Daylan Really Really Experienced CHYOA Backer

Yuuto's eyes tried to follow her hands wherever they touched, his skin growing goosebumps despite how warm her touch was. He felt his body being manipulated... and just could not bring himself to fight her commands, especially once she pressed herself against his back and all but whispered what she wanted him to do in his ear.

The sudden increase of heat and desire almost alarmed him... until it unleashed the magical power she had been goading out of him. His jaw dropped as he recognized the magic that had come from him, even though he had never really let it go as hard as that before and had to close his eyes for the moment from the blinding glare. At her words, he shifted slightly to look up at her in confusion and tried not to shiver too much in pleasure at the feel of her breasts rubbing against more of his back and side as he did so.

"Not meant to be the hero"? What did that mean? Beijon had always talked like he was unquestionably the hero (if still in training) but now Yuuto wondered if his friend had not, or could not, told him the whole story.

The impact forces enough of a shock to snap the researcher out of it, pulling herself up, a little weakly, but enough to start to stand, taking a look at the slime girl, clearly hesitating if she should leave her behind, but apparently resolving she wouldn't be off too much use here and starting to run. The vampire plant however, has no interest in letting it's prey go and it's vines shoot across the ground, only blocked off by Gooberilla.

A couple of the tentacled vines simply tinged against the hard impact against steel metal, incapable of breaking the slime's armor. The few tentacles that managed to slip between the armor managed to enter the slime's body. But it wasn't as if they hit any sensitive spots, pushing through the slime girl, greatly slowed by the sludge like barrier much like someone trying to run in water. It left them falling short of their intended target, not able to snag her ankle like it intended to pull the professor and returning it's vine's back into itself. Gooberilla realized that the range of these vines would be much further than her own sword attacks would be able to reach. While they couldn't really do much harm to break the slime's armor, the few it shot at through the slime were more just annoying and ticklish than actually threating. After a few minutes of this, the plant's eye locked back on Gooberilla as every single one of it's heads perked up and roared. It was obviously getting frustrated with it's inability to attack the slime.

The eye locked on the slime, with the same pinkish look, then blinked. The intensity of the glow dulled, becoming more broken up, and it blinked repeatedly, the pink color of it's mesmerizing stare starting to break apart, but the strange staring to break into circles, translucent pink spheres of mystical vampire energy that could be seen glowing inside the vampire beast's skin, as the spheres started to melt, flowing like blood and surging inside a couple of it's vines with the hypnotic power. Then it shot the magically imbued vines at the slime. A couple of them struck her armor harmlessly, but in between trying to defend against the flurry, there was a brief moment where one of them got lucky at striking one of her hips between the armor, the vine pushing inside the membrane as the strange energy started to flow and began to seep inside the slime's body, all of the pink bubbling up inside of the slimes body. She could feel her body start to slow again, but not as much as the direct stare was doing, but it also was making it a little difficult to stay focused. It would be so nice just to relax....

While it hadn't managed spreading it's contact hypnosis completely, the slime could only guess what would happen if it managed to make proper contact with all of them. This was obviously a monster above any imps or goblins she had faced. Yet...her trained skill with swords made her good at seeing the weak point in enemy stances. It wasn't exactly easy with a plant monster to tell, but she could see it. With so many different trashing limbs and snapping parts, it would be easy to miss, but just rooted ever so slightly underneath the plant looked like two thicker and healthier roots that it actually wasn't using to attack. Those must be important if it's keeping them away from any risk involved. The slime's holy training as a paladin began to tinker in the brain remembering what she knew about the undead. Vampires regenerated from almost everything other than holy magic, the sun, or having their heart staked. It was hard to tell, but if she had to take a guess, those were being shielded by it's petals from natural sunlight for a reason. Possibly the closest the plant had to what could be equated to a heart. The question was, would that be enough? Or would it even work for that matter? And at this rate, could she even manage getting close to it?

Mogmak yelps and chuckles, enjoying the feeling of his length. "I think you enjoy me being naughty, big guy."

The attacks had hurt her even if the plant's attacks could've done more. Goobriella spent her time cautiously conserving her mana as she pulled on the reservoir to cast Heal and Buff spells. Every second she lasted add to the time that miss Cross could use to escape, or figure out another solution. With how vigorous the vampire weed was as it thrashed and thrusts with its vines, then that solution would likely involve violence. All that science stuff made her brain ache and sent it spinning. Violence, that she could do, however.

Goobriella had to reconsider her strategy as the vines began to glow again, feeling the bubbly happiness that dimmed her thoughts suffusing her body more. Her pained groans became giggles, somehow hurting less and less whenever she was struck. It made her feel nice. The vibrations sent through the sword as she parried another vine made her arm wobble. Wobble. She giggled again. Then she shook the worst of the sluggishness off, adopting a determined expression. Focus, Goobriella. You can last a while longer before you become a complete mess. A knight never falters! Not when all those impolite scientists and Cross is relying on you.

Vampires had hearts. Plants didn't. Plants also didn't have animalistic heads with rows of sharp teeth. So logic clearly didn't apply, so it had to have a heart somewhere. And Goobriella was good at guessing. But that required her to get close, and as she wove between a pair of verdant tentacles with a pink tint, that sounded easier than it actually was.

Didn't mean she wouldn't try. First, she had to do something about the mesmerism. She rushed forward, holding the pommel against the palm of her gloved hands ready it to force it inside the eye with all the power she could muster. Even if she had to weave, roll, or crawl, Goobriella was determined to reach her target. The detented and old but nonetheless sturdy blade was coated in a reddish sheen as she cast Drain Magic, hoping to drain and disrupt the spell, at least for the moment. Vampires had natural regeneration, but she had never heard that apply to their mana, and considering her own depleting stores then taking some from the weed sounded perfect.

Likely it would only be the first of many such hits, but Goobriella prepared herself to go the distance, even if her movements felt a little more viscous than before.
