumbles, using her anger to hide her embarrassment at seeing Angelica's adult toy.
The improvised bandage will hold for a time, but better care will be needed before long if Adam wants the girl to survive. [Giving Arachna a chance to respond before bringing Yumi back over.]
Her mouth opened, but nothing came out. Even though so far she had been able to take just about everything in stride, she was not prepared for this. There was no response. While she somewhat tried to focus, getting the sense something was seriously wrong, mentally she was still more focused on these mood swings she hadn’t seen before even if she was aware it isn’t how he really is. As he calmed down, she gave a slight nod. “I thought shadow games were a bit different than what you might have been through.” Her voice was a lot quieter than before. Not saying much more, she went over the girl to see if she would be able to treat her injuries….though only really focused on distracting herself from the situation. “Let’s do what we can and then rejoin the rest before they do something stupid.”
"It's just a dildo. I know you're a virgin, but you aren't that sheltered, are you?" Michio teases. Dinah picks up the fake cock, undisturbed by the object. "I might be able to locate her with this, especially if she's used it recently. Do you want me to try?" Spoiler: Perception Roll 23+20+10(situational-knowing where to look)=53 weak success Felicia finds a hollow spot under the desk, but there is no obvious means of accessing the presumed hiding place.
"S-shut up about that!" Felicia replied in an embarrassed tone, her cheeks turning as red as her hair. Unintentionally answering Michio's question. Though she wasn't sheltered, she was too engrossed with the game to even think about relationships. Then as Dinah asks, "You can... do that? I mean, alright, sure give it a shot." Felicia replied, finally spotting the hollow spot. "Where is... hey, Dinah, before you use your magic, I don't suppose you brought your flail, did you?" She asked not even bothering to look for a way to access it, and instead just break it open.
@Tjf "There are many books you might be interested in, Professor Meri. Most of them concern magic. One claims to be able to teach eromancy, of all things. Is this real too?" Yumi asks, rejoining the others once Adam retrieves her. The nun, face drained of color and personality far removed from the mocking woman she was, painfully forces herself to her feet.
Hearing Yumi’s question, Julia thought for a moment. “There’s a chance. But there’s also an equally strong possibility of it either just being either made up or a scam. Weeding out what seems true from all the other bullshit is a bit difficult even for people who study these things. Though, if we find anything that looks interesting here, it’s safe to assume they were looking into it for a reason.”
Dinah pulls her flail from it's place at her hip. "Of course." With an overhead swing, the nun smashes the floor under the desk. Splinters of wood fly everywhere, but Felicia finally sees her cards sitting in a pile. Spoiler: Perception Roll 26+20=46 weak fail As she looks into the hole, she also sees a small stack of yen.
The wounded nun shakes her head no. "I can barely stand." She coughs fitfully. "We do-" More coughing. "-have a healer. Diana. She should be somewhere here." "Well, I'm keeping this one on eromancy." Yumi smiles slyly. "We should take whichever else will be useful. Perhaps there's one on healing magic? Or we can look for this Diana."
“I don’t think you really need it. Though it might be helpful as a kind of stepping stone into more mental magic. I might want to peek at that when you’re done with it. Not my thing, but there might be something educational. You never know.” Julia gave a smirk, eyeing Yumi. “Not like I need the help to get what I want.” Hearing the idea, Julia decided to might as well search for this book on healing magic. “Magic to repair the body sound a little risky to me.” Julia was relatively confident that while she was no doctor, she did know enough about science she might be able to get some use of it if she tried. Magic would likely take care of a lot the more technical aspects. In theory. Wouldn’t know until she tried.
@Tjf Spoiler: Perception Roll 66=66 success It doesn't take Julia long to find a book which teaches the basics of healing magic, a subset of the larger field of biomancy. Spoiler: Research Roll 89+10(Intelligence)+10(Sorceress)=109 crit. success She is able to find and comprehend a basic flesh-knitting spell which should close the nun's wound. Adam's new servant will still require a doctor, but the magic will buy her more time and ease the pain.
Julia seeing the somewhat impressive collection was a little disappointed she wouldn’t have time to read them all. But finding what she needs, she was quick to thumb through it. Fortunately, she at least had the basic biology knowledge and experiences with magic to pick up the idea of it pretty quickly. Letting out a few humming sounds, she did flip through pages fairly quickly before closing it. “I think I got it. It’s really just accelerating cellular regeneration in a targeted area, a few tricks here and there. So….” Julia was confident she had the right idea, but less confident was her actual ability to apply it, but she placed her palm on the wound, uttering some words. Albeit, if seemed to be just a list of all the foreign swear words she knows. Regardless, she attempted to make the performance look a little more interesting as she attempted to put the spell into practice.
@Tjf Spoiler: Spell Roll 34+10(Sorceress)+10(Research roll)=54 weak success Using a form of magic she is unfamiliar with proves very taxing. The nun's spear wound slowly closes, sapping energy from Julia to do so. By the time the spell is finished, the professor is physically and mentally exhausted, but the cultist should be able to last at least a few days without expiring. The injuries to the girl's internal organs will require more treatment, but perhaps further study of the book, paired with practicing the spells, would yield a method of healing those as well.
"Well, don't overtax yourself." Adam sighs to the girl. "I hardly need help in that subject." He smirks to Yumi. "But maybe I should have a look at that book too, sometime?" As the professor casts her healing spell, Adam puts a hand on her shoulder, far more gentle than last time. "You okay? You look drained. You don't have to continue if you're not up to it." He speaks with concern in his voice. @AnonYMooseBoG After hearing whether Julia's up to continue, Adam moves further into the building, looking to find the nun's leadership and end this.
Julia took a deep breath after seeing the results, stumbling for a moment, but catching herself. "Well, that's a new one." Forcing a smile, she looked to Adam and then gave a nod. "For using occult eldritch powers that I just learned ten minutes ago, I'd say I'm doing pretty good." Even though she said that, she could still feel the weigh in her body, a little heavier and her spiritual sense a bit dulled. This was a lot more straining than her usual uses. Still, she held the book, aiming to keep it for later. Once she got the proper hang of it, these powers would definitely prove useful. Hearing his suggestion though, she shook her head and forced herself up. "I don't think we can just walk back out that easily even if I was planning too. But I don't think I'm the one who should be worried."
