"I presume that we have been chosen for a certain endeavor or multiple of such." I walk out of the elevator and sit down in a location that I can see and speak with everyone unimpeded. "It would explain the Black Cards, the spontaneousness of the summons, and presumably the tests we had to go through to get here. What that task may be, is beyond my knowledge." I turn to Cera and the other lady who has yet to introduce themselves. I give a gentle bow of my head towards them. "Good afternoon Ladies, you may call me Dromani."
As her eyes roam over the newcomers. "Carmen Leroux." she introduces herself briefly, then closes her eyes, content to listen to the newcomers' conversation.
Shensten(Generic): Vrakin steps on the circle and the glow absorbs him as he vanishes. Carmen(Majus)+Cera(Moonblack)+Dromani(Merkos)+Kralthanlaghan(Nemo): Introductions seem a little tense but the sudden sounds of magic is enough to grab all of your attention to see the body of kobold fall through the ceiling and hitting the ground with a heavy thud. The kobold is clearly breathing though grits his teeth. "...it's safe. Kind of." He mutters while pulling himself off the floor. OOC:Not really a lot to expand on as of the moment.
“Nice to meet you.” Cera says to Carmen and Dromani once they have finished their brief introductions. She then turns her attention to the only person who has not yet introduced herself. But before the dragon woman can say or do anything there's the sound of magic... Cera blinks a couple of times as some random kobold she has never seen before seems to fall through the ceiling. Well, that was weird... “What is safe? Were you testing some sort of teleportation device? Who are you?” She asks after the kobold gets up. (OOC: Almost overlooked the fact that Kralthanlaghan didn't actually introduce herself, so Cera and Carmen should not know her name yet.)
(Sorry about the late reply, I make no excuses.) Kraltha-Tan is about to introduce herself when the falling Kobold inturupts... "Indeed Hands-Kin, what is 'safe'? And in what lexicon do you call falling in the midst of an unknown party far stronger than yourself 'safe'?" Kraltha asks. EDIT: (In case it's not clear Kraltha is holding the elevator...)
Seeing that Vrakin was not consumed by fire and torn to pieces, Shesten motions the rest of the group forwards. He'll go first, in case there's some kind of limit on passengers... should have thought of that earlier...
Shensten(Generic): Stepping in through the light, is almost an unreal fast process even for magic. It doesn't even feel like you moved or your body went anywhere but as soon as you blink, the sights of walls are clear. As well as the fact that you seem a lot closer to the ceiling than you should be. The rest of your kobold's along with you seem a bit confused of their whereabouts as they plummet to the ground. Kralthanlaghan(Nemo): The kobold mostly ignores you as the light shines yet again and a whole group of the creature fall face first except for one who manages landing on their feet. Just from initial impressions it's evident that one is the leader. All: "Acceptable party numbers reached." The voice of unclear origins echoes as the black door seems to shift it's magical energies and begins to creak slightly open. The only real visibility of what's beyond is an even darker space, but it's cut off by a strange transparent looking creature rising through the floor. It's grin is clearly not of the friendly variety. "Well. It seems most of you have managed getting here well enough. Two of you, I've already seen. I'm sure you're all very anxious to see what is so important about this room. But, it also comes with something of a game. Under no circumstances, I'm afraid, that I can possibly allow you to speak of what you see here. Not even to the Generals themselves if they order you to. Naturally, communicating with someone whose already aware or to each other is acceptable, if there is no prying eyes and ears. This is something you will be told once and only once. You will not be obligated under a contract as it could limit potential effectiveness, but should you fail to keep secrets of this nature, then we will know. We always do. In addition, those of you with friends and subordinates will have to leave them outside. They were not invited. Of course, you can take them along on your travels, but you must not ever properly inform them of the nature of their mission. Is this easy enough for all of you to understand?"
"I hear and obey," Kraltha-Tan says, then seems to remember something: "Oh, yes, now that everyone is here, you all may address me as Kraltha-Tan," she finishes, preening a tad.
