    Ok, this thread will be the one in which we generate characters for my new Public RP.

    To start with, let's go over what the five stats mean and how they work in full.

    Body: is all things physical, strength, agility, constitution, etc. Body decides how much you can carry, how long you can hike, how much food you need, etc. Body is the strongest stat in the early, survival-focused, game.

    Mind: mind is all things mental and intellectual, Intelligence, Logic, Reasoning, etc. The Mind stat is used for most engineering, construction, cooking, and other creative tasks. It also is the governing stat for any Psionic powers a character might have. Mind is the strongest stat in establishing a functioning civilization.

    Soul: is all things spiritual and magical: willpower, charisma, wisdom, etc. It is used for controlling yourself or influencing others and almost all magic. Soul is the strongest stat after civilization is established.

    All three of these stats are rated on the following scale:

    1 Inept; infant
    2 Significantly below adult human average; child
    3 Below adult human average; a teenager
    4 Adult human average
    5 Above adult human average
    6 Significantly above human average
    7 Highly capable
    8 Extremely capable
    9 Best in the region
    10 Best in the country
    11 World-class ability
    12 Maximum human potential

    (Yes, for those in the know, this IS stolen from BESM, but we are not using full BESM rules, this is kindof BESM stripped down to it's most basic possible level.)

    Health Points: HP is a measure of a character's physical integrity. If a character's HP is low he is at a significant penalty, suffering a -1 to every stat for each 2 full HP lost. Every character starts out with 7 HP, then gains 1 additional one for every 6 full points of their statistics. For starting characters in this game that means they all have 10 HP.

    Mana Points: MP is a measure of a character's magical reserves. They are regained mostly through sex, but also by getting a good night's sleep, and spent to heal injuries or fule magical powers. Mana Points are calculated identically to Health Points.

    Starting characters in this game have a three in each of the base stats, and 9 points of discretionary stat points they can spend as they wish. Characters can, if they so desire, also reduce one stat by up to 2 points to gain those points to spend elsewhere, however, they must have a minimum of 3 Mind, 2 Soul and 2 Body to engage in sexual activities. (Unless the character is a much smaller than human sizes, such as a fairy, who's Body need-not-be higher than 1.)

    All characters in the game must be human-sized or smaller, or able to assume a human-or-smaller sized form. (This transformation would count as their starting power.)

    Each character gets a special power: this is worked out in this thread or a PM with me in the following way: you propose a power, I then either agree with it, tell you to buff it up, or tone it down, and once I agree with it I assign it a mana cost. In addition to this power, a character may 'self heal' one HP for three mana at any time. The average mana cost we are aiming for is 2 MP.

    Now for some examples of mana costs:
    1 MP: know the direction of magnetic north and south; make any food taste delicious; clean any garment or stain; fire a bolt of cold that will deal 1 HP on a hit.
    2 MP: Create a marker that you can always find your way back to if within 10 miles, (May only have one marker); brew a potion that contains 1 MP with the right ingredients (ingredients must include semen or girl-cum, brewing takes four hours); Produce a set of four glowing orbs that move at your direction within 50 feet; cast an electric shock from your hand that deals 3 HP of damage to whatever you are touching.
    3 MP: Fire a magical bolt of force that will never miss dealing 3 HP of damage; open any mundane mechanical lock; Create a small amount of food and water from nothing; speak a phrase of 25 words or less to someone you know over a distance of up to 50 miles.

    So, could you provide a template we can use for creating a char? Any special restrictions apart from the 10 point stat max and 9 point allowance?
    Also: The name is kinda different now: Iasakitis / Isakaits

    Backstory: Joseph Teal is a former centurion that went and after he was released from service went on to learn combat from many schools of thought: while he was traveling he found himself put on a team of traveling archeologists founded by william teal, his brother: when the archeologists were attacked Joseph did his job and helped protect the crew being captured and held in a cell. while not intelligent and more intuition-based he was able to gather he was on board of some pirates ship and was able to infer he was a slave.

    Effect: by spending an appropriate amount of mana, a human can crossbreed with nearly any sapient creature. Using this power guarantees conception unless something more specific, (such as a personal power or intact condom,) prevents it.
    Cost: variable (1 MP base [bonuses may not reduce the cost below this amount], +1 if the partner isn't warm-blooded,+1 if they don't breath oxygen, +1 if they don't breath gasses, +2 if they are not a compatible breeding gender/gender-identity, +2 if they are not viviparous, +2 if the partner isn't humanoid, +3 if the partner is not in their normal fertile phase*, -1 if the couple is in love with each other, -2 if the couple is [married, handfasted, formally partnered, jumped-the-broom, sealed, part of a stable-polycule/spice, or otherwise in a spiritually binding committed relationship], -3 if the match is 'fated' to produce offspring**, +5 if the characters in question's patron deities disapprove of the match, +10 if the partner does not want to impregnate/be impregnated at this time for any reason.)

    effect: after studying an enemy for 1 round and spending the MP you gain an effective +3 to all stats when using them against the studied opponent. You also know which stat has the best match-up among yours and theirs. If you are totally outclassed with the bonus, you learn that, instead. (You still gain the bonus, though.)

