Alright I made a thing. I decided to go with the quality of my follower then rather than having a bunch of smaller ones, since I can just get them later. I want to see how expensive he would be first.
Okay, first the avatar - is okay. Only thing - nature of spells is that they are temporary, so: Golem spell would summon golem only temporarily. For lasting one, special actions would need to be taken. Enchanting - only temporary and so on. Golem follower cost attributes- Physical: 20 = 10+10+15 Mental: 10 = 10 Social:5 = 5 total atributes = 500 Racial skill: stone wall - cost 200 (it would make him very durable) Skills: total cost + 400 Savage Warrior(2): Excels with fighting with their barehands - 200 Intimidate: Most enemies really, really, do not want to fight this thing and lose morale easily. - 100 Flight-Despite his natural density and bulk, he's capable of taking off gliding in strong currents - 100 (Note: actual flight would cost more) Feats: cost -100 Lustful-Safiyah may have managed to make him just a little bit too lifelike Prideful-While skilled, is prone to overestimating their own abilities and can be easily goaded when challenged. cost: -100 Equipment: Stone Claws(Powerful and magically reinforced making them dangerous weapons) 200 Poisoned Claws(Tips produce a natural poison) please specify the nature of poison. weakening lust will cost 100, deathly 300
Kay. I assumed most were temporary which is why is partly why Raveeng stands out from other golems. Total point cost remaining 1500...so I still have a decent budget for my super golem. I might give him actual flight to lower my starting points a bit and maybe try to think of something else that might be good. Maybe I could add darkvision? He'll probably need like maybe one or two other things to be useful since he can't really equip any proper weapons or armor himself. I was thinking Safiyah might be able to reinforce him later though it will be resource heavy. I might need to rethink enchanting though for some other tier 3 magic power. How about: Echolocation-Has the ability to navigate through the use of vibrations and sounds Conditioning- Built explicitly to only like Safiyah, and is resistant to being turned against her Magically wired reflexes: Reacts faster in combat than his size would lead people to believe. And depending on what that totals out to, maybe I'll upgrade him to proper flight. And for equipment, maybe something like: Runic Works: Cold Shielding-adds a layer of resistance to water/ice based attacks That should keep him pretty useful for having no actual armor or weapons. Not sure what to do for a tier three spell to replace enchanting though.
Hmm. Kind of like a ghost like state(Still affected by magic) but enabling someone to move through walls and terrain while it lasts. Maybe not. Just kind of having trouble thinking of what a useful spell is. I was kind of thinking of a sand/earth control thing, but I'm not sure if utility magic is allowed or it needs to be specific in what it does. Also it would help to know what the total cost would be of adding in the things above for my gargoyle.
I looked at dnd. Most of the suggested spells are okay I guess, if not just a little bit boring. But some practical ones. Except they go into being combined with a bunch of other mechanics that don’t really matter for this format. I guess invisibility would be the thing to go with?
Alright. Just need to now the final results on my follower after adding a few things and what I should get rid of and then I'll be ready.
Echolocation-Has the ability to navigate through the use of vibrations and sounds -100 Conditioning- Built explicitly to only like Safiyah, and is resistant to being turned against her -300 Magically wired reflexes: Reacts faster in combat than his size would lead people to believe. -100 You know, move all of the equipment into category racial traits The cold resistance will be 100 - will you not be creating any other followers for now?
Okay. Mathed that all out. Total. 2100. Still have some points to spare, but I'll think I'll leave it as is instead of spending all of them. And yeah. I'm focusing on the quality of my monster to start with. For now, I'll just keep the one. Anyway, unless we need to use all our points, I shouldn't have anything else to add.
I'm starting to see where I might made mistake at the begging - lack of limits. Allowing that free system allows some damn behemoths! Anyway, if you have everything set up, you will only have to decide, why your character landed in new lands, and how she calls/creates new units. That decided, let me know, and we shall begin
@Mazoku Same as with Aura, if you have everything set up, you will only have to decide, why your character landed in new lands, and how he calls/creates new units. That decided, let me know, and we shall begin
Yeah. I’m not going to use all points I could spend. Besides, even with one useful guy, I will still probably want a lot of cannon fodder later. And he’s only an amazing unit if I keep him on my side. Maybe she’s on an assassination mission for the sultanate? For means of communication, maybe a magic hand mirror(needs an activation phrase so can’t just be used by anybody) They might have a hidden location right by the border for building constructs quickly.
Aska is economically not the healthiest country, even if it's better and more stable now with the addition of their cultural exports, so boldly seeking out new veins of resources, potential allies, and lands to exploit. Personal reasons are that Emilie is bored with the current political situation, hoping to see what the parliamentary members come up with in his absence, Alcheamie is her usual sybaritic self and is all for new monsters to fuck and exploring the experiences a foreign land promises, while Reise loyally follows Emilie's lead. And calling new creatures/units, is done by boat. So starting somewhere along an inlet or at the sea, if possible. Since Aura mentioned communication, probably something that Alcheamie/Love Seraphs could handle with some sort of spell or ritual. Otherwise done by the same means as the recruitment of units.
So, a mirror for communications. But in this setting, your characters won't be close enough for instant arrival of the bought units. It will take some time, so maybe a portal, kind of thing, like in moonblack's case?
Okay, just waiting for a sign from your side, when you are finished with fine-tuning your characters, I will introduce them.
