For that particular monster I was heavily inspired by the cockroach-like creatures in the side-scroller Parasite In City, which would attack the heroine... and then she walks around pregnant until...
This thread I just saw, bought the thingy for kindle and love it. The Two Queens ending is my favorite so far. That and where she takes Reemek and the Orks back home to rebuild. Romance books often have just as detailed sex scenes. Normally at least a couple, sometimes a couple more extra. Such as Fashionably Dead. Of course, the story is the focus and thatis where all the romance subgenres come in. For instance, Romance SteamPunk. Anyhow, the 'problem' with sales is more a matter of missed opportunities, instead of lack of interest, believe do I.
I recently discovered a website called www.bookbub.com that helps users find books that they like and where to buy them Amazon/iBooks/et cetera I looked but they failed to have an entry for Princess to Pleasure Slave. So I contacted them and they added it to their list https://www.bookbub.com/books/princ...ngeon-of-the-monster-breeder-by-amanda-clover with a link to the book's profile on Amazon.
I have a question for you hematoma. Your first story "Princess to Pleasure Slave Adventure: The Dungeon of the Monster Breeder" is specifically listed as a choose-your-own adventure story but near as I can tell, none of the others are. Am I correct in assuming that none of the others are written in a CHYOA format?
Hey, thanks for your interest in my work! None of my other Princess to Pleasure Slave books are CHYOAs, but I have several other CHYOA-style books on Amazon. A longer fantasy one called Choose Your Own Erotica Odyssey #1: Escape the Monster Breeding Grounds Also shorts: Your Naughty Playmate 1 - Soapy Bimbo Car Wash Fantasy Your Naughty Playmate 2 - Succubus Fantasy Your Naughty Playmate 3 - Cuckolding Fantasy I have been working on a massive (I am talking longer than War & Peace) totally original adaptation of my story here A Sexy Day in Suburbia for more than a year. It will be out before the end of the year, fingers crossed, but I am currently having some difficulty with Amazon because they don't seem to like non-linear Kindle books. I think people were using links within kindle books to cheat the revenue system and now my CHYOA is paying the price for other people gaming the system. They have actually pulled the book this thread is about and I am engaged in negotiations with them about the fact that I can't put a CHYOA in chronological order. It's rough. We'll see if I can get it reinstated. So get these while you can, because Amazon might pull all CHYOA books next.
Damn that's lame. I just noticed that Princess to Pleasure Slave Adventure: The Dungeon of the Monster Breeder is unavailable for purchase at the moment, with the reason given being "significant quality issues with the source file".
Yeah, it's a shitty thing to even stamp on my book, because the reviews are all extremely positive and it was selling well for more than a year. Their complaints in their email to me are all about chronological ordering. All I can do is plead that making it chronological is impossible and hope someone somewhere at Amazon sees reason.
I shall pray for them to see reason too. Thankfully, I purchased the book a while ago, so it is already on my Kindle app. When I get home next week I will see about writing them a customer complaint for falsely 'slandering' the innovative book. The answer is really rather simple, in my mind at least; That is to only pull the ability to 'sample' the book. If people pay for the entire thing then Amazon should fail to care about how people choose to play it.
Good news! After much back and forth, Amazon finally decided in my favor and Princess to Pleasure Slave Adventure: The Dungeon of the Monster Breeder is available once more without major revisions. I can't say this won't happen again on another CHYOA book, but at least I don't feel like I have wasted the past year of my life writing the one I've been working on! Thanks for the good vibes from everyone.
Congrats and hope everything works out. This is something I have been wondering about for a while. I had seen and played choose your own adventure games on kindle before and many were very high quality. It had crossed my mind that authors of those might take content from here or write here. A idea down the line might be looking into a better way to export stories from chyoa to some form of word/epub/whatever format to make it easier to publish on amazon. Good luck hope sales are good and thanks for opting in to the kindle unlimited program
Everything seems to be working out. So far I have rewritten anything inspired by my own work here just to avoid incorporating someone else's text or ideas in my work. My upcoming Sex Day in Suburbia style book is so different from the one here that it will be a completely new experience with just some familiar sign posts. If one day I ever do post a story from here directly I would preface it so any authors would know that I might be publishing the story elsewhere.
Glad to hear that things are going better. I've been considering writing some short-length stories and publishing on Amazon. Any tips or advice you'd be willing to share about the experience in general?
