Mountain of trouble (Fantasy-Postapo)

Adriana had composed herself a bit over the last hours of the journey. She looked around the landscape, trying to spot any danger.

 

Angel takes in the sight of the mountains, trying her best not to squeal in over excitement. She looks around her surroundings, while holding onto her runed spear rightly.

 

The weather started getting worse, and cloudy sky beginning rain. Not too much, but enough too wet them. J'zargo pull off his saddle pack cloak and put it on himself.
"You too should have yours own in the pack. Gilbert know how to preper equipment." Catmen say, pulling on hood.

 

Adriana found her own cloak on the pack and fastened the heavy woollen cloth around herself. She beckoned Runa to come take refuge from the rain under her cloak.

 

Angel was already wearing a cloak of her own, and instead offers her extra one to the group. "If any of you need a spare clock, I brought my own, so I'm not using the one that was provided." She pats her bag, and gives the group a smile.

 

Rain falling stronger and stronged, wind push in their back, cooling them to bones. The visibility smaller to few meters before them.

 

Adriana pulled the cloak closer around herself and Runa, trying to shut out the harrowing wind. ‘Maybe we should find shelter to hide from the ghastly weather?’ she asked the others.

 

"Caves might be out of the question, the zombies might make them into their dens." Angel says while scratching her head, "Though maybe we could clear them out?" She suggested with a curious look towards the group.

 

J'zargo look at both girl, with wet mouthhair.
"To find cave we must leave the road. But I have good news, soon we should reach small Inn, with wooden walls. Here we should find a warm place." After some time, where all their clothes get wet, they saw Inn, about J'zargo taking. But hole in the wall and no light in windows suggest that isn't ocupite by people.

 

Adriana shivered with her damp clothes in the cold air, she followed J’zargo along the road. The witch looked with worry to the abandoned inn, ‘The hole in the wall doesn’t bode well. I would guess, we are not the only ones who sought shelter here. Maybe someone should scout the place to see if it’s occupied by beasts—or worse.’

 

Seeing the inn was badly damaged, Angel lost hope. But, its roof was still intact, hopefully. Making it a better place to be in this weather. "I'll do it." The busty guardswoman volunteered to go, she then dismounts. "Could someone watch my horse, please." She pats her mount, and whispers, "I'll be right back." She then proceeds to head for the semingly abandoned inn, with her spear in hand.

 

Adriana got off her mare with Runa in her arm under her cloak. The witch went over to take the reins of Angel’s horse. She looked to the horses and Runa said, ‘What do you guys think? Hear or smell anything?’
[Adriana subconciously activated Speak with Animals to talk to the horses and Runa.]

 

Angel slowly come closer to the inn. Only sound of her steps in the muud can be hear, and wind in the empty place. When she enter inside, she noticed stables, well with long rope and painted barrel up to way inside building. She could see some trash and broken things, but no any corpes. Empty and quiet.

Runa shake his head.
"Nothing my dear, but this mean nothing. Rain is falling since few hours, It wash any smell what can be left by anything."

 

Sophia climbs off her Horse.

"I Help Adriana and take a look around The Inn while she looks inside. If there is Trouble i can quickly react and Help. The Rest of You watches The Bushes and Yell if You spot any Danger"

Sophia draws her Sword and walks arround The Inn

 

Adriana nodded to Runa, ‘I don’t suppose you’d scout ahead for us?’ She looked to her bay mare, ‘How are you holding up? This weather is really rotten. Do you have a name, dear?’
She looked to Sophia, ‘Good idea. Here, let me get your horse too.’ She led the three horses together and took their reins, ‘Eyes and ears open, boys and girls.’ She told them.

 

When Sophia enter to inn ground, she see egzacly the same, what Angel see before. She also noticed, that enter to Inn, and enter to stable was open. Few window in the building was broken, but rest was shout and She can't see what is inside.

Runa shake his head.
"No way, here is nice and warm, and I have to protect..." He didn't finish, stoped by something what he remeber to himself. Horse answer simply.
"Rufus. And yes, I'm fine."He look like not want to chat. J'zargo jump off his horse.
" Not good. I was knowing this people, old Jakub know how to make beer. Shame that he ended... "

 

‘You have to protect what?’ Adriana looked at Runa puzzled. The gypsy laughed at her horse, ‘Rufus? That’s a strange name for a mare, isn’t it?’
She frowned at J’zargo, ‘I’m sorry to hear, I fear there are countless similar fates outside the sturdy city walls. Those who couldn’t flee—or didn’t want to.’

 

When she entered the inn, Angel draws her sword while keeping her spear pointed forward. "Okay, everything seems fine. But, we can't be too sure." The busty guardswoman keeps her ears peeled, while walking as quite as she can.

 

Sophia meanwhile turns her attention to The Stables and goes to investigate them

 

Runa look away, but finaly answer with dodge. "As your master, I need to protect my servant. Who will serve me of you die?" Horse didn't continue conversation. J'zargo nod saddly. "I know, but this family was realy kind. But it seems they join to many others victims of plague."

When Angel enter to Inn building, she can say it is one more hole, in the roof this time. In the center was fire place, and a few tables. In the background she see boxes and corridor to next rooms.

On the stables Sophia find a box for horses, lader what lead to secend floor and no any tool. Suddenly she hear something like footsteps, of something light. Something on the secend floor.
