"That's not a problem. We weren't talking about anything important." Julia didn't mind too much if she showed up late if she was still trying to get to class regardless. Seeing her up close, she was actually fairly cute. She could see why Yumi enjoyed having her.
As she waited for the girl to take her seat, Julia wasn't expecting to sense anything here, but she was always going to do her own thing anyway.
"Well, history's been around for a long time. It's not going anywhere. And I want to start off today pretty light, so we won't get into the overly complicated stuff, so...while I have you here, I'll debrief you a bit of my optional class of learning the lore of the game. I don't know which of you are taking it, but why not sign up for it? Sounds like an easy credit, doesn't it?" Julia was always happy to incentivize students to take an interest even if they weren't ones critical to any higher goals yet.
"In the earliest era, the land was split into multiple tribes, constantly at war with each other. Through all the conflict, many tribes wiped each other out and little record is left of everything that happened, but it's believed that the rise of a powerful empire that's no longer remembered, led to the alliance of four of the greatest tribes. All of them were prideful and isolationist, but the threat of extinction joined them together under a coalition."
"X-Saber, led by the swordmaster Gottoms."
"Then there was the people of the Mist Valley. The Executor of the Mist Tribe's name is forgotten, I'm afraid."
"Flamvell, led by lord Uruquizas"
"The lost tribe of the Ice Barrier, led by the Great General Grunard."
"These four tribes would join to form the Allies of Justice to repel the invading horde." As Julia spoke, she knew most students would likely be bored, but she figured bringing this up other than just being fun for her would let her properly read facial expressions of which ones think this might potentially relate to them in some way. Reading spirits was difficult in such a crowd, but it didn't take as much to try and read a reaction from any of them that might be thinking about what kind of cards they use.
Julia can her her phone buzz and while she only had time to sneak a peek at it, she was somewhat relieved that Adam didn't seem to make a big deal of it. Though, she couldn't etch out a response yet while trying to at least somewhat teach a class.