Outwardly Cera remains calm, but inwardly she sighs. Not this annoyance again... “Understood.” She says simply in response to the creature's question. The elf gives a brief nod to Kraltha-Tan to show that she has heard the dragon woman's introduction, then continues to wait – both for the newly-arrived kobold leader to introduce himself and for when they will finally find out what this is all about.
I sigh at the transparent creature. "I rarely enjoy divulging information to my superiors or my subordiantes anyway. So these terms are acceptable." Meanwhile, I idly wonder of I should have brought Helen along anyway as i examine the kobold leader's entourage.
"Well, you heard the shade. Find somewhere to wait outside." Shesten says to his minions. He then turns to the group. "I'm Shesten. I rule a small kobold tribe to the south. Hopefully this will be more worth my time then robbing foolish merchants. But, that aside - who are you?"
The elf looks at the kobold leader before introducing herself. "My name is Ceramidelle, but people usually call me Cera." She repeats the exact same intro she gave to the others earlier, then turns her gaze back to the transparent creature blocking their way, waiting to find out if it is satisfied with their answers.
The witch looked at the kobold. "Carmen Leroux." she introduced herself. She then said loud enough for everyone to hear. "Let's get this over with." She walked up to the creature, stopping but a few feet away of it. "Your message is understood and accepted."
All: "Heh. I wonder if you believe that it will be as simple as merely ceasing to speak when asked. Regardless, the path opens. Do your best to survive to see it close." Vanishing in streams of air, it blew and wrapped along the black door. Sounds and actions of all kinds of magic of unverifiable nature was clearly acting, before it died down and the door began to creep open. The space opened to reveal complete darkness before slowly coming to light. Drawers, bed, rug, mirror, it all looked like stuff you would find in a normal bedroom. Except for it's sheer size. The room looked fit for a giant, and the people standing in it looked tiny in comparison. Two of them were standing halfway, looking at the now opened door. The smaller one was in a nurses dress with pink pigtailed hair, smiling with wide eyes. It was in contrast to the tall and lithe woman in a long dark coat as she placed a hand along her short green hair. "Oooh. Hey! It's been foreeevver. I mean...geez. It's a castle. It's not like it gets up and walks off on it's own. Anymore. Oh, yeah! I'm Eli. And what you are is cute." The pink haired one stared at the males who had entered before being tapped on the shoulder and given an annoyed look. "Eli...for.." The woman sighed before staring ahead. "Ignore my little brother. He's an idiot." She approached with a seriousness in her eyes that looked like her natural default expression. "One..two.." She began to count before stopping and glancing at the party. "Can I ask where the other one is?"
"Yes, madam, you can ask: this does not ensure that we happen to know the answer to your question, but without asking, you would not learn that information either," Kraltha-Tan explains, having vacated the elevator and herded the superfluous kobolds into it. "For myself, I'm very curious who this sixth individual who has been referenced repeatedly is, and why he is presumed dead..." She finishes, trying to sound cheerful...
Finally. Cera watches with interest as the annoying creature vanishes and the door finally opens to reveal... what appears to be a very large bedroom, fit for a giant. There are a few people inside, two of them looking towards the group. Cera's examination of the room and the people there is interrupted by the question about 'the other one'. The other one? Hmm, I believe the voice from earlier mentioned something about presuming Six to be dead... I think I'll let someone else mention it. Just as she thinks that Kraltha-Tan answers the question, making it unnecessary for Cera to do so herself. Thus she remains quiet and continues to examine the room and the people there while listening to the conversation. (OOC: A bit of a problem here: While my character has heard about the people in the room, and has even met one of them (lady Atis), I don't know enough about them to guess who is who, or what each of them looks like. This made it difficult to write a proper response, when I am not even sure who the green-haired woman is.)
"Indeed, as my associate Kraltha-Tan has expressed. Our business has been kept quite discreet and none of us have even met each other prior to this day. So alas, I would be surprised if any of us know where this 'other one' is." I contemplate probing minds, but I decide that it would probably be a not very great idea and keep my mind tentacles to myself.
