No. The original goal was a minimum of 500 words per chapter, but I stopped counting back before we broke a thousand chapters, and some are much longer and some guest chapters are shorter. But for ~500 words over ~6200 chapters would be ~3.1 million. Probably a bit more.
Haven't updated this in a while...just looked at the spreadsheet and as it stands now (likes can always change things), I only need to write 265 more chapters to finish this story off! However, things can change rapidly based on likes, so some branches may drag out longer. Still, progress!
Still playing catchup. 216 days left in 2023, and I need to write more than 1 chapter a day to finish the story...but recent archive binges are pushing that goal further away. Sometimes the likes create more chapters-to-be-written faster than I can write them. One step forward, two steps back. Still, the work goes on.
Couple notes: Currently sitting at 6,370 chapters Of those, 938 are endings (754 of those are full endings, i.e. 20 chapters deep). There is more work to be done.

At the moment the minimum depth of any branch in LLNO is 8, which when things get closer to the end might mean they lowest ending chapter might be 9. Thinking about changing it so that the lowest ending chapter is 10. There's a lot more writing to do before I have to commit to that kind of decision, but generally speaking the shorter the branch the more difficult it is to write a satisfying ending. Even the 15s feel very truncated to me.
There's a slight pause in the writing because there's been an archive-dive and I have about 1300 likes and bookmarks to add to the spreadsheet, which is going to shift which branches get updates since there are a lot of greens and oranges bumped up in the queue.
Hah. Just noticed that when not logged-in, LLNO bumps up to #5 on the top ten list (and certain chapters become almost unreadable gibberish). Worry not, readers! We're still #8 on the One True Top Ten List, and in your hearts.
If a given branch varies considerably in tone or suddenly diverges into a really specific kink, it is because: 1) It is really difficult to try and keep faithful to the flow of a branch when they're not mapped out in advance and chapters are often written weeks, months, even years apart; and 2) I try not to repeat the exact same choices and options, because some folks have complained about the number of futanari chapters or impregnation fetish chapters, so I like to try and throw some variety in there. Doesn't always work, but I try.
Story is far from dead, but I've been busy with real-life stuff so writing fewer chapters. Still working through the spate of to-be-written chapters from that archive binge back in early July. I'd feel bad about that, but there are over 6,500 chapters at this point.

I've been thinking of a rival character for Lois Lane in my story. I wanna go with someone who would start off stronger than Lois but also challenge her on a psychological level. This character should be an opposite to Lois but I think Lois should grow from this rivalry. I'm thinking this rival should be someone who has forgotten the reasons why they fight, but that can't stop themself because they feels as though it is the only way they know how to live. With Shazam powers, Lois would be vulnerable to recordings of herself saying "Shazam". I'm pretty sure Shazam is also vulnerable to black magic. Those could be things the rival might exploit. Is there anyone in the DC universe matching that description?
