Suddenly the darkness was replaced by bright light. Sho covered her eyes, briefly blinded. When her eyes got used to the light she took a look around... and realized she was back in Kusu Village. No, it's not the village. Sho corrected herself right away. There were over two dozen houses around her, some for kunoichi like her, others for civilian families. There were also some other new buildings. They all seemed new, probably built recently. Where is everyone? Sho wondered as she realized she was all alone, not a soul in sight despite the size of the village. Everything's strangely quiet... There were no sounds to be heard: no wind, no animals, no birds, no people... nothing. Looking around she noticed that all buildings had their doors closed and their windows shut tight. All except one. The door of my home is opened invitingly. How nice. Sho thought dryly. Slowly and carefully she made her way to the only house that was not locked tight. “Welcome home, honey~” A very familiar voice greeted her from inside the house. What the hell...? Even by her standards this was one weird dream she was having... “I...” She hesitated how to reply as she walked further in the house. “I'm having a less than ideal day, to be honest...” Because I screwed up my training... “That might be why I have no appetite right now. But thanks for the food anyway.” She sat down and looked at her naked double, ready to react and defend herself in an instant. What kind of a challenge am I dealing with here?
