Help needed from an Italian speaker

Hey everyone. I want to put a couple of lines of dialogue in Italian in one of my stories. I've used Google Translate but I'm pretty sure it's lacking authenticity/idiomatic phrasing.

If anybody wouldn't mind helping me out that would be super appreciated! It's literally three or four sentences, so it shouldn't take much time or effort :)
 
I suppose there's no reason not to put the text down here. The context is my protagonist speaking with her mother, who is giving her a hard time about staying home to study and not coming on holiday.

"Hello darling. You look pale. You should have come."

"Next time, mama. I have been out, at least."

That's it! I am having the characters maintain their conversation but I'm using [square brackets] to indicate the dialogue is to be interpreted as still being in Italian.