All: "...no shit. Obviously, they're dead. Fuck it. Guess you are going to be one person short." She gave the dragon and the sphinx a look that made it seem like this wasn't new information but still surprised at them not being present. She let out a kind of annoyed sigh. "...I'm Ash, if you don't know that." She turned her head back a bit to look behind. "Hey. Atis. Zander. Those people are here." Her voice isn't really loud even though it can be clearly heard projecting. "You all probably have questions about stuff? I do too. Right. So..." Eli began before pausing as a mist of magic appeared at his side, and with it a red haired woman with glasses. Her arms crosses underneath her, with a stern expression. "Cera." Her tone didn't make it clear if she was acknowledging Cera's presence as good or bad. "So..that's Atis. And the guy whose taking time to get his ass over here is Zander." Ash's kind of manly way of speaking seemed to fit her appearance perfectly. Eli stepped forward to the group with his wide eyes looking at them with wonder. "Oookay. So here's the thing. You know how usually you have Dark Lords not being dead? Weeelll.." Eli simply pointed upwards to the room, where the almost botomless looking expanse of a roof housed a huge blue and white kind of light glimmering down. "Yeah...Krauss is kind of....around. So we need him to be all back together like reverse Humpty Dumpty." "...the hell kind of explanation is that?" Ash shot Eli a sharp glare. "Look. The last battle happened against legendary heroes...and Krauss kicked all of their asses. Of course, he did. But one of them had to be a cheap bitch about it and now his soul isn't in his body. They did manage to destroy that...so I killed them all, obviously. But now we're stuck with him like that. We can't even be sure if he can see or hear anything around him." Ash made a bit more of a detailed explanation though it seemed like she was glancing over a lot. "Carmen...you look lovely." The fourth one of them wandered in, with brown hair and with a golden sword sheathed at his waist. He took a look at the rest of the group, still fixating a glance on Carmen briefly. "Lord Zander as Madam Ash has said. You have been granted the honor of finding God King Krauss a new body. Build one, have him possess one, bring back his old one....we're not picky. We just need him back together." "A dark lord is not the type of being that can merely take just anything as a vessel." Atis began to speak. "There's only a select few viable candidates for proper soul transfer. Resurrecting the old one can be done...though with what few remains of him it is not a thing that can simply be done with a single spell. Constructing an shell would require incredibly specific materials. Does that help clarify what exactly your mission is?" (I figured that I would just go ahead and do the debriefing bit now.)
“Lady Atis.” Cera bows slightly to the red-haired woman, then continues to listen to the introductions and the explanations that follow. As the four speak she discreetly examines each one. Well, fuck. This is going to suck. Is Cera's first thought after hearing what their task is. The news that the Master they serve is almost dead is not something she has even considered, but she manages to remain calm and not let it shake her. After all, 'a soul without a body' is not the same as 'gone for good and never coming back'. The elf takes a little bit to consider each option, before speaking. “If we were to somehow resurrect our King, despite all the difficulty such a task poses, he will get his old body back – the same body that got destroyed. There's nothing stopping another hero from destroying it a second time – whether by skill and power, or by dumb luck. Am I mistaken?” She pauses briefly to hear if anyone has any objections to what she said, or something to add. “Building a new body or helping him possess a new one... both have pros and cons. Getting the required materials won't be easy, that much is clear. As for possession... a lot depends on who – or what – the soon-to-be-possessed body belongs to.” She stops herself and takes a deep breath. “Before I get carried away we should find out what each option will require. I assume you already know, or at least have an idea, about that, Lady Atis?” She asks the red-haired woman (OOC: Well, I guess that explains what Dromani sensed earlier)
Kraltha, said nothing, her face remained placidly calm, but, inwardly, she was considering her options... She could possibly be of great assistance here, but doing so exposed a weakness of hers, was it worth it?