    General Appearance: (Try not to use specific measurements, go with things like 'taller than a minivan', 'shorter than a sports bike', 'thinner than a filing cabinet', or 'wider than a typical office door' instead. For breasts, your best bet is to compare to fruit or other objects of a roughly consistent size, like 'a bowling ball' or 'a granny smith apple'. Penises are the one exception because they are measured so often that accurate reference pics are widely available. )

    Ok, some further details need to be given. A person's species power is decided entirely by me, and for humans, it is this:

    Human Species Power: Cross-Fertile
    Description: Humans will try to fuck almost anything that moves, and, at least on this world, can breed with nearly all of them.
    Effect: by spending an appropriate amount of mana, a human can crossbreed with nearly any sapient creature. Using this power guarantees conception unless something more specific, (such as a personal power or intact condom,) prevents it.
    Cost: variable (1 MP base [bonuses may not reduce the cost below this amount], +1 if the partner isn't warm-blooded,+1 if they don't breath oxygen, +1 if they don't breath gasses, +2 if they are not a compatible breeding gender/gender-identity, +2 if they are not viviparous, +2 if the partner isn't humanoid, +3 if the partner is not in their normal fertile phase*, -1 if the couple is in love with each other, -2 if the couple is [married, handfasted, formally partnered, jumped-the-broom, sealed, part of a stable-polycule/spice, or otherwise in a spiritually binding committed relationship], -3 if the match is 'fated' to produce offspring**, +5 if the characters in question's patron deities disapprove of the match, +10 if the partner does not want to impregnate/be impregnated at this time for any reason.)

    Now with regard to @BladeGod 's proposed personal power, I approve of it in general, and rate it at 3 MP, With the Effect being as follows:

    Effect: after studying an enemy for 1 round and spending the MP you gain an effective +3 to all stats when using them against the studied opponent. You also know which stat has the best match-up among yours and theirs. If you are totally outclassed, (even with the bonus,) you learn that, instead.

    Oh, as a PostScript on the human species ability: if desired, two humans can split the cost of using their species power between them, which makes it easy for, say, a loving lesbian couple to get each other pregnant over a few days and nights of raunchy sex... (In such a case the children will always be daughters...) The higher cost in the case of a remainder in such instances always accrues to the impregnator, not the impregnated, provided they are capable of paying it, but the full cost must be paid somehow.

    Background: Eshe is born in a small village who had been prone to many diseases and plaques brought by the outsiders and animals. Her life changed when her grandmother the elder in the village taught her ancient Afrikan magic.The next morning her grandmother passed away due to what eventually wipe out her entire village. Eshe moved around learning magic through the scrolls of her grandmother to survive alone on the Afrikan plains at first. She built friendships in her travels and enemies. In time she lost the scrolls in a fire a terrorists group launched. The knowledge of magic is deep in her veins. She was able to eliminate those who destroyed her scrolls. In doing so she knew she needed to hide. A few weeks past since the day she used her power against them where she ended up meeting pirates who were in search of unique powers as hers.

    Personal Power: Nature Magic
    Description: Calling on nature to bring animals, plants, or weather events to solve problems.
    Effect: this power is very dynamic, it can call forth many different effects related to nature, such as summoning a heard of phantom bison to trample a foe, or making vines erupt from the ground an entangle an enemy. The one nature related thing that this power cannot do directly is to provide immediate food, especially not by killing wild animals or luring game to be hunted, though it can do things like sprouting crop seedlings that will grow into food plants over several days. It can also provide water, by summoning a rainstorm.
    Cost: 5 MP.

    Backstory:
    Alvilda is a shield maiden, a warrioress of the Norse people. Through hardship and pain, she earned the respect of her peers.
    Some say, her grandmother was a valkyrie and her innate power to heal the wounded is evidence enough for many.
    Her ability made her a welcome sight in any raiding party and it was on one of those raids that her ship sank in a storm.
    Nearly certain to perish in the icy waters of the northern sea, she was rescued by a strange light in the clouds above.

    Ok, @unisol_gr44 I like the character concept, but the Touch of Freja power is too strong, healing others would take more energy per point than healing yourself.

    Just change the mana cost then. X+6 (so 4 max heal with 10 mp) or X*2+3 (3 max heal with 10 mp)?
    I could also make it a magic transfer instead of healing? That could be useful.

    (Though I would point out that Valkyrie are choosers of the slain, not the living...)

    I'm not sure, but let's not worry about it. Maybe she's the daughter of someone who was given one of Freja's golden apples or something, you never specified she was ACTUALLY part Valkyrie.

    you could bestow courage or hope in your allies as that was also a function of valkeries among the warriors who saw them that didn't die, or you pick some enemy to be able to hurt more as the valkeries also fought alongside some of the gods

    Can I have it on different levels? Weather as the highest at 5MP, calling animals at 4MP, and plants at 3MP

    Otherwise all looks good for my character.

    In a note not directly related to any existing discussions, we are now waiting on one more player who has expressed concrete interest to have their character finalized before we can start, but are still on track for a launch time of tomorrow afternoon.
