Victoria finished putting on her uniform. A day of rest was something that she needed. Now relaxed, she was returning to duty. As she walked out of her quarters, she meet Patricia. "Captain." The officer greeted her. "Are you well enough?" She asked as the two started making their way to the bridge.
“I'm feeling much better, no need to worry. At least until the next time I catch some unknown decease – hopefully that won't be any time soon...” Victoria reassured her second in command. “What's the situation? How are all the clones that were infected? And how is our guest?”
"Well... the disease seemed to have spread through the entire crew - but not all infected triggered so heavily. We found a cure at the last moment, truly. heightened our general lust... which was already high~ but except that, there were no further complications in health department. You will just see more close fucking around," Patricia said as the duo entered the elevator. "Our guest is still in her quarters. We did not interact with her - with the crisis in our hands and all."
“I hope she's not bored out of her mind, then... but she'll have to wait a bit longer. What's the status on deciphering their language? Is it finished?” Victoria wanted to be able to communicate with their guest before going to see her.
"Yup, finished and ready to be used." Patricia said as the elevator's doors opened, and the two entered the bridge. "What exactly do you want to talk about with the native?" She asked curiously. "Wouldn't it be better if we just set up a base some place away from any natives?"
“The natives are familiar with the area they inhabit. That means they can tell us about any potential dangers or resource deposits. We can also ask them if they have had other unusual visitors. It will be good to know ahead of time if races other than us and the Nyssans have visited them, as such visitors could be a potential threat to us.” Victoria pointed out. “Besides, all the best spots for a base seem to be close to some of the natives. Or was anything new discovered while I was off duty? Any new locations for a base?”
"Not really..." Patricia shook her head. "But the natives could be danger themselves to us." She said with some worry. "What policies towards them are you exactly planning? Uplift? Domination? Neutral?" Patricia asked.
“I don't know yet – that's why I want to learn more about the natives. Once we have a good idea what sort of people we're dealing with here and how dangerous they might be we will be able to make an informed decision and choose the best way to deal with them. Or at least I hope so.” Victoria explained.
"Hm~" Patricia hummed as she took datapad from one of the clones. "That seems like a solid plan." She admitted. For some time she read what was on datapad, before noding her head. "We seem to be operational enough to continue operations." She said after a moment, then looked at Victoria. "Your orders, Captain?" She asked, and the clones present, turned to Victoria, awaiting her orders.
“Well, for starters, I want to check our translation tools and make sure everything's in order. Then we'll go visit our guest and talk to her. We'll start with simple things, in case there are any issues and any difficulties understanding each other. Then we can move on to more important things, such as asking her about her people.” Victoria decided to take things slowly.
"Ay" Patricia nodded her head as she handed Victoria the datapad. As the captain looked at it, it was hard for her to understand the coding, but the general diagnostics showed that the parameters were in order. "This way." Patricia said as the duo started making their way to the guest's quarters... soon, they stood in front of it. "Do you require my assistance?" Patricia sked. "Or should I summon a guard?"
"Yes, ma'am." Patricia said as she waved her hand to the security clones clad in red uniforms. The two clones immediately took stand on either side of the doors. As Victoria and Patricia entered the room, the redskinned female's head quickly snapped in their direction. She quickly walked up to them and fell on her knees, her head touching the floor as she prostrated herself before them.
Alright, here we go... “Can you understand me?” Victoria asked the kneeling woman. “If you can, stand up and face me.” She instructed. It was the first test for their translation tools – time to find out if everything was in order...
"Yes, great one~" The red skinned woman said as she got up. Her voice was low, deep. the translator seemed to be working. The woman stud up, and looked at Victoria with... pride and admiration?
So far so good... Time to find out what we're dealing with here. “What is your name?” Victoria asked and waited for an answer before continuing. “Tell me about yourself and about the tribe you belong to.”
@Tjf "Captain! We have arrived at the coordinates!" AM6 exclaimed. Sonya Belford turned to look at the screen. The image of space was... awe-inspiring. But the fleet was not here. "We are picking several signals! It looks that the fleet scattered around the system." AM9 reported. Sonya looked at the clone... At the clone wearing her face. Sonya was first surprised when she meet the clone made of her own DNA... Another way of Brisk Corporation showing her, that if she screwed up, she was replaceable. She doubted the clones' full loyalty to her... she was not even sure of her officer's loyalty. But... if she managed to secure the corporation's assets, her career might be fixed after that... battle. Corporation gave her several tasks... mainly it was about gaining samples and assets to the corporation, making sure that the corporation will receive the information before the Federation... It was a classic case of conflicting loyalties. But if Sonya wanted to have a career in the Federation, she would need to aid Brisk corporation and betray orders and ideas of the Federation... and not get caught. To gain samples, especially of plants and alien life - anything that might be used as weapons. To gain the local population, to be 'used' as induced/sex servants and cheap labour. Anything that would profit the Brisk Corporation, Sonya was to acquire it to the Corporation...
"This one is called Vekga, oh great one." The woman said while still kneeling. "This one is a simple hunter, from the Liqoit tribe." She paused. "What do you want to know, of our tribe, oh great one?" She asked, perplexed.
“My name is Victoria, and this is Patricia. Nice to make your acquaintance, Vekga.” The captain introduced herself and her second-in-command. “I wish to see how much you know about your own people and the lands you inhabit, so tell me everything you can. How many of you are there, how far do your lands reach, are there any notable locations within your lands, have you made contact with any of the other tribes... I also want you to tell me about your leaders and how they rule the tribe, as well as about your customs, especially anything that is seen as insulting by your people.” (Sorry for the wait, I was feeling like crap for most of today and did not feel like writing anything.)
Sonya gulps at the reminder of her own expendability, but strives to keep calm. Hmm, it's good we're not near other Federation ships - should make it easier to keep out...activities under wraps. "Send out exploration probes - priority should be given to any worlds that are resource rich, or that have signs of intelligent life."
